This place is great. Came here with a few friends. We all left with left overs. Portions are huge. Fair priced. Service was great. Everyone is very friendly. I will deff come back if im ever in the area again.

A staple of our family for many years. And they deliver! Pizza is good, never a problem with the capable, informal service.

Another review in which I wish there was a half-star option. I can’t honestly say«Yay, I’m a fan,» but I certainly enjoy the place. It’s A-OK! It’s consistent, it’s got a great menu with something for everyone, the portions are big, and the beer is cold. It’s the only real restaurant you’ll find in this area without driving into Willi/Windham. Keep your eyes peeled for the LOGCABIN sign which pops up quickly on the rural, winding Rt. 87. I’ve never seen any reference to an «Uncle D,» and don’t know where that comes from. First, if you like rustic, you’ll like the eponymous Log Cabin. It’s exactly as the name implies, an old log meeting house which dates back to the 1930s. The«dining room» looks as if it was once a dance hall, with a huge stone fireplace rising floor-to-ceiling. Large and open. And noisy, since this is a very family-friendly restaurant(there is a small game room out front with flashback video games like PacMan which seem to fascinate today’s XBox kids). A booth space may still put you next to a table of 10 or 12. This isn’t date-night. As for the food, well… everything we’ve had has been pretty darned good. Nothing is spectacular(although I do love the ribs), but you don’t come to a log cabin for spectacular. This is solid comfort food, with some unique menu twists for the slightly more adventurous. I’ve enjoyed their signature dish, the ribs, on a couple of occasions, and they are good. Very tender and flavorful, and prepared in such a way that dry-rub or saucy aficionados alike will find happiness. One odd note is their Taco Thursday promotion. Thursday? Isn’t it supposed to be Tuesday? Oh, well. There are a couple of other specific-day items, such as Prime Rib, available only on high-volume days. The steaks are good, the pizzas are good, everything we’ve tried is good. I even tried a «Calamari Salad» on our last visit, which was the best of both worlds; I got a big salad with a full order of crispy fried calamari on top, for the price of the calamari order alone. The calamari was prepped perfectly(sans peppers), atop a huge salad. I put the hot calamari onto a side plate so it didn’t wilt the salad, or the salad didn’t chill the calamari — then wished I had gotten a side of marinara, because this was really two meals. Unique. The only downside is the spotty service. It is often inconsistent, and usually slow. They seem to be understaffed, and it is not unusual to wait too long for a server to return to check on your status or to refill a beverage. This is the prime reason I only give three stars. It’s not a «nice» place, the food is good, but the star rating takes a hit because of service.

Just food nothing special. Solid, something you can count on. Service as usual slow but friendly. Unfortunately, nothing to rave about here.

This place is on fire!!! Great food across the board. It’s an absolute blast to come here! My wife and I have been coming here for many years but hit a lull for about three years and did not come. About a ½ year ago we returned to a place that has gone beyond the scope of anything we would have expected. Food and service-EXCELLENT Atmosphere-EXCELLENT I just had my Saint Patty’s Day Corned Beef Special and it was… Excellent. Great place to have nearby and the steaks are insanely good. Thanks to this place for high class city restaurant quality in the boondocks. Greatly appreciated and we will continue to spread the word.

I come here regularly, whether it’s take out or with family/friends. Great environment for family dinner or a night out with friends. I have even been in their banquet room for events. I love it here! I recommend the sticky wings!

I am a regular at The Cabin. I’ve always thought of The Cabin as my «go to» place thanks to good food adn a decent variety of beer. The staff is friendly and always willing to do what it takes to afford a nice experience. Unfortunately, there has been a renovation of the bar that has resulted in the wood stove being eliminated(a nice touch in a rustic environment) and all the table/booths being replaced with those high tables that make a place look like a chain restaurant. Now I have to find a new«local» place. Sad really.

Rustic & very casual atmosphere. The pizza, burgers, and grinders are consistently good so that’s what we stick with. I recommend the cheeseburger pizza & fried zucchini. There are a few beers on tap.

Uncle D’s will always have a spot in my heart as one of the few places that would deliver to my rural home as a kid. Glad I can go back there and eat a burger on a GF bun or a gluten free pizza while my family orders their same old favorites. They had a GF beer in bottle available and cider on tap. Now that I know they do gluten free I will be sure to keep visiting every time I’m in town. Food’s not quite what I’ve become accustomed to in a foodie town so I would give them 3.5 stars. That bacon cheese burger sure hit the spot last night though so I’ll bump them to 4.

Dined here last night with my husband and will definitely be back. As we walked towards the restaurant I noticed the wonderful aroma of tasty food. We were greeted right away– nice because I hate the awkward feeling of waiting by the hostess post hoping someone will notice that patrons are waiting to be sat. The hostess was very nice and asked if we had a reservation, we did not. Thankfully she found a booth for us right away, but next time I will call ahead and make one if necessary. I noticed that they had a separate bar area, which is nice, because usually the loudness from most bars overpower dining room conversation. The music is cheesy, I felt like I was in the mess hall at the Girl Scout’s camp that I used to attend as a girl. However, our booth was clean and waitress was very friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive, should appease picky eaters. The bread was stale, which was fine because I don’t need the extra calories. My sticky wings were awesome!!! I love wings and these were great. My husband had the Mediterranean Salad which was plentiful and yummy. By the time my burger came out I was stuffed. The small piece that I manage to get down was incredible. IDK the cooks were on top of their game last night. The pizza my husband ordered was yummy also. Oh and our pitcher of beer was ice cold! I think I might try the ribs next time. I also noticed the awesome desserts in the case as we were leaving, maybe next time. The ladies room needed a good cleaning. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and service. Would definitely recommend for a casual and yummy meal.

CheeseBurger Pizza! It sounds weird but it is delicous. This has a nice warm wood stove inside the Bar side, and a Nice Fireplace on the restaurant side. They have a big Party banquet room too. For the location this is a great place.
