Here’s the thing, if you want an appointment go inside and make one. They are not the best at returning phone calls. I have not had my hair colored, but my cuts are always fantastic. It is a cozy small business and the atmosphere is relaxing. The pricing is also very affordable. Bring cash, because their debit machine is not always functional. Those are the ins and outs. It is laid back and if you are into something high tech you may not enjoy the experience as much. It is an «Organic» and Eco-conscious salon, which I love.

I’ve had my hair cut at Lindsay’s since the salon opened. All of the stylists are professional and talented. The vibe is friendly and unpretentious – like a favorite coffee shop. I wouldn’t get my hair cut anywhere else.

I’ve left messages twice requesting an appointment. No one ever called me back! I won’t be calling a third time…

I went to Lindsays first time on Saturday. First impression, old, small, hippie décor, comfortable. Two girls were working that day, both very nice and talkative. Sarah, the owner’s daughter did my hair. I will never go back. She was over assertive and specifically told me what she was going to do with my hair, after it was done. I showed her a pic of my hair from my previous hairdresser, and explained exactly what I wanted. The darker roots were a big issue for me and I was specific about that. I explained that I hated roots to show, and she told me «that was the style» She went through my hair with scattered foils with a darker color, then barely trimmed my hair. She did not know how to style as she struggled through the blow dry. My roots were NEVER touched. I started voicing my concern before she was even done b/c I could tell she did not prepare to touch them. As I started to voice my concerns and dislike because she did not touch my roots, she went on to explain I needed to go back natural because it is just took hard for me to get my hair done so often. I replied, «but that is what I do» she ignored me told me to think about it for 48 hours. She was determined not to do my roots. So I left extremely upset, then she charged me 160.00 !!! Unbelievable. I do not believe Sarah has had any professional training as she explained she grew up in the shop with her Mother. I would be very leary about going to this salon.

I went t Linday’s for the first time today for a cut and color. I wasn’t sure what I wanted exactly, just that I needed to do something about the ever-increasing gray as well as something with the messy, trying-to-grow-out-a-pixie-cut hairstyle. After a brief discussion with the owner, Cris, we decided that rather than touching up my roots, I would go with an all-over color, and the color would be non-permanent, allowing it to slowly fade over two months. I liked this idea, especially since I’m waffling back and forth with the idea of going naturally gray at some point. The salon is small — it’s the first floor of an old wooden house that’s right off of the main drag in old town Leesburg. It’s nice and cozy with friendly folks at three stations. There’s a comfy couch to sit at while you wait, which certainly beats the cold chairs at my regular salon. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the hairstyle, and especially the color. I was even more pleased when I got the bill — $ 100 for a cut AND color? Especially using organic products? That’s awesome.

I used to get my hair cut by Joanne. She has a really good personality, but I wasn’t always satisfied with my hair cut. The biggest reason that I stopped going to Lindsay’s Salon was the price. A hair cut is around $ 50.
