Tioga Pass Resort is uniquely situated within two miles of the Eastern exit from Yosemite. My wife and I like to have dinner there after hiking. Last time we’ve been there in August 2013 and it was just as great as a year ago. The menu is limited, but everything tastes very good, especially I would recommend the beef stew paired with Merlot. Hard to say if the cook was great or it was the effect of altitude or perhaps the authentic decorations of the log cabin… anyway this place makes me happy and that’s what matters. Highly recommend!!!

The food here is wonderful! Especially when you have been cooking your own meals at the campground. We had breakfast and dinner here. We tried the pot roast and meatloaf which all come with a salad or soup, mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies in a white wine and garlic sauce. The kids got the hot dog and cheeseburger which come with cole slaw or potato salad. After your meal you must get a slice of homemade pie! We tried the apple crumb, chocolate cream, banana cream, coconut cream, brownies and huge chocolate chip cookies!!! Amazing!!! This is a must stop on your way on Tioga.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I arrived around 11am. They stop serving breakfast at 11:30am. Once the woman working saw us take our seats, ready to order, she walked into the kitchen and disappeared until 11:32am. She then wouldn’t allow us to order breakfast when she finally came to our table. She purposefully avoided us for 20 minutes, until after they stopped serving breakfast, so we couldn’t order it. I left the restaurant without ordering, very unhappy, as there aren’t many other options for food in the area. Oh, and it’s my birthday. Don’t eat here, guys, it’s not worth it.

Stopped here for a late lunch/dinner. I got a sandwich that was a roll piled with thick slices of meat. Not really my thing and it lacked some flavor, but I will say the meat was very moist. I’m just not into thick cut meat. But I did have a slice of fresh boysenberry pie with vanilla ice cream. It was right out of the over and by far the best pie I’ve ever had. The pie gets a 5 and the sammy a 3 – 4 hence the 4 rating. The guy working the café is top notch and very attentive to the customers. I’ll be back and try something else and some more pie.

A gem of the Sierras. This quaint little café is on our«restaurant corridor» form Mariposa to Mammoth Lakes. Reasonable prices, great food and super pie. We had delicious tortilla soup and sandwiches with fresh ingredients. The berry cobbler was a super finish to a wonderful meal. Go in the summer. They close in the middle of October for the winter. They now can take credit cards because they have a square. But cash is the way to go. No wifi. No music. If you need to be entertained while you eat better head back to LA. But the foods’s so good you don’t need to be distracted to be able to eat it. And the friendly staff are the icing on the cake.

Unbelievably beautiful location and fantastic food! Had the burger which was great. The real winner is the selection of homemade pie that’s available! Well worth it! My 7 year old had the hot dog and LOVED it. It’s very small so if your timing isn’t great there may be a bit of a wait.

Very friendly and prompt service can be found at this small, but cozy, high country café. Had the hot dog, which was very filling, but unfortunately not that tasty. The hot dog roll was too large, and as a result, you feel like you’re mostly eating bread. Plus, be aware that they won’t give you a receipt if you pay by credit card as they use one of those Square credit card payment system that will only send you an email as a receipt. I wonder what happens to customers who charge and don’t happen to have an email account?
