Glad we found this place! I had the fish and chips, very delicious. Some of the best fish and chips I’ve had. They had hardly any grease on them(rare)! Cool environment, very laid back. Service was a little slow, but that’s okay. Check this place out and support local business!

Went here on a whim with my mom and we had a wonderful lunch. I enjoyed the bottomless mimosa and was happy to find that the champagne they used was tasty and they were quick on the refills. The food we had was very good. The shrimp and grits was spicy, but savory and I will be coming back again.

On our first visit to Sammy B’s, we were pleasantly surprised by the entire experience: creative menu selections, attentive friendly service, excellent food, fun environment, and high-quality live music. We started with the original freshly-made chips covered in a blue cheese sauce, salsa & bacon that was fantastic. Our entrees were grilled pork loins(pretty good) and bacon-wrapped grilled chicken stuff with cornbread(excellent). The wonderful side dishes included mild jalapeño cornbread, baked cinnamon apples, and a perfect loaded baked potato. I hope more locals turnout to enjoy this special restaurant.

Monday may not be the best day to go… service was okay, and good– sized portions, but drinks were served with lots of ice and overpriced, and the specialty«blazing saddles» did not impress– not sure what the gray matter stuffed inside the chicken thighs was, but it was not cornbread stuffing, although it was mushy… opposingly, the actual cornbread was dry and bitter-go figure… unfortunately, the skinny fries were best thing on the plate… the surrounding mill was kinda creepy and seems to have ALOT of potential., but no passion… maybe the same thing is true about the restaurant …

We love this place! Found an article in the local paper and put addy in the gps since we are new to town. Glad we did because we would have never even seen it. The smoke fried chicken was a revelation. What really surprised me were the sides. Coleslaw, beans, cornbread. Pretty standard, right? ANYTHINGBUT! Beans were perfect blend of sweet and tangy with a hit of pepper and coleslaw was creamy and crunchy with a bit of spice. Jalapeño cornbread was perfect. We had an amazing service experience. Velvet was helpful and attentive and went out of her way to make my five year old happy. When hubbys dish came out with green onions(our fault, we didn’t mention his allergies) it was quickly replaced, but not before he got his hands on my chicken! We will be back and I highly recommend.

I’ve eaten at Sammy B’s several times now, each time with a group of friends, and I’ve finally given up. The service is never good! Not once! The food is great, so it’s a bummer that the people who work there are so cranky. A couple of times, the server was flat out mean, but mostly they’re just mildly rude.

I visited this place once when it first opened. Just now joined and started using Unilocal.I ate with a group from my office. While eating my salad I found a bread tie(yes, the plastic with metal wire twisty thing). There I was, partly through chewing lettuce and I couldn’t quite figure out what this thing was I was chewing. Bread tie. So I know these things can happen, and I was trying to be lighthearted when I told the server. I quietly handed it to her and said the kitchen may want this back, they left it in my salad. I did not want to make a scene so I was discreet. The server did not say anything, no sorry, no offer for a replacement salad. she took the tie to what appeared to be a manager. the server pointed to me at the table, they went about their business. no one ever said anything! No apology. no offer to get me a new salad. I was quite annoyed. I called back once I returned to my office and spoke to someone claiming to be the owner, again I felt they didn’t care. I was told«sorry, thanks for bringing it to my attention and I’ll deal with it». Bahahaha at least they could have invited me to come back, maybe offer me a salad since I was charged for that bread tie salad. I haven’t been back and won’t be back.

Never been treated so poorly in my life!!! My girlfriend and I have been here many times to see our favorite bartender James(who is amazing) and were enjoying a nice evening until at exactly 10PM the lights came up full blast at the bar(with at least 10 other patrons and and around the bar area). Talk about being made to feel unwelcome! The manager who happens to be the owners son very arrogantly and rudely told us they had to close because they weren’t making $ 200 an hour(even though they advertise that they are open until 11PM on Saturdays. if you don’t believe me just check out their Facebook page). Really amazed at the amount of disrespect for customers. Even when a couple sitting next to us and told us about the young manager making a margarita for them and then they complained about being too MUCH tequila in it(James makes the best drinks around but it wasn’t his) The manager told them that it had been made correctly. What happened to the customer for being always right? Not at this place! We will be sad not to see our favorite bartender James but will not miss this place one bit at all. Lebanon Tennessee is comparatively a small town to Nashville but not that small to be as arrogant of a place this is. The owners need to fire their spoiled brat son and get a real manager and then maybe they will have some real business!

My favorite restaurant in Lebanon. We’ve been 5 times and I’ve tried something different each time. Everything I’ve had so far has been delicious! The chef’s add enough of a twist to make it different than other restaurants, and their twists always work well. I have yet to be disappointed! The flavor of everything has been wonderful. Be sure to check out their Sunday brunch, but bring your appetite!

I would also like to «love» this place! Very cool location and has the potential to be great but the food is only mediocre. My husband, myself, friends and family have been there numerous times and keeping hoping they will get it! If they would change their menu to include more fresh items I think that would help! Frozen fish and chips don’t cut it! The servers are friendly but not always as attentive as they should be. Have waited a long time for drinks etc. Please owners of Sammi B’s you have gold mine potential! Again, would like to «love» you! Step it up!

Great atmosphere and yummy food. I especially liked the UGA dip and the hamburger. The pizza is excellent as well. I will eat that any day of the week. Sharon, our waitress was very attentive. This is a fabulous venue for drinks, live music and private events. I have hosted several events there and the staff really took care of my needs. In addition I am a member of the Top Shelf and find the service there to be «Top Notch».

My husband and I so want to like this place. I’ve been there 4 times now. I will say that James one of the bartenders is awesome and all of the staff is friendly. Also they do have live music typically(some of it enjoyable) and their fried chicken is delicious… That is all of the positives. Husband has ordered ribeye twice both times they were terrible; good cut of meat that was not seasoned or prepared properly. Other than James the folks behind the bar are nice but don’t make a good drink. We were there a few weekends ago and had a high top table. They were having some sort of teeny bopper rave in the event space adjoining which was extremely loud and obnoxious… So much so that everyone seated in the bar(ourselves included) went out to the patio. There was then a solo singer/guitarist with questionable talent and a too loud amp… but we could hear one another. This same evening they had Hendricks Gin on the bar shelf which was a new addition. I asked for one with tonic. After first letting me know that was only for their dinner club guests & they would have to ask if they could sell me one roughly 5 minutes went by before our server came to let me know they were looking for the bottle. Another few minutes and it was a question of how I wanted my gin&tonic. A few minutes more and a quick reminder that they were making it. Finally after a total of about 12 minutes they brought the drink and the tonic was flat. Again, I really want to like this place but the only consistency is the sub-par quality.

Really good food, great service. Had a great time. All American burger was really good. Get a bucket of beer while you’re there.

I’ve had a couple of ho hum lunches here, a pretty amusing happy hour, and a small private event in the room off to the side. The chicken fingers are tasty, if racily named. The service is hit or miss, but generally all of the staff seem very nice, which dramatically ups my tolerance for questionable service.

I hate giving a restaurant a one star review without trying it more than once, however, I am also writing this review for a friend who has been there at least 4 times with only 1 positive experience. I went there with my friend on a Friday night to enjoy drinks and dinner on the patio. We started with chips and dip as an appetizer and the chips were stale. I opted to have a house salad in which the dressing came on the side in a plastic ramican — the small silver ramicans would have been a better touch. For dinner I had the fish and chips which came with a side. I opted for black beans and rice… I know not a great combination, but I wanted to try it. My plate come out with everything on one plate. Needless to say, my fries were swimming in black bean juice. I mentioned this to the waiter and he apologized, however, did not offer to get me new fries that were not soggy. The fish was ok, fries terrible and black beans and rice good. My friend had the pizza which was burnt on the bottom and smothered in cheese. She did not enjoy and only ate a slice. On previous visits, her husband had the steak which was over done and they sent it back. Only problem was that they never gave him a new steak and then tried to charge them for it. She has also had issues with them not discounting for happy hour. Her husband now refuses to go back and I think that is why she dragged me there on a Friday night. I may try one more time, but I am definitely not in a rush to hurry back.

My first visit will not be my last! It was a late minute decision for a group of 15 to have breakfast here on a late Sunday morning. The staff was very accomodating. The service was impeccable and the food delicious! I was very satisfied with the price I paid for Grits and Shrimp; especially since it included the Buffet. That was very unexpected because the Buffet itself was a meal. The buffet included fresh fruit, danish, muffins, cottage cheese, sliced tomatoes, texas fries with sausage, biscuits and gravy and others I can’t remember. The Grits and Shrimp is an automatic order for me no matter where I go if it is on the menu because no one prepares it the same. I was highly pleased to find Sammy B’s prepares their grits with a hint of sweetness. A smile for my palate! When I’m back this way again next year, you betcha I’ll be stopping in!
