Fairway Hills Apartments

Been here for a few months. The apartments are very cheaply made and whoever built these apartments obviously have no building skills at all. The kitchen light has gone out three times in one week and a guy came and fixed it (which this place is really good at fixing things quick) and now when I turn it on its dim and has to warm up and then it gets brighter! When we first moved it the shower handles were loose. and there were shelves missing in the kitchen cabinets. I haven’t smelled any pot but my neighbor next to me smokes in his apartment and the walls are so thin and have no insulation the front of my apartment (kitchen and dining room) smells like a fresh cigarette. The people here are very rude and loud, like I cannot stand the people here for an example one of neighbors decided to get surround sound and they had it us so loud that the glasses and plates in my kitchen were shaking. Our back yard is a golf course which the golfers are inconsiderate. This idiot decided to drive their golf cart in my back yard almost running over my dog and doesn’t even stop! I didn’t know who to complain to because the next thing I see is our management riding with the idiot. The hot water doesn’t last long it lasts like 10 – 15 minutes so you can’t really enjoy and nice long hot relaxing shower. Also during the snow storm the management doesn’t even arrange a plow truck to come through the apartment to plow the snow so instead we had like 5 or 6 cars stuck in the entrance. Okay the positive, this place isn’t bad for the price, its very cheap rent like under 600 $ unless you have pets. then its a little over. The rooms and bathroom are full size which is good and good size closets in the bathroom. The apartments all come with a fresh coat of paint, carpet and wooden floors, new appliances, flooring, counter tops and sinks for the bathroom. We only signed for a year lease but we are definitely not going to stay here we are already looking into a new place to go and if the other place is better we may buy out our lease. But overall this place isn’t bad for a young couple but if you have kids this isn’t the place.

Hands down, this place is a dump. People race around the parking lot, there is trash every where, and rules are not at all enforced. People smoke pot in their house (you can smell it outside) and when this is brought up to the management (they have a no drug policy) they do not do anything about it.
When I moved in, this house was disgusting. I spent two days cleaning. The kitchen was the worst, all the cabinets stuck together, it was gross inside the cabinets too.
This was supposed to be a «remodeled» apartment as well.
Every time I go in to pay my rent, there is someone new in the office. They are constantly hiring and firing people, that I can not keep up.
The walls are thin in the apartments, although you do not share many walls, you can still hear everything. There was an incident that happened where a lady «discharged» her gun in the apartment. The Leavenworth Times reported that the bullet went through the wall into another apartment, but no one was hurt. When we questioned what happened with the landlord, they said that it did not go through walls. I just felt that they should have sent a letter to the tenets letting them know about the situation. I really do not feel safe after that.
There are many people that live here that are questionable. I do not feel safe going outside with my son so he can play. Saying that, there is no place for children to play. No playground, pool, nothing. Kids are free to run around everywhere, and that includes riding their bikes way to close to the cars.
And last but not least, these apartments are on a golf course. Now some may think, «oh fancy!» NO! The golf carts are constantly driving through the apartments. I was leaving one day and saw a guy in a golf cart (the golf course is not associated with the apartments) peeing next to our trash cans. Really? Not only that, but my car has been hit with golf balls, causing $ 100 in damage every time I have to have it fixed (has happened more than once).
I think that this place has gotten better since I have moved here, but I still can not wait until my lease is up! I would not recommend moving here!

Not happy with this place at all. Since they have been bought out, the upgrades are nicer but the focus seems to be on their fancy office. We need a new parking lot! But the main problem is the tenants. They are trashy, obnoxious and loud. The cops are here too often. Quite often when I come home, I smell someone smoking pot. And about a month ago, some lady shot a gun inside her apt and it went into another apt. They did evict her but thats the kind of people that live here. Not enough is being done about the drug problem. Oh, and the laundromat is a joke. Theres not near enough washers/​dryers to handle the number of tenants and the ones they do have are about half the size of normal washers! I feel this place is a safety concern for my family and I cannot wait to move.
