It’s pricy for the amount of food. I ordered the wet burrito with carnitas, onion and sour cream. It was ok. Just a turd maker. Probably won’t stop here again unless they are the only place open. My burrito cost me $ 17. And two tacos cost us $ 14, Merlot cost $ 7. Guacamole cost $ 10. Ouch Must be «FRUGAL »

On our drive up to San Jose we did a quick search on our nav system to make a quick pit stop for dinner. Once we got off the freeway seen our original pick we decided to eat here. When we walked in the restaurant had an open atmosphere, clean and welcoming feel. We were seated right away. With in 5 minutes our drink order was taken and we ordered our food. Drinks came to us with in minutes. With in 15 minutes we had our food nice and hot. The food was taste. This review is for the service and a decent meal with a reasonable price point.

Mmmm. Super fresh, and flavorful. Yummy roasted salsa. I asked for a second, more spicy version. Wow! It’s rare when something is too spicy for me, this definitely was! Couldn’t stop eating it though. It was so delicious. :-) I wouldn’t call it an alternative to fast food though. Food is made to order, and price is about 3X. If you’re not in the mood for fast food/cafeteria/diner food, I would highly recommend!

This was a bad decision. The food was fine, no complaints there. However, the margaritas were completely unpalatable, and the service was god-awful. We spent the whole meal thinking«Well, at least it’s not McDonald’s.» That’s not really a level of praise that restaurants should aim for. Or at least, I HOPE not. Next time we’re in this area, we’ll ignore the hunger pangs and keep driving to some better place to eat. Pass.

We usually drive through Lebec to fuel up and hit the road again. This time, we took the time to grab some food. Each restaurant that was located near the gas stations were busy. So we decided to drive a tiny bit further down the street. Maurico’s Grill & Cantina was our pit stop for food. What a surprise. It was a hot hot day out and the AC was cranked up and working really good. YAY! The food was okay. The guacamole was the clear winner in my book. The server makes it from scratch right at your table. She made it look so easy… it never seems that way when I try to make homemade guac at home. The staff was friendly. The pricing was reasonable and there was a $ 5 off coupon for your Unilocal Check In. EVENBETTER! I wanted to try their margarita’s, however opted to have water with lemons. I had the chile relleno and it was tasty. There was plenty of parking outside. We dined in, however there is an outdoor seating area. We had a good view of the TVs. When I used the restroom they were surprisingly clean. Thumbs up for that Not so bad for having to drive a few extra feet to avoid the standard restaurants in the area.

Stopped by here yesterday for lunch while driving from Fresno to LA. At this exit off the 99 freeway there are mostly just fast food restaurants around. I wanted something with more quality and this place did not disappoint. The food is a bit pricey but the quality of the food was great. My server offered me freshly made guacamole, that he mixed up right at the table. I also got chips and freshly made salsa for free. I’m a vegetarian/pescatarian and my server recommended the fish dish, the Pescado ala Parrilla. It was grilled with sides of cooked vegetables, Spanish rice and hot tortillas. Everything was so fresh and of large portion. I couldn’t finish it all. I would love to come back again, hopefully with someone to share with.
