I am not going to lie. Minskys pizza is good, but the customer service sucks! I ordered 3 pizzas 2.5 hours before they closed to be deliver to our house and one of the pizzas was wrong. We called to correct the order since one of our guests are allergic to bell pepper and they tried to argue with us that«we» were wrong. On top of that they told me «fu$k@ off». I have never been so disappointed in a customer oriented business. I will never order pizza from here again!!!

Pizza and more! Minsky’s has figured it out, some folks would like a more«civilized /grown up» pizza place(full bar, separated from the loud children) along side of the traditional«family» atmosphere you find in the«hut.» It is easy to walk right past the high chairs and video games and go into a separate«room» with a bar, TV’s, and relative calm. OK, rant off. «Minsky’s» has very good pizza. Yes, I have found pizza that I liked a little better, but Minsky’s is about as good as you are going to find. Their sauce is tangy and flavorful, ingredients are fresh, meats are full of flavor. Crusts are consistently good. While I am partial to their«Prime Cut»(all meat), you can still customize your pizza with stuff I had never even heard of on a pizza(almonds?). Pizza not your thing? Their calzone’s are well worth trip. So are their appetizers and salads. The bar is well stocked(a bit pricy for a pizza place), and service is more than acceptable. In fact, the second time we went in the bar tender remembered what we had ordered — the fourth time he brought our drinks as we sat down! That is what I call personalized service! I like that they offer an alternative to the confusion of family pizza dining, without losing the relaxed atmosphere of a neighborhood pizza restaurant. They also remind you of the days(before Pizza Hut) when pizza«joints» were really Italian restaurants. Return? Yep, we are regulars!

I still think minskys is the best pizza around. I always get the papa minsky, it’s the best or the prime cut if I want to mix it up. The service at this location isn’t the best. I walked in and said«I will take the special written on the chalk board up front». They said oh we forgot to erase that, and wouldn’t honor the special. I’m pretty sure any other business would honor what they were advertising, but that’s how you have the best pizza and still get an average review.

Friday special: Large Papa Minsky’s $ 15.99 Not bad however not a fan of the original crust as I found it tasteless. Ledge at the side of the booth has a good layer of dust. Busy popular place, waitress not very friendly or attentive though.

Literally the only customers at 8:30 pm on a Tuesday night, yet the 2 employees sitting at the bar could not be bothered to do anything more than take our order and take our money. I never leave less than 20% tip but geeze this place has really gone to crap! Not to mention the humongous creepy portraits of strange children covering the entire dining room wall… weird!

Poor service, lack of attention to detail. Worked at a hospital close to this location, would call in the order, each time, something was wrong; items missing, cold food, etc. Called to discuss the issue, never compensated. If you prefer good service, and staff that pays attention to detail, run from this place.

favorite pizza in KC area and has been for 20+ years. Many locations, Lee’s summit the best(maybe river market better) This is GOURMET pizza. not cardboard with sauce and frozen stuff thrown on. Best regular sauce, cheese and ingredients used. Great wings. Lee’s summit location has the best bar, bar specials, and bartenders around. Huge fan obviously. Try the wings, primecut, jumbo combo or papa minsky’s. Watch the nightly specials. especially Saturday/sunday. Great sandwiches too.

Another fantastic dinner at Minskys. Thin crust(made fresh today) Prime Cut pizza. The best part of the Prime Cut… one whole piece of bacon on each slice! Tech N9need talks about cheddar on his Minskys, but I am a fan of the generous portions of mozzarella cheese. By far the best pizza in Kansas City.

Pizza is good, got order fast(had two groups in, had to sit in the bar area). Liquor prices way too high. $ 7.50 for a Crown and Coke(no, it was not a double).

On our way back from our son’s soccer game we ordered a Prime Cut Pizza and Garlic Cheese Bread — When we got to Minsky’s they had just boxed them up. When we got home both were fantastic. I highly recommend it. It is now my favorite pizza place.

I have liked Minsky’s pizza for a long time, but I am so tired of this place and its inconsistency. I have renamed it «Skimpy’s» since that seems to be how they are saving a buck on providing as little toppings and cheese as possible. My latest experience involved using the $ 10 for any pizza coupon I received in the mail. To my surprise, this $ 10 coupon was good for multiple pizzas, so I ordered 3 and had a party. The toppings were scarce and two of my favorite comments from the night were: 1. «Is there any sauce on your slice of pizza?» 2. «I guess it is **Gourmet, and going to stay that way** since the toppings are so small.» My favorite part was the total bill was around $ 62 before the couple was applied. 3 pizzas for $ 62? Shoot, I guess it is «gourmet».(and a rip off!!!)

Pizza was good but the service was terrible. We waited a very long time for the pizza. Asked for ranch dressing on the side and it took 10 minutes. Had to ask to pay, never got our to go drinks. We will not be back to this location. A lot of employees standing around doing nothing.

I live in NJ and I STILL crave Minsky’s. Whenever I’m in Lee’s Summit I have to go and get a pizza with alfredo sauce, almonds and monterey jack cheese. I haven’t found a single place in NJ that let’s you pick your cheese and has almonds available. I highly recommend coming here!

Annoyed. We get pizza here at least 3 times each month. It’s USUALLY dine in and usually at Minsky’s in Lee’s Summit(that is no longer on Rice Rd, BTW). But we have used delivery and take-out in the past so they have our phone # and address. We get«we miss you» discount coupons in the mail often but we do not use them because it looks like a small family biz and we don’t want to take advantage when we were going there anyway. Today we did that rare take-out. $ 16.03 for a two topping pizza. Had we been our usual dine in, it would have been $ 10. Seems like an awfully steep price chasm for regular customers.(Our waiters always reap the financial benefit of any deal we get. We like deals but we’re not cheapskates!) I’ll probably start using those coupons. Or maybe that Chiefs/Raiders flag-fest has just left me grouchy.

Minsky’s has consistently good pizza. My fave is the cheeseburger pizza. It’s truly amazing. Alot of toppings and high quality ingredients. It is locally owned as well which is a big plus for me. Kind of pricey without a coupon… they haven’t jumped on the $ 10 pizza bandwagon. Ordered a medium cheeseburger last week and it was $ 21 with tax and delivery. The quality is worth the price, however. Also, it is one of the only places in Lee’s Summit you can get dinner after 10pm on a Sunday.

I love Minsky’s Pizza. I love the stuffed cheese crust bathed in garlic crust offered at this location. However, I only gave it one star because of the service. Their service SUCKS. I have went to this location several times to test whether it was the individual or if it was for lack of helpful waitstaff period. Unfortunately, my experience at this location has deemed the latter. One time I had to call the front from my cell phone after we sat at our table for 20 minutes and no one offered to get us drinks or take our order to get someone’s attention to get the manager. The last time I was there… two weekends ago maybe, they brought out a burnt pizza and served it like it was okay. I told the girl it was burnt, she said thats its supposed to be. I informed her that no, cheese isnt supposed to be burnt and left without paying or eating the pizza vowing never to return to this location.

It was good. The pizza was good, the beer was good, the service was okay. Not a knock your socks off pizza but very solid. The service from our waitress is my only complaint. My family stopped in just after completing a 5k in lees summit at 10:00 pm. There was only one other family in there at another table, other then that… empty. so it’s not like our waitress was being stretched thin, so why are you giving me attitude? Seriously, I know its getting close to closing and you want to go home, but I’m here to give you money. The more you fake nice to me the better the tip. But she didn’t, and pissed off the misses, and once that happens you can say bye bye to tip, and she did. So yes I would go here again and hope that I get a different waitress, cuzz the food was good. Top-level the boneless wings were outstanding.
