Every time I return to Leavenworth, I’m reminded why this is one of my favorites! An excellent independent bookstore with a nicely curated selection.

Small, local bookstores are the best! Kinda hidden even tho it’s out in the open, this is a neat bookstore. Lots of books crammed into a small space. New books out front and a small selection of used books in the back. What makes any small bookstore special is the people behind the counter. We were greeted right away and asked if we needed help finding anything. When we said we were just wandering through, we were left alone to do just that. They also have a fun selection of cards, postcards, etc that’s worth checking out. When you find yourself in Leavenworth, stop in and say hi to Laurie if she’s there!

This place is magical. The perfect book awaits you here and the superb staff will help you find it; or just browse, the books in the shop are very well chosen. I love coming to Leavenworth and I always visit this bookstore. They also have all kinds of cute things scattered around the shop, perfect for gift giving or spoiling yourself – nothing tourist tacky either. I love spending time to select my books and I appreciate being able to pick them up and glance through them so I always support independent bookstores in my travels. This one is on the top of my list!

I don’t hang at bookstores often, but today I spent about an hour here. My amateur rating of 4 for the décor, books categorized by genre, extra random trinkets for sale, and a coffee shop next door(inside entrance through the bookstore too). Today was a Monday so this place was nice and quiet. One of the ladies that worked here greeted me and my wife by letting us know if we needed any help she would be available. Spent the hour in the cookbook section. Decent selection to keep me browsing pages for another 4 hours.

I agreed with Carrie H. It’s a very small store. There is a good selection of items, and I thought that the prices were very decent too. My friends picked up some excellent gifts for their families and it’s directly connected with the Starbucks, so say what you will. It was nice though to be able to use the bathroom before heading out on our trek through Leavenworth. This bookstore doesn’t really stand out though. Honestly, not much does in Leavenworth unless it’s Oktoberfest. Going during«off-season» is just not that impressive. It’s a Bavarian themed town so that’s about it. Just regular shops with a Bavarian shell. Nothing special.

My kids and I love this bookstore! As we were staying upstairs in the Innsbrucker Inn, we got a small discount for books and items in this store. I wasn’t expecting to buy anything, nor was I really needing anything, but my kids and I found SO many things we loved here, we couldn’t resist!(Note: now that Borders has closed everywhere, there aren’t many bookstores near us, and we miss them! We usually frequent the library — a lot). This store is not huge, but they have a better-than-decent selection of fiction, classics, travel, cooking, pets, self-help and spirituality books. They have all the best sellers. They have the coolest bookmarks and literary-themed items. They also have some fun toys for kids and a small stationery and clothing area(we priced a few shirts for my teen kid, but they were quite expensive. Like, VERY expensive). Still, she found a classic novel for $ 3, and I found my hard-to-shop-for father a beautiful Norman Rockwell book for fathers, for Father’s Day(he’ll love it!). We could have spent hours here…

This is a little book store, in the same vein as other independent book stores in a picturesque village. It’s small, the staff are a little eccentric seeming(but nice and friendly) and the range of books is okay. The store isn’t half the size of a Chapters/Indigo stock room so there’s no way A Book For All Seasons will be able to compete with the range of books available in a book superstore. I loved it though. It was a little cramped(once again, small book store) but they seemed to make the most of their space. It’s interesting they partnered up with a Starbucks for their café, rather than another independent coffee store. No complaint, I like my Starbucks. I definitely recommend a visit when you go to Leavenworth. And especially if you stay at their Inn! All inn customers get a discount. I used mine to it’s fullest :)

Great little Indy Bookstore! Mostly new books, but the selection is excellent. The children’s books are some of the best I’ve ever found in one place. Look closely and you’ll see that the rest of the store has an incredible variety — you can tell the books have been chosen with a well-seasoned, if not slightly eclectic eye. Everywhere you look there is something — book or non-book(I’ve found a few gifts in here too) — you’re likely to find something for everyone here. It’s a fun place for bibliophiles to browse! Back in the corner, near Starbucks, is a corner filled with used books, and I always find something here — good prices. The categories are well laid out and they also have a good regional/history section. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and to me, that’s one reason why I go to Independent booksellers — the money stays in the community, I support a local business, and in turn, I get good service and a great store to roam around in! Check it out!

This is the small little bookstore next to Starbucks. Staff was friendly. They had lots of cute little accessories. Kids liked all the tschotskes(sp) and it was a fun walk thru place. Didn’t buy anything.

I love this little store. Mega bookstores are handy but there is nothing like a small book store. So handy when vacationing and sometimes I am forced out of my normal book section because of the smaller variety. I have always enjoyed my new finds. I have a fond memory of this store too… Years ago they had the first edition of «Little House on the Prairie» way up high on a shelf. It wasn’t for sale but oh such a beautiful sight to see!

Pretty small store, but a good place to hit up when you’re out of reading material and need to kill some time. Picked up a book, and out the door pretty quick after that. Bing bong!

Nice employees, but not much of a bookstore. Not a very big selection and mostly new stuff only. Small variety. I’m a bookstore fanatic and didn’t stay in here more than 5 – 10 minutes.
