I thought it odd a city the size of Lebanon would have 2 Goodwill stores, this location is the original store. It is run buy Ohio Valley Goodwill, the one over by WalMart is run by Miami Valley Easter Seals. All the Ohio Valley Goodwills, Harrison, Fairfield and this Lebanon are not well run in my opinion. Stores are usually not well kept, meaning they need a little more elbow grease as far as cleaning goes in my opinion, lots of clutter too. These locations are usually higher priced as well. $ 4.99 for a used men’s button shirt, come on! Miami Valley(around Dayton and to the north) has these priced at 3.99. Other things like CD’s and DVDs are priced higher as well, but do vary by location. This Lebanon local is very tired, cluttered and over priced. You can tell they don’t have a clue when they have the vinyl records stacked one on top of the other(probably all warped by now) and not stacked straight up and down in milk crates or something. I can not bring myself to pay over 5 bucks with tax for a shirt I can get brand new at Walmart for 9 dollars. You know the economy is rough when thrift stores are over priced. I don’t know what the problem is with Ohio Valley Goodwill, but they definitely need to look at trying to organize these stores a little better. I know it’s a thrift store, but look at most of the Dayton Locations, they are cleaner and organized, It really is that noticeable. Just go to the South Lebanon, then go to the North location and see the dramatic difference.
