Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Love Enterprise — staff always super friendly and helpful and the cars are great as well. We had a slight discrepancy on our bill and they took care of it right away — this is really the only rental car company we use!

The Customer is always right. This is taken seriously by the staff at this branch. I have been renting her for 4 years perhaps 6x a year. Alway clear in their explanations, encouraging upgrades but knowing when to back-​off. Friendly and professional.

My fiancé and I rented a vehicle last week from enterprise at this location for the first time. Normally when we travel we use Avis at the airport but figured we would give enterprise a shot as it was only car rental spot in the area. Had the assumption that the cars at enterprise were not as nice but seems like we were wrong. Two young ladies helped us when we rented the car and were both very nice. Normally with Avis we have to wait a little longer to get in the car and on the road. When returning the vehicle gentleman Chris checked to make sure everything was good and went over charges with us which I thought was thoughtful. Not always in the area but next time will use this location if we need a car.

This branch is completely mis managed and they have a gaggle of ass clowns working here. Do yourself a favor and rent from Avis or if you must rent from Enterprise go to the Budd Lake branch.

So, things are so bad at this Enterprise location in Ledgewood that I can’t even get them to send me a pdf of my receipt. I was charged $ 13.00 extra for a 50 cent toll charge because I did not have my ez pass with me. If they called me about the charge I could have called EZ pass and paid the 50 cents on my account. This happens many times and if you have an account you can pay without penalty. They did not tell me until after they billed me the extra $ 13.00 dollars. I did not complain about that. All I need is a receipt for the 13.00 and they will not send it to me. I cannot submit the letter they sent to me as a receipt. By the way the 13 dollars is not an EZ pass charge but an Enterprise «processing fee». I need a receipt. That is all. Ignored… Again! What a joke.

Something has happened to this location. Have used this one in the past many times and it used to be great. Used to be great service, friendly and accommodating. No more! Attitude as if they could care less about having your business. Misquoted on a vehicle. Looked at as if we were crazy. Will NEVER be back!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! The manager is a piece of work… I was in an accident a few weeks ago and let them know we were waiting on a reservation number from the insurance company. My debit card I used was charged at first for the deposit and a certain amount of days. I received a call a week later from Enterprise requesting the car back because they were going to sell it. So I had to return the car for another one. When we exchanged cars I asked to make sure my debit card wouldn’t be charged anymore and they assured me they’d wait for the reservation number. Within 2 days after my debit card was charged and NO ONE told me! In total Enterprise charged my card $ 875. It hasn’t even been two weeks. Not to mention how they snuck the insurance charge for $ 20 per day. I was charged 3 days for it but luckily caught it in time before they charged me anymore. When you charge someone’s debit card you let them know and this place completely disregarded contacting me, unprofessional. The manager assures that her staff is highly trained, well I think she needs to go back to get some training. I give this place 0 stars! That’s how bad it was… DO NOT GO HERE!!!

What a joke.
1. The insurance on the cars here are more than the rentals themselves. The insurance i paid for on the site didn’t include liability, when i was told in store, the price they offered was incredibly high.
2. This is the first car i’ve ever rented that had a milage cap, the unlimited miles only covers the tri-​state area. If i wanted to stay in the tri state area i wouldnt have rented a car.
Overall: I’ll be avoiding this location and enterprise in the greater NJ area. My quote was for around $ 250 for 5 days, and ended up costing me $ 400.

Great people, very accommodating, I used them twice, once for a car in Cali, that was great. I was able to switch out a car a few times when we needed one for a month. They really worked for me, I had no problems.

I used to live in NJ and have been renting from this location (and the one in Mt. Olive) for 10 years. Yesterday I went to pick up a rental and was turned away because I had an out of state drivers license (they do accept NY and PA as if they were in-​state I believe). I was not able to charge the rental to my Visa debit card because I had an out of state license. I had always used my Visa debit card for previous rentals, and this policy had not been explained to me over the phone when I made the reservation.
If you are from out of town, you are much better off renting from Newark airport. As it was explained to me, you can use a debit card and out of state license at the Airport Location (however, you CANNOT use a debit card and local license — so go home and try to figure that one out) Also, the Ledgewood location would charge $ 150 minimum for drop of at Newark.
So basically, this location is for locals who are having their car worked on as part of an insurance claim.
I just can’t believe that after 10 years of being a customer, with my profile in their computer systems, and having returned rental after rental in the past, that they would treat me as a walk-​in and turn me away on a technicality.

I had to rent a car from here for about a week and a half when i got into an accident. This place has its ups and downs.
On the up side:
They people are really friendly and accomidatiing. They are willing to work with you on a prices. They have me a little off my rental since i had to get a larger vechiale since they were out of smaller ones. They were willing to switch out my vehicale mid-​rental should i want a different one.
On the down side:
The place is a little small. I dont rent cars to much but i ended up taking a truck since it was the only option. normall would have cost me 20 a day after insurance but they gave me a $ 10 discount since i was looking for a car. If they had more car options at the rate at which insurance companies pay, i would have given this place another star.
