Bob Evans Farms

I had errands to run in Leesburg this morning and at the last minute decided to have breakfast. I haven’t been in a Bob Evans in near a decade. To my surprise, everything was amazing! The sausage gravy and biscuits are to die for. My server was Quincey who was very attentive professional and had a delightful personality. I think I’ll come back soon!

People really hate on Bob Evans, but I’ve never had bad service or bad food at one. I used to go to the Oakton location all the time when I lived out there, and recently gave Leesburg a try. It’s great! Service was absolutely wonderful, and they make a great breakfast.

My review is about the service and demeanor of the staff here. I have had poor service and long waits on dead nights here before but I never bothered to review this location. Tonight, I am a tad bothered and bewildered.
Bob Evans is always consistent on quality and flavor. I love eating here but the staff is right out of some Fraggle Rock episode! Just a stumbling incompetent hostile group overall.
I walk in tonight and it’s 30% full. No hostess. Everyone huddled hiding and chatting behind a half wall. I sit down at the counter and finally after many minutes I had to interrupt and ask for a menu.
Jessie M, the Manager on duty, served me and was ummmm either completely exhausted or on downers. She has zero energy and seemed pissed that I called her into action. Why work here if you can’t handle it?
You can read these reviews and see that this place has a poor staff. The foods fine.
No wonder Bob Evans is closing locations all over the place.
Hostility, laziness and bad hires will eventually kill this location. The only thing keeping it afloat must be the outlet mall next door.

Good food but poor service. The salad came out so late that we barely had time to finish them before our entrees arrived.
We’ll probably return because it’s one of my 10-​year old son’s favorite restaurants.

If I could give no stars, I would! Horrendous customer service. Not to mention, the AC was on when the temperature outside was 45 degrees. We waited 15 minutes just to get our drinks. Then another 40 minutes to get our food. I had 4 people in my party and the 1 person waited another 30 minutes after everyone else was served, just to get theirs. Any requests for refills were ignored. Forget getting any condiments, extra napkins. Due to the temperature being so cold, our fries were cold and the genius solution was to put them in the microwave. Yes, it was the manager who thought of this ridiculous idea, instead of making everyone a fresh batch. Never again Bob Evans. Cracker Barrel needs to come to leesburg and replace you!

The food was average. Went to pay the bill in the front of the store and had the manager ring me up. Decided to add a couple of cookies and all of a sudden Home Boy was lecturing me on reading. I was explaining the bill was not correct and he indicated I read the sign wrong. It amazes me that the customer is always wrong. Home Boy was proven wrong and apologized. I indicated there was no need to apologize then he added «I get your type of customers every day».
I’m not sure why that statement was made but I know it wasn’t necessary. I hope it means people that are good in math because they have a graduate degree. I managed fast food restaurants while going to college but not as a grown man. Last time I go to that establishment.

I have been here many times, but we had the worst waiter today. Over 45 min and no food or refills. They are not even packed, but we have to keep asking for everything. Food is ok, but services has been a lot better.

Food is a 10! service is TERRIBLE!!! My boyfriend and I went in on 2 separate occasions.
When we ate in:
There was a younger girl with dirty blonde hair that was sitting down with a family of regular customers. It took her 15 minutes just to greet us. Then our luck, another couple who are regulars came in and sat down so she had to sit down to talk to them the entire time we ate! Our drinks were empty for atleast 15 minutes and we we’re done eating. She never once asked how everything was.
We also got to-​go on Saturday January 10^th and JIMMY wouldnt acknowledge my boyfriend as he stood in front of the register for about 5 minutes. The manager walked over and asked Jimmy why he was looking at his timeclock while there was a customer standing right in front of him! Jimmy was then sent home and the manager had to cash out my boyfriend. As a co worker of his said «Bye Jimmy» he then laughed. I have worked in a restaraunt before and I find the associates attitudes rude.
I will never eat here again which is a shame because I love this place!

Went in on a recent Saturday, no wait, took at least 10 minutes to get 3 drinks, food took even longer… Might have been because the staff was too busy chatting with each other, can’t really look to management, he was chatting to two guys at a table about football for 15 minutes. Could have been why when our meals finally came you could tell they had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time. Won’t be going back to this location

We have been coming here for years and years and just love it here.
Your waiters can be hit or miss with their efficiency but mostly they take very good care of us.
We signed up for their email alerts and we regularly get coupons for ‘buy one get one free’ breakfast meals along with other discount offers.
Hubby just loves their Biscuits and Gravy and so do I. The biscuits are always so very fresh and warm and just plain delicious.
I bounce around with their breakfast selections; I go for the pancakes, french toast, biscuits and gravy, and their healthier option choices like BE FIT breakfasts just to name a few. We’ve probably tried nearly everything they have on their menu by now.
We were unable to resist their latest offering of Apple Cinnamon Blossom and boy was it delicious. It looks all dry on the outside but its a trickster because it was warm and moist through and through.
We will be back, our old friend.

Back at the Bob again for breakfast. As usual the service is very hit or miss, mostly a miss. Food is pretty good and very consistent. Kitchen messed up our order but or seemingly dysfunctional rookie got it fixed. In all pretty good breakfast; above average for the area.

This is a review for their carry out.
I’ve dine in at Bob Evans before and they were good. But this was my first time getting carry out since I was pressed on time.
I know they were busy so I didn’t mind waiting for the carry out order. But when the guy brought it out he said «I’m sure you will find everything is in here.»
I should have checked but my fiancé was like I think it should be fine. Nope it was not. When we got home I took everything out and one of the dessert was missing for my fiancé meal. Also, the rolls for my meal was missing as well. Not to mention my apple pie looked like someone has already eaten half of it.
I was going to call but what is the point when all they are going to do is say sorry, roll their eyes, and go on with their day. So I’m just going to save myself the trouble and waste of time.
I would have given them 0 stars if that was an option! But I guess I will settle with one.

I literally feel like I just got back from the twilight zone of dining experience. It is seriously laughable. So my friends and I just got done with a show and we decided to go to Bob Evans. I got there first and told the manager (who was doing the seating?) we would be a party of 8. Now it was 3pm so it was not busy at all and the manager huffed and puffed and literally said this «Your table won’t be ready for a long time» and then walked away. Didn’t give us a time or tell us to take a seat or even gave us the courtesy of a smile. I took a seat with my other cast mate and we were discussing on waiting until the rest of our party got there then going next door to Friday’s (which I wish I did!) but not even 3 minutes later the SAME MANAGER came back and told us our table was ready… ok… we go to the table and all chairs and the table is sopping wet from the cleaner. Politely I asked the waiter if he could wipe it down. He did 1 solid wipe and walked away, so I had to wipe it off myself. My cast mates and I were in a good mood and made jokes to keep the mood light. Then we met the server from hell. He takes our drink orders not writing anything down, which I thought ok maybe he has a good memory– he repeats it back and its all wrong. We repeat it again and one of my cast mates tries to explain to him how are bill will be separated to give him advanced notice. He replies «let me get the drinks ok, I will deal with that later» Plain rudeness. To make a long story short out of a table of 8 my meal was the only one brought to me on time and correctly. I think halfway through our server was fired, so I do feel bad… though the new server Jay was excellent and tried to make up for our experience. For some reason we couldn’t tip our new server on the card only our old server, so we gave Jay cash. Rude manager, incompetent servers, ok food.

OK, so here’s the deal. I like bob evans… but this one is repetitively terrible! I’ve had 2 terrible visits in the last month. I don’t think I will be back, unless I get Scott’s section.
I order the same thing every time. Farmers Breakfast– scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, home fries, bacon, and I want cinnamon pancakes rather than regular.
Visit 1: Lunch Time midweek. Restaurant is mostly empty. Took 1 and a half hours from sitting down to leaving. My server forgot parts of the order (pancakes). I ordered Soup to go, but the server forgot to add it to the bill, and put the order in, making us wait an additional 20 min. We never got our drinks refilled.
Visit 2. Dinner time Midweek: I ordered my usual. Instead I got Scrambled eggs w/​cheddar, banana pancakes, hash browns and bacon. My significant other ordered the same thing, and got strawberry pancakes. Our waitress disappeared for 15 min, so I was unable to correct the order until the Manager came over. Thankfully she rectified the situation. She’s very nice, and kudos to her.
I think between some of the waitstaff and the kitchen staff, they really make the brand of Bob Evans go downhill.
Go sit in Scott’s section. He’ll get your order right.

It’s Bob Evans — nothing more or nothing less. Go for the food — especially the sausage. Go to IHOP fir pancakes.
We have always gotten consistently good food and service here. We’ll be back!

The restaurant is clean and bright. We were seated promptly and the service was good. The food is just ok. No frills but you don’t expect any frills at Bob Evans. Overall we had a good experience and will definitely be back.

Ok. I would have definitely went to Ihop if it wasn’t so packed but Bob Evans definitely did the job. For some reason I think they’re not cooking majority of their food anymore. The rubbery pancakes I received made me suspicious. I basically ordered a typical pancake, eggs, and sausage breakfast. The pancakes seemed a bit on the tough/​rubbery side. Everything else was fine and I think they can do without putting a garnish on the eggs. They put long sprig of Italian flat leaf parsley on my eggs. It looked like a piece of hay from the barn. Otherwise service was great.

Yes, the service is very slow and I find the interior of the restaurant to be a little dark. But I got a pile o’pancakes and bacon and they were delicious and inexpensive.
I don’t find there to be that many good restaurant choices around here, and am disappointed by the lack of McDonalds’ (the food court doesn’t even have one! It has burger king, YUCK). Anyway, because of this, my number one choice for eating in this area is Bob Evans. Breakfast all day and its not that expensive! And right next to the outlet mall. I have no problem with this place, and you shouldn’t either!

I’m not really a a big fan of chain restaurants, but there are a few that I don’t mind. A few that I actually like. Bob Evans is one that I like. I’ve been to this Leesburg location a bunch of times and I’m never had a problem. I’ve been by myself, I’ve been with large crowds. Each time they gotten things right all in a timely manner. I’ve also been there fro breakfast lunch, and dinner. So I’ve pretty much had it all. On this last trip, we decided to do take out. The kids were fussy and we didn’t want to take them out. My wife called in the order and I went to pick it up.
When I arrived they were still putting the finishing touches on it. They offered me some water while I waited. I said no, there was no need. A few minutes later everything was nicely packed and I was on my way.
I ordered the Pot Roast, broccoli, and a side salad. My wife got the Chicken Fried Steak, broccoli, and a baked potato. I’ve loaded some pictures for you to see. They did a nice job of packing everything up. The food was still nice and hot as were the bread rolls. The pumpkin bread was good also. I liked my pot roast, there could have been a little more, but hey, I’m at fatass, what can I say? Anyhow I liked it anyway. My wife said her meal was just fine as well. I think we ordered this off the $ 9.99, I don’t remember.
The food here is actually pretty decent. I think the breakfast is better, but then that’s my fatass talking again. Anytime I can get a side of bacon is good =)
If you are looking to eat in, then you should be fine. Service has always been good to me. The place is always clean and the servers are friendly
If you are looking for a good cheap meal, then is your place. For some reason everything we have family in town, we always end up here. This place loves to attract the old seniors =)
