Inexcusable lackluster, uncaring and lazy attitudes of the host staff, our waiter and the manager. It was supposed to be a birthday celebration… you brought the evening down by your attitudes. I don’t think we’ve ever experienced such a negative feeling from the ground up. With all the restaurants in our city that have fun, caring staff and would love our $ 300 business, we obviously chose the wrong one. If you can’t do it any better than you did Monday night, February 22, 2016, then you are all in the wrong field. We will never go back.

Holy phenomenal. Everything about this place was perfect especially on Valentine’s Day, hardly if any wait. The bartenders were sweet. The host was amazing. Once seated our waiter was more than helpful, he was sweet and very knowledgable w the menu. There was no rush, since my date took forever to decide. Once the plates came, nothing but perfection. Seriously the best choice I’ve made on this vacation.

Visiting the city and brought the lady here for a nice dinner. Had reservations for 7pm and sure enough when we got there our table was ready to go. Sat down and ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp for an app and drinks. For our mains I went for the special Crab Crusted Roughy and she went for the Tilapia Imperial. Shrimp were killer. A little sweet, a little heat, and just all around good. Roughy was very nice and the crab a good compliment. I also upgraded to the truffle mac and cheese. Good flavor on the Mac and it also was a lot so 1 upgraded side easily works for two people. The lady loved her dish as well. We both agreed. We will be back. The Good: Food and Service are top notch. The Bad: Popularity means that parking can get tight and without a reservation you are going to be waiting. The Ugly: Nada. This place rocks.

For two consecutive years, I’ve been among a party of eight to attend an extravaganza meal that this restaurant offered for a fundraising auction. In other words, our entire group so much enjoyed our first experience that we bid — and won — the item a second time! Our abundant meal included a sampling of all the signature items and many others; the quality of food and the service was every bit as good as we anticipated. But I’m posting this review for one reason. As a non-drinker, I feel compelled to to mention how meaningful it was for this restaurant to offer a respectable alternative to NA beer or a soft drink. Seriously, how hard is it for someone in the creature comfort business to recognize our human desire to feel included? Toasting dinner mates with my glass of «Blackberry Smash»(delicious by the way) was so much more dignified than a boring club soda or soft drink. One would think this isn’t rocket science yet even today, offering an alternative remains uncommon in even among the most so-called upscale eateries. Good show Bonefish Grill! And kudos to our waiter and the shift managers on a busy Sunday night.

This was my first time trying the Bonefish Grill and I thought it was great. We tried the Tuesday meal special. App: Bang Bang Shrimp /A+. Cesar salad: B. Fontina Pork with green beans and mashed Potatoes: A–(great cook on the pork and lots of flavor, but really rich) cheesecake: A-(very sweet, but good). Overall: A

I arrived at about 6:30 on Sunday evening, soon after the 5PM service at a nearby mega-church let out, and being that it was only the 2nd Sunday in January, there was a bumper crop in attendance at church, perhaps making good on New Year’s resolutions. I’m guessing that was why the wait at the restaurant was going to be about 30 minutes, unless I wanted to sit at one of the communal high-tops in the bar area and not wait at all… a definite yes! I really wanted to love it. The service was good, and there were very few people at the bar tables, so I didn’t feel cramped or too awkward dining solo. It wasn’t too noisy, and there was just enough light and space to read a magazine while waiting for my dinner. And there were plenty of tempting items on the menu. I decided on the Pecan & Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout, and for my two side dishes, I ordered the Potatoes au Gratin and French Green Beans. I was offered bread while I waited… another definite yes! The complimentary bread, which was about a 6“x6″ square ciabatta«loaf» sliced into several pieces, was warm and wonderful… perfectly crusty on the outside and tender on the inside… heaven! It was accompanied by a tasty olive oil and pesto dipping sauce that couldn’t have been more perfect. To this point, I WAS loving it! My dinner arrived looking good, but that’s when the love affair began to go south. The thinly filleted trout was lost and overcooked underneath the heavy, too-crispy crust. The green beans were SO fashionably al dente that the butter knife that came with my setup just didn’t «cut it»(so to speak). After struggling for a few minutes while the beans threatened to fly off the plate, I had to ask for a steak knife. And even then, it took some doing to cut them! The potatoes were just OK, with nice chunky pieces, but not a lot of flavor. In the interest of full disclosure, one of the reasons I decided to go there was because I’d received a 20% off certificate via email, I believe as a result of having signed up for their rewards program at some point. Despite not being able to say I loved it all, I would definitely give it another try, even at full price… I’d just order something different. Heck, I’d go back JUST for the bread… and order some food to accompany it!

This place is ok. I was a little disappointed with the atmosphere and service. Service was slow but our waiter was nice. After reading other reviews, sounds like service is typically slow. We arrived around 2pm. They were not busy, so there was no excuse for the slow service. Food quality was better then Applebees but not a Bristol. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer, it was very good. We also had the house salad and wedge salad, both were also very good. The truffle mac and cheese was below average. I prefer Paneras mac and cheese over this place. For desert I had the flourless brownie, it was good but not awesome. The bartender made strong drinks for my husband so that’s a plus! The restaurant prices were not cheap. The atmosphere of the place is odd, kinda like a upscale Bob Evans.

Waited 45 minutes as promised, no big, didn’t mind. By the time we got seated all was well, until our server came out… no greet, no specials, no name, just what can I get you to drink. After ordering two cocktails and an appetizer we waited and our drinks were delivered about 10 min later, our waiter 10 minutes after that. We had to request water, our server was not about to get some for us without a request, along with the complimentary bread which had to be requested too as he laughed after agreeing to get the bread. Appetizer came out just fine, but after quite some time of looking around our waited arrived and we were finally able to place our order and second round of drinks by this time. Food arrived medium temperature, with a necessary request for steak sauce and once again scoffed at by the waiter, our filet and ribeye were quite disappointing. With a $ 91 tab we should have received much better service, all I can say is thank goodness we had gift cards to spend; I won’t be spending my money here.

I have one word, ok three: BANGBANGSHRIMP. Its a must when you come! One in our party doesn’t care for shrimp, found himself eating a few of these tasty treats. We had a small group of friends, 6, on a Friday evening with 6:45p reservations. We didn’t have to wait too long before we were seated in an oversize booth. Service was spot on by all members of staff. Friendly, courtesy, cheerful… The variety of food was amazing, everyone in the party really enjoyed their selections. I was surprised at the pricing, I thought it would be a little more pricy than it was but I found it to be reasonable. Will definitely be back for dinner again & soon too.

Had the Orange Roughy topped with crab. It was a little light on the crab crust but other than that it was wonderful. Desert was the macadamia nut brownie. Wasn’t as good as it sounds. I would avoid this and go for another selection. The Flourless brownie tasted like a blend of chocolate and sugar. I have had much better. Service was great not a single issue with that. As of this post aarp card gets you 15% off.

Came here on a Saturday night and there was an hour wait. Luckily, we found a seat in the bar where we enjoyed drinks while we waited for a table. The drinks were overly sweet for my taste but pretty good. We got half dozen Chesapeake Bay oysters which took forever to go and wasn’t shucked too well but it was delicious. The server was attentive but I think the kitchen is just slow because the food took forever. We liked the complimentary ciabatta bread and olive oil, pesto dip. Husband liked his fish and chips but it wasn’t anything special. I enjoyed my mahi mahi. Overall, pricy but quality food. I need to try it again to see if it earns that last star.

My hubby and I decided to try this place out after months of thinking about going. The hostess was very welcoming as we entered as well as when we left. The atmosphere is very intimate but not where you have to dress up. I feel like you’ll be comfortable however you choose to dress. The lighting is dim with a bunch of tables but we felt all to ourselves. Our server was great! I believe his name was Jeremy S. I’ve recently gone dairy free and he helped me choose a gear dairy free dinner that still tasted good. He was very knowledgeable and knew what wouldn’t taste good if it didn’t have butter on it. ;) He never got aggravated with all the questions I had and responded my pleasure to us whenever we said thank you. My hubby tried their swordfish and loved it. It had the perfect texture and the pumpkin ravioli that came with it was surprisingly tasty to him. My mahi mahi was very flavorful and had tender crab and asparagus on top. The jasmine rice that came on the side was the best rice I’ve ever had in a restaurant! It made me want to go out and buy some to cook it as soon as I could. :) We had a great first experience here! The plates are a little smaller than most places but probably the correct the amount of food we should be eating. It’s a little on the pricy side as well but you also get very fresh food. We’ll definitely be back to try out some of the other food.

First time to this chain restaurant. I like the way they cook rainbow trout very much!!! We also ordered lobster tail, and honestly I think it’s better than the Red lobster’s, although I love Red lobster.

I have ate here many times and food is generally very good. However last Friday night I came here to have dinner and wanted to try something new. We started with the bang bang shrimp, my girlfriend ordered steak and I ordered the lobster roll, which you think you could never go wrong with but not so much and let me tell ya, I haven’t thrown up so hard in my entire life. I woke up at 3 am next morning profusely vomiting and had extremely high fever all day long. Needless to say my weekend was ruined and so was my appetite for this restaurant anymore… I strongly suspect food poisoning cause as I told this story to coworkers I quickly found out that there are many others who have became sick after dining at this place. I did also call the restaurant to let them know of my incident but they were quick to avoid blame, typical of a restaurant, and to assure me others who ordered it were just fine. Really?! How can they be so sure, anyone else had problems here???

You go to this place totally for the food and nothing else. I had grilled seabass, lobster tail, scallop, and salad. It’s amazing that they have fresh seafood here! Tasted awesome. But if you want to have a romantic date or a dressed-up dinner, this is a wrong place. I was turned off by their use of paper as table sheet! Yes! No(good) comments on that. And price wise is not cheap. Probably $$$ and not $$. But i would go back again for the food!

I love seafood and I haven’t been to a restaurant in KC that does it better and affordable than this place. Yes, it’s a national chain but they seem to keep a good standard on the quality of their food and their service. The appetizers that we like are the bang bang shrimp and the ahi tuna sashimi. The entrée that we always order is the pecan parmesan crusted rainbow trout. The seasonal vegetables the last time we came here was spaghetti squash and I had a couscous side as well. If you get dessert, I would recommend the crème brûlée which they do right with a thick custard layer and just a thin candy sugar layer(not a thick glass layer). The one thing that I could note about this location is that in the main dining area I sometimes l feel like I am the youngest person there and I am definitely not young anymore. If you feel a little old there too I would suggest getting a drink at the bar first and perhaps eat at the nearby community tables, it’s a different dining experience.

I had a nice holiday luncheon here with my gal-pals from work. It’s always fun coming here, even though it is a chain. I’ve not ha a bad meal yet. I had crab cakes with a sriracha dipping sauce. Wow! It was almost all crab and not so much filler which was really nice and the sauce was superb. It came with an Asian-flavored slaw that was nice and fresh and crunchy! One of my friends had the corn chowder with crab and it knocked my socks off! So delicious, fresh and creamy with the lovely buttery crab in the middle. The atmosphere here is classy and fun, in kind of a snooty part of town and a little out of the way for me but I’ve always enjoyed it. The server was a comely little chap who was pleasant and friendly and made sure everything was made to order. He and the young lady he was training, checked on us often and their attitudes and communications were pleasant and professional. The prices wasn’t bad either and the portions are always generous. Oh yes and they always make a very tasty and refreshing mojito!

Delicious, simply delicious! My boyfriend was briefly back in town for a business trip(he moved) so we decided to have a nice dinner. After searching on Unilocal we decided on this place — he wanted a burger and a beer and I wanted lobster. It was Tuesday which meant they offered the«summer tales of lobster event!» We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp to start — OMG they were amazing! I can see why its so popular. For our drinks, I had the signature white sangria and he ordered the India Pale Ale Double Wide; and dinner was a burger for him and the Filet Topped with Lobster Thermidor for me. Every bite was amazing and when paired with the fresh bread and pesto… completely amazing. Service added to the overall experience. I know that next time he’s back in town I’ll be bringing him back here!
