Destination Leavenworth

We stayed at a destination Leavenworth cabin in December 2014 and were very disappointed. We thought we would give them a second chance in December 2015 thinking it could not get worse. We were wrong.
The river cabin was much smaller than described. They say it sleeps six and there are beds for six but four of those are two twin beds and a double bed in a loft which contains no chests or no shelves. You must live out of a suitcase.
When we arrived the bathroom sink was running slow. I took out the plunger and found a 3 inch long hair ball. Obviously the bathroom, which is antiquated and small, had not been cleaned in a very long time. The water heater is good for only 1.5 showers which is problematic since the cabin sleeps six.

Received a quote for $ 1311 on a rental inquiry from this company two days ago via email. Went to access the quote today to make payment only to find out the email was recalled without notice. They quickly replied with another quote for $ 1575. Needless to say, I will not be doing business with these folks.

My wife and I have rented cabins through Destination Leavenworth many times. Each cabin we have stayed in has been clean, well maintained, and well furnished/​equipped with everything they claimed on their website with everything in working order. If you are looking to rent a cabin in the greater Leavenworth area then Destination Leavenworth is a great place to start you search!

The only thing that was good about the timmermans house was that it was fairly close to town. If you care about the décor of your stay then you should definitely not stay here. I know it’s a German theme house but the furniture and décor is absolutely hideous. Actually very embarrassing. I can’t believe that they think people will like it and may think its cozy. NOT!
Also, the beds are very uncomfortable! I’ve tried two. One very squishy, if your partners heavier you will be sinking in toward them! The other rock hard!
I too left something behind and four phone calls later they tell me that nothing was found. Then she begins to tell me that maybe I stuck it somewhere else! Really??? When I unpacked this item was not there, of course I left it in the house! For the money that you pay a night definitely not worth it! Will not recommend this house to anyone!

I would not recommend renting a property through this company. We had a very disturbing experience at the Leavenworth Lookout cabin and the staff at Destination Leavenworth did nothing to rectify the situation. We left a few things behind and they did not make any effort to return these items to us; my thoughts are the cleaning people kept these items for themselves which is extremely disappointing.
I am in a customer service job and the customer service at this company is deplorable! Stay away from this company and stay far away from the Leavenworth Lookout cabin!
