I have been a customer of Greg Brooks at Benchmark Jewelers for over fifteen years. His business is in Leavenworth, halfway between the town where I worked and the town where my mother lives. On nice summer days, I’d drive through, get gas, get some kind of tasty pastry, and stop in Greg’s shop to treat myself to something new and sparkly as a reward for surviving another school year – I was a junior high and high school teacher.
The inventory was displayed tastefully (OK…seductively) and Greg was generous with his time, explaining the background and qualities of gems and styles. I did a lot of «trying on and walking around» the shop and there was never any pressure to buy. Any questions or concerns were dealt with quickly and pleasantly. He and his staff feel like old friends now.
I can’t imagine going anywhere else for either an impulse purchase or a custom design.
