VIP Nail Lounge & Spa

I came here couple days before my wedding. I had three other women with me. We did not have an appointment we came in and they treated us like we were some kind of burden. The place was not busy at all. Each of us had different women doing our nails and we left with having horrible service and our nails looked horrible. That was a year ago I went back recently to give it another try and I wasn’t pleased. The lady that did my nails cut three of my cuticles on my nails. She told me at the beginning that they were one price and when everything was done the price had doubled so I was mislead. Then she followed me to the register to make sure I had given her a tip. Definitely not pleased at all with this place. I will not be coming back.

Very disappointed! My first visit nails only lasted about 1.5 weeks before I noticed chips etc. Second visit, nails looked nice had a fill done. The next day the acrylic tip everything popped off my right pointer finger. I went and had fixed. Next day same thing on my left hand. Went and had it fixed. Third day same thing another finger. I finally went elsewhere paid extra to have all tips removed and replaced. I am pretty sure they are using very cheap or expired materials. In the sixteen years having my nails done never so many problems. I would avoid going it’s a waste of money and time going back for repairs. If they are using cheap materials I’m pretty sure they are also using unsanitary products. It may look nice but very bad service and materials. Please save yourself the trouble and avoid.
Try spending less on advertising and buy better product. Then you will get repeat customers. Eventually you will run out of new customers.
A good fill job will last 4 – 8 weeks. If it’s only lasting 2 – 3 weeks your going to a bad place.

Everytime I’m down here for vacation in Houston and I need to get my nails, I come to this place ! Very friendly customer services and if there’s any issues with the services they’ll fix it quickly… I have no idea why it has low rating !!!

I have been going here for about 6 months and haven’t had any issues up until my last visit in November. I developed a toe infection because they went too deep in my cuticles (at the time I didn’t know you technically were not suppose to get your cuticles cut). Needless to say, I waited a few weeks went back and they even gave me a discount and were apologetic. I’m just thankful my toe didn’t fall off! Staff was friendly as usual…

I’m fed up. I liked it because it’s a clean facility and when Nina was there I liked coming. I’ve had Teresa, Tony, Lynn and Amy. I do not recommend teresa for a full set or pedicures she’s in a hurry and nails didn’t last. Tony is ok Amy and Lynn are good except for this past weekend. I made an appointment with Lynn. Refill on gel nails with OPI Shellac $ 37 and $ 10 tip. Two days later one of them chipped. Fine I was annoyed but willing to come back and get it fixed. I come back early Saturday morning had another technician fix it and change color on two other nails. Not even an hour later I have to come back get same nail fixed and be asked «what happened». Really I’m already mad due to the nail chipping don’t ask me anything just apologize for wasting my time. Needless to say Amy fixed it and no one apologized for me having to come back. It’s not my fault they are in a hurry. Customer service is not on their agenda and now I’m never going back. If you like poor attitude and don’t mine having to go back for re-​dos that’s the place for you. Oh and by the way the guy who greets you at the entrance nor the manager apologized didn’t say a word to me as I waited or when I walked out.

Pedicure bowls are gross, nail files were even grosser. I got a full set she did a really good job, the only reason why I came back. Second time around didn’t get a pedi of course but omg this lady did a horrible job on my fill in. It took her an hour and a half to complete. I didn’t like how she did one of my nails so after a couple try’s and her attitude, I politely ask for the nail file myself to try to fix my nail. While she sat back and folded her arms lol wow okay! I still tipped her a few dollars because I’m not a rude classless person but I will not be back.

I hate this place!!! They are so rude, always have waits, never give good service, and overall is horrible. This is over a span of 10 visits. I really kept trying to let them redeem themselves, but it ain’t happening! Stay far away!

Made an appointment and waited 15 mins to be told there was no one there to do my nails and that they were to busy with walkins. Try back later. Not a way to run a business!

Horrible service and not inviting whatsoever. After waiting several minutes, 2 people who arrived after me were seated before me for the same services-​pedicure. When they finally decided to seat me, I was seated in a wet chair! I was never offered a beverage. The pedicure was very uncomfortable, and painful. The lady was falling asleep as she was scrubbing my foot! Yes, she literally zonked out and stopped scrubbing as her eyes were closed and she drifted off! The lady sitting next to me was seated in a basin with cold water. When she asked why the water wasn’t warm, she was told «that’s the way it is!»…definitely recommend avoiding this nail salon at all cost! Much better salons in the area!

Been coming here for a while now. I don’t really care for their pedis so I never get one anymore only a full set or refill acrylic nails. I’m very specific particular of what I want and that’s the flawless powder white tips and and the white tips must be short. I’ve never been to another salon where they have done my nails perfectly, there are there techs that I think are good and know what there doing. As another reviewer posted yes their are some terrible techs, my nail beds are tiny and I think the techs get annoyed but o well. Their colored powers for acrylic are WAY over priced even their white glitter, honestly 50.00 for a full set in like red or black is insane to me but I do like the job they do, went the other day, I don’t remember her name but my nails literally are perfect

Me: «how much for a full set?» Receptionist: «idk but If you don’t like the price you can leave»
what a way to great a customer, especially since I didn’t even complain about the price, I just asked what it was. Then the nail tech made my nails bleed and got mad at me because I was in pain. WORST NAIL SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO, please please please do not go here if you care about your nails and/​or customer service!

I have been coming to VIP since the very first day they opened. I have had a couple of «rushed» experiences but overall my experiences have been great. Tiffany and Helen are wonderful. Still a loyal client!

Came here again for a mani, and it was just as bad as before. I had polish left all over my skin and was very rushed through. The nail tech even burped without covering her mouth or saying excuse me. Gross!

Been coming here for about 7 months good tech and bad ones. Tech was hurting me by holding hard and twisting, she then pointed out I developed fungus under several nails. Asked her to use unused files and tools, tried to used previously used ones and said they were new. They were used anyone who does this as many years as I have, knows the difference. Asked her to change it and she got an attitude but changed it. Then started hurting me again and rushing, asked her to slow down and she got worse. She started obviously talking shit in her own language and I Asked her to get someone else to finish me. Lena finished me and did a decent job. I come to relax and was not worth the drama. I won’t be back!

Horrible experience, never again!!!
I should have stayed at my regular place across the street at Miracle Nails, they are 100 times better! I was the first customer at the salon. Upon arrival a lady greeted me & asked for me to pick a color. While looking around at their selection, not even a minute has passed, the lady walked back up and stood right next to me as of she was rushing me to select a color! So unprofessional! Every time I would pick up a polish she would say «oh yes, that one is nice, pick that one» I should have left right then and there. When I finally found a color i liked, she took me to the chair and kept pushing for me to get the «deluxe» instead of the «regular» I sat at the chair for another 10 minutes until I was assisted, the Manicurist who did my pedicure apologize for being late since she was stuck in traffic. She used a nipper to cut my toenails instead of a nail cutter & did not bother to file it. She literally scrubbed my foot for 5 second and gave me a quick massage. She put two coats of polish and when i asked for another coat she was very hesitant and told me i would be too much & it won’t be good. Really?! In the end, the pedicure looked messy & my toenails were crooked! She started my pedicure at 9:15 and ended at 9:40! omg! My other manicurist across the street takes a whole hour to do my pedicure. Lesson learned, Never again!
