If you’re looking for good seafood and aren’t hung up on fancy décor or decent silverware– this is the place! We went for Valentines Day Dinner and even though though it was 18 outside– inside was warm and friendly! We were told it was a 15 minute wait but after getting drinks from the bar– our name was called and we were seated in the small side slanted room! Our waiter(Russell?) was excellent– we began with clams Mexicali and mussels– perfect! Salad was average– entrees outstanding!!! Stuffed flounder and stuffed lobster– delicious fresh glazed carrots too! We were too full for dessert so brought home the banana cream pie! Despite a few things that we easily could overlook– we are happy to give this place a 5 and look forward to many more visits with family and friends!

Pretty good overall! Had decent food, pretty good sushi, and a fun on-the-water experience. The table ordered tuna rolls, and they were pretty good! Ordered the mixed seafood special and the flavors of the scallops and shrimp were on point — a little overcooked for the salmon and tuna(for my taste). I also ordered a side of crab bisque that was alright. My husband got the half dozen oysters, and they were large and delicious, but they needed spice! Water tastes a little of the local water, so I’d recommend getting a drink or adding some water to your beverage! Service was hit-and-miss, but decent. The restaurant is a cool, diner-type on the water and so you’re sure to enjoy the décor!

Went there on a sunny Sat on Nov 14,2015,around 4:30 or so. Sat at the bar side, the«enclosed» section outside, We got seafood and bar food, with a great view. and nice service. I think people loose perspective of certain places, This is a place with a beautiful view, it looks to me to be a bar that expanded over the year’s into a restaurant. If your going to a place with a beautiful view, and you end up being seated inside staring at a wall, move or leave, don’t complain here. When my wife and I got out of the car, I said to her, If they try to seat us inside looking at a wall, we’re leaving. But all and all, if you are looking for casual food and a want a real nice view, this is a nice place

Awesome!!! Had the Clams Mexicali, crab bisque and the spicy yellowfin tuna. I highly recommend it all. I had a taste of the crab cakes and they are great as well. Service was really good. Friendly service. And just as an FYI it’s just a short drive from Smithville NJ. Great touch with the oyster crackers on the table. Another Triple D place checked off the list!

Stopped by OC Inn for a nice seafood dinner and we were not disappointed! Not too crowded but we got there early –about 3pm. Started off with a sampler platter and a colossal shrimp cocktail! Beautiful! Sampler had s nice pile of huge crab! Right in the middle and surrounded by oysters, clams and a couple of steamed shrimp. Delish! Hubble followed his shrimp with a cup of chowder. I snacked on huge oyster crackers and horseradish till our entrees came! We shared a broiled stuffed shrimp platter and a stuffed twin lobster tail platter. The Brazilian lobster was plump and juicy and filled with a creamy crab cake stuffing-all lump crabmeat. The 3 huge shrimp were each stuffed with a crabcake both platters were cooked perfectly. We started coming here about 30 years ago and we will be back! And soon!

The food was really, really good. The lump crab meat was better than good. The freshness hit the mark, everyone’s plate was cooked perfectly. My favorite was the Jersey Devil Shrimp(crispy shrimp covered in flavorful hot sauce over a mound of home made creamy Cole slaw) and the garlic lump crab sautéed with spinach. Great food, clean crisp and tons of variety — I will definitely be back !

I first went here for a friend’s birthday party because it was her favorite place, now I can’t stop coming back. The food is delicious and the view is really pretty. I also love the laid back atmosphere. If you go here expect to wait, but it’s no big deal because they have really good bloody marys and you can sit on the water. My FAVORITE dish here is Chef Scott’s Stuffed Salmon, it is stuffed with brie and crab, topped with asparagus and balsamic butter sauce over wild rice! Everything else I have tried is fresh and delicious. Go here if your craving seafood:)

Another zero by Guy Fieri. I think he’s inhaled too much hair product. Such a picturesque setting amid a sea of grass. Such a dumpy restaurant that in no way treats customers to the beautiful views and compounds the whole enterprise by serving so-so diner-like food. The building is like two houses rammed together, diners crammed into two rooms, able to barely peer out at the wild beauty of the marshes through narrow vinyl double-hung windows. Romantic, huh? I had the mixed grill, a“signature” dish of overcooked tuna, salmon, scallops and shrimp. Okay, the shrimp weren’t bad. That was preceded by a wan salad, more white than green, with TWO tiny grape tomatoes for accent — whoopie doo. No Jersey tomatoes in the Leeds Point area in early September? Clams casino could’ve come out of box from a supermarket freezer. A tiny salad for my wife was $ 12. At least it was all green for the price of that green. An oval dish full of crab and spinach was SO salty and garlicky — and my wife likes both flavors — that she pushed it away after attempting a few bites. Steamers were, thankfully, good, and only one had a little grit. Service was friendly and prompt despite being fairly crowded with LOTS of fat people — a bad sign when they’re so numerous; they’ll eat anything. What a shame. We drove 70 miles hoping for a unique and charming and really good New Jersey seafood experience. Bad views and average food can be found around the corner from us. We could have punished ourselves much more easily, right here in our hometown.

I’ve been to Oyster Creek Inn twice so far this summer– and love it. The view is really nice, the service was excellent(the first time) and the food is great. The second time was Labor Day weekend, so it was insanely busy, and our waitress was new-our food was cold– DELICOUS, but cold, lol) however we were understanding– it was crazy busy. We sat in the Crab room. You’ve got to try: *Clams Mexicali-delicious and just a little kick. *NJ Clam bisque,(OMG so good) *Spicy Yellowfin Tuna.(chef specialty) It was cooked perfectly, and so many different flavors were coming through at once– I was in food heaven. lol *Parmesean entrusted Crab Cakes.(small, but wow, so tasty) I tried the Pop Pop’s little necks– they were good but white wine in the broth was really over powering.(and I love white wine stocks) All in all I love this place and will continue to visit Oyster Creek and each time try something different!

Soft shell crabs for life!!! The wait was ridiculously long but well worth it! Had the tortilla shrimp soup for an appetizer which was very good! As soon as I saw soft shells on the menu I knew exactly what I was getting!!! Sooooo good!!! They were done in an old bay white wine sauce!?! Genius!!! Some of the best soft shell carbs I’ve had in a long time!!! I’ll definitely be back to this place!

Had a tasty lunch in the crab room today. The Jersey Devil shrimp was delicious and the Mexicali Clams were good. The service was not the best. None of the men who took orders or brought food smiled even once. The female server did smile, however. We waited way too long to have our drink order and food order taken. The food and drink arrived quickly but no one ever checked up on us throughout the meal. We had to stop servers passing by to ask for drink refills.

Great bar. Absolutely almost a perfect Cosmo I jus say. Food was very good. I had the French fried lobster tail it was 4 – 5. Aliens Clam Bar is SO much better. Overall things were good though. The Banana Cream Pie was good too but needed more cream pie, it was thin.

Wow! This is a hidden gem. Located on the Great Bay, in Leeds Point, NJ.(Birthplace of the Jersey Devil) Found by accident while exploring the roads around Smithville Village, on our way to points Souith. Best views of the marsh and bay, hot, fresh creative food, attentive servers. Do eat — The Parmesan Encrusted Crab Cake & The Jersey Devil Shrimp. Don’t eat — Fried Softshell Crab Sandwich. It was fresh, steaming hot, but unfortunately the breading overpowered the crab. Maybe we should’ve ordered sauteed instead of fried. Do not sit outside unless liberally coated in DEET, biting flies are waiting to have you for dinner.

Delicious with a great view and reasonable prices, just don’t forget to cover up or wear bug spray to avoid the green heads! We had a great dinner here– I ate the sushi bombs and mussels. The sushi bombs had salmon and wasabi inside and were fried, topped with sweet chili sauce and some spicy aioli, so if you don’t like spice, I’d avoid these(though the amount is manageable given you don’t end up eating a huge bit of wasabi). The mussels were HUGE– I didn’t end up eating them all. Meals are delicious and the view is perfect– highly recommend!

Food was excellent. The grilled oysters were the best I’ve ever had. With a hint of smoke. The mussels were so plunk and fresh. Can’t wait to return.

Not quite mediocre but also not quite very good. I’d say the food is good. The view is nice but the interior needs updating. I don’t care if the tables are set if the food is great but that’s not the case here. The saving grace? The Jersey Devil shrimps. If you can order it as a dinner portion, do it. They are absolutely fantastic and just the right heat.

I don’t love many things more than I love butter, and this place knows how to butter me up while buttering me down.(I’m not really sure what I mean by that, but let’s go with it for now.) Jess P. is still trying to convince me to be more adventurous and she wanted to try the baked clams and Jersey Devil shrimp appetizers. They only give you 2 shrimp and you can buy 1 clam at a time, so we both had 1 clam and 1 shrimp. The clam was yummy and had no fillers which was nice. The shrimp was huge and a bit spicy. For my meal, I got the sesame coated tuna,(raw-just the way most things should be) which should have come over greens with candied walnuts, Gorgonzola and some other yummy stuff. The waitress(almost) made me angry when she told me that they were out of the greens, but I could order the tuna with 2 sides instead. BUMMER amIright? I don’t feel your sympathy. So I got the tuna with a baked potato and boiled carrots. Here comes the butter… can you smell it? The carrots were perfectly boiled and swimming in a mini pool of buttery amazingness. Oh so sweet and… well, buttery. The potato was perfectly baked and you bet your taste buds I dipped that baby into my butter pool. The tuna was cooked very well with a slight sear on the outside. The flavor was lacking, so I salted it and squeezed some lemon on top. And yea, I may have dipped a few pieces in the butter. Stop judging me already! If you’ve never been here, for the sake of the butter, you gotta try it out.

After reading a few reviews, I was excited to learn on their website that Guy Fieri had visited as part of his Diners, Drive-ins & Dives series. This being a winter night, there were no tables outside, but you could see that the setting must be quite beautiful during the day. It had that easy feel of an east coast seafood joint, with lots of wood and nautical items like an old fishing rod over the bar. And it was jamming, even during the winter; a waiter commented that this was the slowest night they’d had in a while. I wanted the dishes Guy tried in my belly, so Lori K. and I ordered the jumbo Jersey devil shrimp and clams Mexicali. The shrimp were colossal, and the homemade hot sauce had a pleasant punch. The tiny shredded coleslaw had a nice cooling effect. The clams were even better, and a steal at $ 1 each. They were loaded with Mexican cheese, poblano peppers, chorizo, and a chewy clam. I had the crab cakes. It was an enormous amount of food. First, a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Then, two crab cakes, all lump crab meat with no fillers(gluten free) and two sides. I had the garlic mashed red potatoes and the green beans(that’s healthy, right?). The crab cakes were very good, but I do like a bit of red pepper or something for texture, and a bit of seasoning or sautéing in butter would have gone a long way. The tarter sauce and lemon added a nice flavor. Lori K. had the sesame crusted tuna with cooked carrots and a baked potato. I thought the tuna was perfectly seared(rare) and it also needed a bit of seasoning(lemon and salt brightened it up). It was interesting after such flavorful appetizers to have such hands off mains. But I imagine the idea is that you add what you like. The service was efficient and attentive. I would definitely return the next time I’m in the area.

This was my second time there and certainly not the last. I had the flounder with capers, fresh tomato’s over wild rice and wilted spinach. Flounder was a bit overdone, but not to the point of bad. Of course we stated out with oysters. Delicious! My son had the filet mignon special which had bacon(YEH) Gorgonzola cheese and a glaze with asparagus and garlic mashed. It also came with a salad. My Uncle had the lobster with a crab cake stuffed tail. Desert was Chocolate mouse and Red Velvet cake,. Waitress was happy and happy works for us. Creek was frozen over. What a beautiful location! Can’t wait till spring and the outdoor Oyster bar !!!
