Everything was great!!! We had samosas, tandoori salmon and chicken tikka masala. The owner was incredibly nice, when every tables were all full. He got us seated as soon as possible.

Pretty sure this place is closed or nearly so. Drove out to Lee several times only to find it closed at 7:30.

I’ve been there before and had mixed experiences… Some very good and some very bad!!! Unfortunately tonight was not a good one !!! They were too busy and did a few mistakes… 1) I asked to be served at the restaurant — at the bar — but they packed my order as to go… 2) I asked for 2 appetizers but they served and charged me for 1 appetizer and 1 entrée! Way too much good!!! 3) the food was under cooked… Not so great!!! Very disappointed!!! I understand they are busy but they have to be more careful… They almost break dishes and plate while putting the to go order on the counter and employees were very stressed and not so nice with their pairs, their boss and even customers… Not so great… This time!!!

Good food and a moderate price. The vindaloo was was a tad on the sweet side but still really tasty. The mango lassi was one of the better ones we have had. This place separates itself from other Indian restaurants in western mass by having a nice lake view.

Good authentic indian food that is reasonably priced. Service is ok and it is a dive. We will return here and will recommend this to our family and friends.

Outstanding Indian food in the Berkshires. We go several times each summer. Bagari shrimp is not to be missed.

Service was TERRIBLE. We were a party of four. Two of us were served first so we waited a while but our friend’s entrees took forever. By the time the other dishes arrived, we were almost done eating. I ordered salmon tandorri and it was tasteless and dry. There was only one person able to run our credit card so we had to wait a very long time. Very disapointing dining experience.

Great experience with my two hot dates. They both enjoyed their meals and so did I. Service was excellent and there’s a great view of the lake. Food was also very tasty.

Great Indian cuisine with beautiful location(looks out over a lake). My favorite is the chicken tikka masala, but the vindaloo is amazing as well. The service is always great too.

Food is great however with Indian food you need to have a strong stomach. In my case, I am not so lucky if you know what I meant. We order their chicken tandorri classic dish. Oh boy. It look great however its dry and tasteless. For $ 16, KFC is better. Other dishes are OK. The naan however are delicious. How bad can it get to add honey and ginger to a fresh naan. You have to be an idiot to mess that up. Over all the food was good. Disappointed that we didnt get to seat by the window. Well was going to say I would go back again but I doubt it. Bring your strong stomach.

This is one of my favorite«suburban» Indian restaurants. Don’t expect high end London style formal dining. But, if you want really good food, prepared well and for a reasonable price, then Bombay is it. I have been to this restaurant about a dozen times. I have been in high season and the middle of winter.(I once came for the Christmas buffet.) I have never been disappointed. They really try to cater to you and will adjust things to your taste. I have always felt that they believe that the«customer is always right.» By the way, try the Cabbage Poriyal. I know, I know. Why would you ever order cabbage? The thought of it is not appealing. But, I had it once on the buffet and ordered it with dinner every time since. It is sweet with lentil and the taste of coconut. It is so yummy.

This was in the hotel I was staying in and was unexpectingly good. Very busy and small staff but they never let you feel ignored.

I’m pretty bummed that this place didn’t work out. I keep thinking it was something I did — did I order the wrong thing?! But no way — I stuck to the standard fare of a vegetarian at an Indian restaurant and ordered the vegetable pakora and the paneer masala. The pakora were basically onion rings. I didn’t taste any other vegetables. My entrée was a strange cross between Thai and Indian… and it just didn’t work. The masala was thick and overly sweet with strips of red pepper(weird?). The paneer was bland, although texture wasn’t bad(sometimes it’s kinda squeaky, ya know?). Very nice service, and I enjoyed my view of a bunny lounging by the lake. Food needs some improvement.

Best Indian food in the BerkShires. Make sure to come for Sunday buffet. They also have a buffet on Saturday, but that one is much smaller(even though it’s $ 2 – 3 less in price).

Bombay Bar & Grill 8÷27÷2013 I drove by this place right at lunch time and based on TripAdvisor reviews turned around and decided to try it. Not really much to look at as they are part of an INN. I walked in, looked around and what struck me that there was no greeter. I just kind of stood there. A worker walked by and I asked; «do I just sit anywhere?» to which he replied yes and kept walking. Thus far have not been approached by anyone regarding a menu or even welcoming me into the restaurant. Maybe lunch time is not noon in these parts? I don’t know… At about 12:10 an announcement was made that the Buffet was ready so I suppose you just go up. Water was brought and other than being asked if I wanted a soda, there was no check in to see if the meal was to my satisfaction. The meal… The peas were under cooked, I didn’t care for whatever the coconut chick pea thing was and the Chicken Tiki was over cooked. I’m a big fan of indian food but unfortunately this«Bomb-bay» was just that… Although I was looking forward to the usual fried balls in honey desert I have grown accustomed to from all the other Indian restaurants I have been to there was no such offering here nor was there any other desert that I could see. Coffee after a meal? Not here… I asked for the check and not so much as a thank you for coming here. Needless to say I won’t be back…

Bombay is probably the most memorable Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Not really because of the food — it was good, but not unusually so — but because of everything else. First, there’s the location, a rundown-looking spot tacked onto a cheap chain motel with an expensive-looking lake view. I noticed it by chance as I was speeding along the highway on my usual route and had to stop. It was dark but surprisingly crowded inside, and we had to wait a few minutes for a table, during which the cute son of the owners took a break from his coloring book to talk to us about snowboarding. A man I guess was the owner seated us and handed us the thick menus, which were pretty different from anything we’ve seen at the countless suburban Indian places we’ve eaten at. There was a section for Calcutta Jewish specialties and an impressive list of desserts. We ordered liberally. I’m a sweet tooth, so my favorites were definitely the warm, comforting carrot pudding and the fragrant pistachio ice cream. If you ever find yourself wandering through the Berkshires, stop by Bombay. It’s one of the few restaurants I can call a one-of-a-kind experience.

I thought it was great. We went on a Monday and I noticed while at the restaurant that according to Unilocal,Bombay was closed at that time. Nope! Very much open on Mondays. We all had the buffet which was one of the better Indian buffets I’ve ever been to. A nice selection, warm and delicious food, and fresh naan delivered to the table. My only complaint is that it is on the pricy side. I only ate one plate of food and didn’t feel like the buffet price was worth it, but I supposed I could have stuffed myself and made it «worth it» like some others did. ;) Scenic lake view out the back window, too. I wish there was outdoor seating for the summer but I heard that outside area doesn’t belong to the restaurant? I would go back if I was in the area, but make sure I was hungrier(/make sure I’m not planning on eating a big dinner if doing the lunch buffet)!

Still the best Indian food I’ve had anywhere. Period. The fact that they have such quality food at a buffet simply astounds me. Every time I’m home in the Berkshires, I have to make a Sunday trip to Bombay. The service may be hit or miss, but I honestly couldn’t care less, what with all the incredible fare that is being churned out from the kitchen. The sheer variety of dishes available on the Sunday buffet is enough to make most places blush, and the fact that all of them are delicious means you’ll have trouble deciding what to make space for on your plate. If you’re anything like me, that is a wonderful problem to be faced with.

Stopped for dinner on the way back from Albany tonight. Didn’t look like much from the exterior –being attached to a chain hotel –but it was very nice inside. Some of the prior reviews didn’t make me optimistic about the courtesy and service of the staff, but happily we found that the service had no deficiencies at all. We were greeted with smiles, treated well for the whole meal, had our water glasses filled multiple times, etc. Here’s what we ordered — a strawberry Lassi, an ice tea(served in a comically large glass) an appetizer of Calamari Cochin, an order of Chicken Aam Wala, an order of Jhinga Mast Mast, and a nuts and raisin naan. The food was terrific. The calamari was tender and delicious– no trace of the rubberiness you run into so often. Delicately spiced, it was served with shredded lettuce, onions and peppers. The chicken($ 16) was served in a mango cream sauce that was amazing, a very nice dish. The Jhing was 6 Tandoori style shrimp prepared with ginger, cilantro, chilic, and ajwain(a spice similar to thyme). It was $ 22(a bit pricey), but I was a little dissapointed in the spice level — it had 3 hot peppers on the menu, and the waiter said to me «you know it’s very spicy?». But I didnt feel the heat at all. I’ve decided I’m not a big fan of Tandoori –I’d much rather get something with a sauce I can put on the rice, and eat with the naan, you just can’t so that with tandoori style food. Speaking of naan, the bread was great– stuffed with a sweet mixture of nuts and raisins. All in all, this was a very nice meal– great service, a pretty view of the river, pleasant dining room, and very good food.
