I went to this place for my annual work Christmas party, and the service is amazing. The food was beyond great. I will definitely be going back. The owner is the sweetest ever came out to check on us twice and even came to say bye when we left. Five star service Five star Food five star place

Came here with my in-laws who are loyal patrons. The food was excellent! The chef clearly has a great pallet and has developed a well rounded menu. My dish had a great combination of flavors. The onion soup was by far the best I’ve ever had. If you get the chance, get the soup. Desserts were sooooo good.

My husband and I are not exactly foodies, but we come from«food world» In Portland Oregon. We loved our dinner. We had an excellent martini to start. Bread was served with cheese and a good olive oil. The salads were the best I have had on the east coast. Greens were fresh,‘the roasted red peppers were indeed homemade and not from a jar. The special for the evening was wall eye fish with Swiss chard was wonderful. The fish was oven baked, not overcooked and served with a shitaki mushroom sauce. Dessert was chocolate Torte… Now this was something to be shared! Delicious but a lot of desert. Our wait person was Monica. Monica was not only attentive, she was very good at making sure we understood the specials and helped us pick the best dish for our tastes! Loved this experience!

of all Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to in my entire life this was the best with the homemade lasagna… the sauce was perfect… everything was absolutely perfect and then they had a white wine sangria that was also one of the best I ever had and I consider myself somewhat of a sangria expert

A diamond in the rough in Lebanon. Lovely terrace and herb garden complemented by nice Italian dishes, fresh pastas and tasty Neapolitan style pies. Check out the inmense maple in the back yard. Service superb, but maybe a tad over priced.

The menu is fresh and imaginative Italian fare. The food comes from a scratch-kitchen and is flavored with herbs from the outside garden. I have eaten at «Trat Frat» dozens of times and I am happy make the one-hour trip to dine there. They take no reservations, so I recommend a visit during mid-week to allow you to be seated with greater haste. On weekends, the out-of-towners flock in. To avoid the«flockers“arriving early(5:30-ish) is advisable. If you find yourself needing to wait, the bar is well-stocked and the wine list is pretty good. The bar is small, so you may need to grab a stool and have your table-mates stand and gather. I personally, think it is the price you pay to eat at a gem of a restaurant. The fact that I am willing wait it out in the little town of Lebanon says a lot about the place! Oh, the waitstaff is knowledgeable and down to earth. The whole experience is a treat!

4 star restaurant for Lebanon, but 2 star restaurant when it comes to service and overall experience. I brought my parents here for a Fathers Day dinner along with my teenage son. We were seated promptly but at a tiny little table right up against the bar. Had to constantly move around glasses and plates just to make room from bread and drinks and I had someone’s butt about 10″ from my face all night. The waitress, while friendly, seemed better suited to a diner. While my son ran out to the car to grab something, she decided to come take our order instead of waiting one more minute for him to return, which I thought was unprofessional. When it came around to his empty seat she asked if I knew what my «friend» wanted to eat. Weird. Bread was cold and dry, not very exciting. Sangria was excellent, salads fresh but boring. My mother liked her tagliatelle dish but my father was disappointed in his chicken/pasta dish. Very heavy on the pasta with only little bits of chicken throughout and burnt pine nuts. If it was me I would have sent it back. My son liked his pizza — which did look delicious, but my sweet corn ravioli were way too sweet for my taste — nice for a few bites — perhaps an appetizer — but I had a hard time eating the whole plate. The pizzelle dessert was absolutely monstrous — enough for the entire table — and very rich. The waitress let our dirty dessert plates sit on the table for at least 20 minutes before I had to flag her down for the check. All the dirty plates were still sitting there when we left — we had to put our after-dinner coffees alongside the dirty plates, which was a real turn-off. For the area it’s a real gem, but for the prices I would expect much more. I would give it another shot but would not order the same things.

Came into Lebanon for a photo shoot for my daughter. Unilocal never fails. We were craving for a good Italian meal after a long day. Cozy looking place from the outside. The hostess could have been a little friendlier. I can get pass that since we are hungry. Thank goodness! The food made up for it. Tagliatelle pasta was fresh and so tasty with a side of meatballs. My husband had the evening’s special — lasagna and by far, one of the best we’ve had and we are foodies. My daughter had the chicken pesto and that was good too but not as good as the lasagna and tagliatelle. Our waitress recommended a fudge dessert that was so delish, I can’t remember the name and therefore call it, chocolate ball of heaven. The crème brûlée was perfect. Not too sweet, caramelized sugar just perfectly.

Best restaurant in Lebanon! Great food with quality fresh ingredients, extensive wine list, and the pizza is brick oven delicious. All that and the service is superb. I am sad that I no longer work in the area, as I did frequent this place at least once a week. This is a must go to spot if ever in Lebanon, or surrounding area.

I’m going to keep this simple. I’ve eaten at some excellent restaurants in Manhattan and Philadelphia … Who would have thought Lebonon, PA. Had the four cheese pizza… creamy comes to mind. Fantastic. Salad came with dinner… it was a salad(freshly made… just was more like an intermezzo). My companion has a penne chicken w pine nuts which has a taste that would be hard to duplicate. Had a green sauce that was new to me. Was excellent too. Don’t hesitate to get it. I had a special of the night with pasta /sausage in almost like a lighter brown sauce /gravy. I wanted to get a loaf of their homemade onion bread and sop up every drop. If I have a regret it is that I didn’t get an entrée. The beef w horseradish looked extremely appetizing. Or the creamy soup. I not a big dessert person. But I saw this couple share this ½ dome chocolate looking thing so we got one to share. Holy cow… GETTHIS. I believe it was called a chocolate opera torte… yea, you will be singing praises. Listen. I don’t say this often. This place is a go to for sure. Service, presentation, the works. It’s not cheap necessarily. And if you are the type who wants over the top portions, it’s not that type of joint(note though, I can eat… and there was plenty of food). But this might be the top meal of my year. In a neighborhood where people might have a garage sale going on next door lies this gem. Hey Lebonon, count your blessings and hit this place before it moves on to bigger and better locations. This place will be in Philly or NYC soon.

Possibly one of the top restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. It’s that good. Been here twice, and had a very positive experience the second time around. Warm, cozy atmosphere with a brick oven fireplace near the front door. They change their dishes seasonally, so be sure to check their website prior to going. I had a gnocchi with an absolutely amazing sauce. I can’t quite pin it down, but it was like eating a piece of the holidays. I’ve raved for the past year about how good it was to anyone who would listen. Yeah, its pricey. Yeah, you’re going to spend money. But seriously, don’t go to an expensive, fancy restaurant if you’re going to complain about the prices. Enjoy the food!

Thanks to Unilocal,my partner and I found this little gem while traveling to Hershey. The service, wine selection and meal were all way above average and would have been at home in my(very competitive) home city. We had autumn themed pasta-butternut filled ravioli with braised Brussels sprouts and sage butter, pepitas and rigatoni with braised venison, carrots, parsnips and rutabaga. Flavors were deep and balanced and the servers gave good recommendations. The Crème Brûlée surpassed most offerings at our high end eateries. It was a rainy midweek and we got in immediately though I understand there are(understandable) waits on weekends. Entrees are 19– 29, salads and apps are 7 – 10. Wines 8 – 10 High quality, well prepared.

Great meal, great service. I live in Lancaster County and there are no decent Italian restaurants and the 45 minute drive to Lebanon was well worth it.

We have been here several times and every time the food and service have been fantastic. We took friends of ours there this past week and left extremely disappointed and apologizing to our friends for the experience. Everyone one of our 5 meals were beyond subpar. No flavor, cold, over-cooked…you name it there was something wrong with every dish. The service was, well just as bad as the food. We are very disappointed as this was one of our favorite restaurants, however I don’t think we will be going back.

Wonderful. I would give them 5 stars, but I’m from out of town and only got to come here once, and I don’t want to engage in «yelp inflation» without knowing if they can deliver consistently. That said, both food and service were amazing. I had the cheese pasta purses and the flavors and freshness of the ingredients were amazing. Beautiful presentation as well. Homemade gelato for desert was among the best I’ve had. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive(especially considering it was busy), but unobtrusive. Perfect balance. I’m here for work and have been trying a difference place every day, this is the only restaurant in Lebanon that has truly impressed me. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. I hope to return at least once more before going back home.

Absolutely a little gem of a place tucked in a residential area in Lebanon, PA. From the first moment you walk in, the ambiance and décor is that of a place you’d encounter somewhere in Italy. A family setting but with taste. I can’t say enough about the food. Been here couple times now and I have yet to be disappointed. They change up their menu with every season to keep it fresh. Also, each time I have been here they have plethora of daily specials. Excellent wine list as well! Service is very attentive and always pleasant. There has always been a line every time I have been here, since they do not accept reservation. But the wait is worth it! I think I’ll visit here tonight, made me miss it while writing this review!

It’s not very often when you happen upon a restaurant in an unfamiliar city, and are completely blown away. Perhaps Paris France, or New York City, but Lebanon? Lebanon PA that is… From the very moment we walked in, I was impressed. They make the best with what they have. Immediately upon entry, you are in a very small room and greeted by a hostess. There is a tapestry shower curtain, for lack of a better word, that shields the dining room from cold, additional conversation, etc. Nice. The décor in the main dining room is wonderful. Wood floors, perfect lighting, white draped tables, interesting solid wood shutters on the inside of the windows, exposed brick, all with a bustle and excitement while lacking chaos. «Tini» was our waitress. A restaurant, and its diners for that matter, could not ask for anyone better. I felt as though my mother was lovingly guiding me through our dining experience. She walked us through the menu since we had never been there. Explaining things to us as adults, not as if you were in a chain steakhouse with their«some pink means medium» condescension. Where many waiters recite the specials from a scratch pad, she took the time to explain the specials to us(from memory), and did so with an honest excitement. She made me WANT to order everything, and we almost did. We wanted to have a nice relaxing dinner, and explained that to Tini. She immediately knew exactly what we meant, and coordinated with the kitchen for a perfectly timed dinner. In addition to Tini, the balance of the staff is equally as impressive. Service is a true group effort here. From the bartender stepping in and opening a bottle of wine with a stubborn cork, to plates being cleared from our table by anyone who was walking by. In each instance, there was interaction with us at the table. Never did you feel this was in any way a chore for them. Why this isn’t more commonplace I will never understand. While I have been ranting about the restaurant itself, and the staff, I really can’t say enough about the food. We ended up ordering our entire meal from the list of specials. Starting out with a crab cake. We were promised it would be one of the best we would ever try. Promise delivered. I am amateur chef, and honestly have no idea how they kept that crabcake together. There was nearly zero filler. For entrees we had a mushroom tortellacci, and a black rockfish. The meatless totellacci was so rich, you would swear it was simmered in veal stock. The rockfish was perfectly cooked, topped with a tomatoe based sauce, and had matchstick diameter, oversalted to perfection, asparagus. Everything was a perfect complement to each other. We ordered some wine to go with dinner. Another great surprise. The«Nussbaumer» Gewürztraminer from Cantina Tramin. BOOM. It’s not all that often you see a Gewürztraminer on a wine list, and this place had two. Acidic enough to stand up with all of the items we ordered, including the dessert, with a nice hint of raw honey sweetness. Dessert. Unbelievable. Chocolate Opera Fudge Torte. Terrified throughout dinner watching other desserts run by our table simply by their size. I am talking Lemon Merangue Pie at a NY diner huge. Needless to say, desert was ordered, but to go. Luckily we ordered just enough wine, so that became a to go option as well. Can’t expect to eat Chocolate Opera Fudge Torte with a glass of water, can you? If you are anywhere in the Harrisburg/Hershey PA general vicinity, I urge you to go. Hell, if you are in Rome, I urge you to go. Rome, PA that is…

I grew up in Lebanon but moved to Philadelphia about 9 years ago. If I was rating this place based on all the places I’ve ever been, I’d give it 3 — 3.5 stars. However, this is a 5-star joint when you consider all the other options Lebanon has(or doesn’t). ‘Nuff said.
