Thanks for being open and having the things we need. They are very friendly and carry most things you would need on vacation or camping from fruit to beer/wine to sugar and flour for cooking. Rent movies too.

Just Plain Grocery & Gas is the only spot for food staples for miles around, and they have a reasonable selection of food — from produce, to frozen, dairy, and canned goods. They also have a limited, but reasonable, selection of household goods as well as movie rentals. Because it’s a lone ranger in the area, of course their prices are pretty inflated compared to the grocery stores in Leavenworth. But it’s a local business, with friendly staff, and it’s really convenient to have around. And for that, it’s hard to complain about!

Little bit of everything you might need. Impressed with selection. You’ll pay for it though!

So, this place was close to our cabin and is where we bought our milk and butter. It’s really just a gas station with a little more food. The prices are ridiculous, but this is the only option in the area for about 25 minutes. It’s okay for getting a few things, but if you need to actually grocery shop definitely go to the Safeway in Leavenworth.

Plain may be small, but it’s home. Best place to shop for supplies if you don’t want to drive all the way into Leavenworth. Great people; coldest beer!

Popped in for some ice cream. Small but very good selection, friendly people, and calm atmosphere.

Super sweet staff. Locally owned by the same family who has lived in the town of Plain, WA for a grip. The selection and prices are about the same as your local 7 – 11 here in Seattle. You’ll drop $ 40 on the basics; bread, milk, and eggs. They don’t really have produce(unless you count the canned kind) and no meat department(except for potted meats and jerky). Best to use them for emergency beer runs, sodas, and chips. Snacks are reasonable enough, especially if you’re headed out to Lake Wenatchee for a picnic, day at the beach or hike. If you want to do real grocery shopping, burn the gas and drive to the Safeway in Leavenworth. You’ll thank me in the end.
