The white queso is very good. I got a combo with a chicken enchilada & chille relleno. I didn’t care for the red sauce on the chille relleno, but the enchilada was good.

Will never understand why Habaneros down the street, the home of gringo fried crap, is always packed every night and this place usually isn’t. Better food, better atmosphere and the people who work there are totally friendly! Love the food. Reminds me of a cozy little place i’d find back home in Milwaukee’s little mexico.

Really like this place. Food is good and they are fast fast fast. Service is anyways good and they are quite friendly. Probably been there a few dozen times as it’s close to work. And the carnitas are great. Carnitas is not easy to get right and so it’s a good barometer of quality. Having lived in LA this is probably one of the better places I’ve been since leaving there. I give it five stars for the speed and attentive service and the food is as good as I’ve found in a long time.

Chicken Chory was outstanding. The chorizo flavor was perfect with the dish. My wide had the shrimp quest and she really liked it. The salsa has good flavor as well. Love the family environment.

Absolutely loved coming here, Luis or Luiz made us laugh immediately after walking in and we had great service. The quality of the food here is superior to any other Mexican restaurant in Lee’s Summit without a doubt. The salsa was perfect, margaritas were by far, some of the best I’ve ever had a restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and consistently made sure we had everything we need. Definitely worth going to, looks like a hole in the wall, but the absolute best burritos!

Updating my review from a 4 to 5 star. The food is always on point and the service is excellent. Love their bean burritos, chicken Chory, guacamole and shrimp salad. We will be back!

I was so excited to try a Mexican restaurant in Lee’s Summit with such positive reviews! My husband and I ate here tonight and won’t be back. We enjoyed the chips, salsa and house margarita but it ended there. We ordered the white cheese dip and found it to have an odd taste. I ordered ground beef nachos and really disliked the greasy, seasoned beef. My husband had a ground beef chimichanga and the same greasy ground beef was in the chimichanga. Maybe we’d like something without the ground beef but we weren’t impressed enough to give it another chance.

This place is worth a stop for sure! It was one of two Mexican restaurants and a BBQ joint close to my hotel, and the other two places seemed packed, so I drove a little further down the road. Glad I did. Nice place inside, great food, and a wonderful staff(staff was seriously awesome. laid back and cheerful but totally on top of things.). I had a smothered carnitas burrito that was great! The only thing that bummed me out was there were no drink specials that night.

Unassuming hole in the wall façade hides a real gem. ¡Authentico! The owner is a hoot, too, he offered suggestions to the Guy when he didn’t know what he wanted, and generally made us feel very welcome. My carnitas were perfect, tender & delicious. They had the Royals game on the teevee over the bar, too, but on the Spanish-language broadcast. I took it as a favorable sign :-) This place reminds me of a million strip-mall Mexican joints that I used to frequent in Los Angeles, and have missed terribly. We’ll be back!

I have no idea why when I go to restaurants, it’s a normality for me to be seated and handed a menu, brought water and often chips and salsa, and no silverware or napkin. I don’t have this written across my forehead :“I don’t need silverware.” I happens so much I write about it on Unilocal, every time. I’ve had 3 check ins in Fiesta Azteca, then, the last, yesterday. We were seated, given the menu, water, chips, salsa, and ordered. There were other people at the tables and I had problems getting the waiter’s attention about the need for napkins and silverware. Our food was brought to us. It was kind of good. I generally like tamales, and these only fine, not great, and over priced. We were finally brought napkins et al. We ate, and decided to order $ 3.50 margaritas. The margaritas were in glasses about 2 shot glasses tall. Not great. I’ve had margaritas at Fiesta before but they weren’t this small. If I had wanted a sample, I would’ve hit up the Bailey’s girl at Hy-vee. We waited forever for our check. They weren’t THAT busy. We got out our cash, waited some more, and finally were able to leave with them knowing we paid. I am never in the area, and won’t be back when I am.

my fiancé and i come here a lot. food is ok. its not the best mexican i have ever had but its by far not the worst. the reason for my 2 star review is due to our experience last night. we ordered a large pitcher of margarrita($ 21.95). i didnt realize it until we were about ¾ of the way through it that we were not feeling very buzzed. we usually come on taco tuesdays and two or three margarritas is usually enough to have me feeling pretty good. i had 5 out of the pitcher and felt nothing at all. i dont know if it was a mistake on their part to not put any tequilla in it or if they were trying to get one over on us. either way we will not be coming back.

I love this place. They have a back party room where I take all my out of town guests. We can be as loud as we want as it’s away from everyone else. Also, the owner is really good about suggesting food for people who have never tried Mexican food before. Or do not know what to order. I always call in and special order my food. The cooks always get it right. Fiesta Azteca is one of the few places where if you request it, they will make your food REAL Mexican, not the American version you get served everywhere else.

We went there because the margaritas are good and I also like their refried beans, but service was not as expected.

First off, the two stars isn’t for their food. I have to compliment their service, but I did not go there for their service. The food had no seasoning whatsoever. Salsa taste like prego spaghetti sauce. Quality does not measure up to the price… be smart save your penny. This is not Mexican food. This is MO version of Mexican food. Taco bell is more authentic than this place.

Hands down the best carnitas I’ve ever had. Better than street carnitas in Mexico. Well cooked, fresh cilantro, good spice. Amazing. Found our new spot for Mexican in kc. Looking forward to the rest of the menu.

Dining with wife and child on father’s day, this place started off on the right foot. The greeter who turned out to be our server made my daughter and its feel immediately welcome. I ordered the taco salad because I like a bowl I can eat. Wife ordered fish tacos. This being a Mexican restaurant, if course my daughter ordered a corn dog. The white queso dip was really good. The chips are light and airy. The server with a great sense of humor brought the corn dog out early. I like when they care enough to get the kid food out quickly. Putting food in front of my child triggers the potty mechanism so we visited the restrooms which were very clean and well stocked. Taco salad is very good as were the fish tacos. I think I’ve found my Lee’s Summit mexican place. They gave us candy with the bill!
