You cant get any better than this. Shipleys donuts are always fresh, warm and delicious. The glazed icing is not overly thick and sweet – its just right. The donuts fold into themselves as they’re so fresh. With other brands of donuts you have to eat almost the whole donut before you get any jelly or filling. Not so with Shipley’s. Every bite is filled with goodness. The servers are always pleasant, courteous, and quick. The only problem with this particular location is the drive-through and parking situation, however the police department is now handling it. Park, get out and go in. Its worth it. Believe me.

A Houston Texas original. The hot plain glazed are the best.

Great staff, super helpful and friendly. Location is a little weird if you don’t go through the drive thru,(have to back out onto 518) but other than that id definitely visit this shipleys again. It’s very close to work, and the donuts are amazing as always.

This place is a real donut shop. It is small, personable, and the staff actually care about the quality of the food. Come in early and best the lines… it’s worth it!

Not sure if I was just very hungry but damn Shipley’s doughnuts were delicious. Bought two items: apple fritter and a Chocolate crème filled doughnut. Apple fritter was epic… it was very large and fried wonderfully with a slight crisp on the glaze and even better the apple compote inside was still warm. Chocolate crème filled doughnut was just as good, the chocolate crème was smooth and sweet and just oozed slowly out when I bit into the soft and still warm dough. Coffee was surprisingly good too. I apologize for not posting any pictures as my visit to Shipley’s was kind of a spur of the moment road trip stop, and I quickly consumed them in the car.

Ever just get craving for a maple donut? The struggle is real, I was craving a maple donut, and by now it was close to 4 pm so I knew the odds of finding one was going to be slim. I remembered seeing Shipley’s Do-Nut when driving down the street so that’s where I was headed in search of that Maple Donut goodness! This Shipley’s Do-Nut had a drive thru window, but since I have never been I needed to check the place out. I was greeted once I walked in, but needed time to check things out, after a quick look I was already distracted by a bright pink sprinkled donut that I just had to have in my life haha. After checking everything out and having my daughter with me, we walked out with pink sprinkled donuts, apple fritters, a chocolate filled donut and some glazed ones for free since it was Shipley’s Anniversary and a maple donut! The donuts tasted great, the chocolate filled donut was the best filled donut I have had in a very long time, it was like a fluffy chocolate ganache stuffed into a soft fluffy donut, it was sweet bliss for sure! Glad I made the stop at Shipley’s, these were good donuts!

Okay I do not eat donuts all the time, but I have been to most of the Shipley donuts in Houston. While in League City my friend asked me to pick up some donuts from the Shipley’s near her Houston. When I got there, man it was busy. I walked in, and it had a family donut shop feel to it. It was pretty nice. They have a decent selection of donuts and kolaches. While the donuts taste pretty much like any other Shipley’s donuts, the service and feel makes this a pretty nice establishment.

Been eating Shipleys for years but out of all Shipleys I’ve been to, this location is the best. Same owners for 40 years, great, friendly customer service, personal, and they give the freshest food. I love that their kolaches are not more bread than filling. I’ve always pinched half the bread off from other locations but this one makes them with less and it is so good.

For all those bad reviews out there. This place is a family owned business. It’s been in league city for a very long time. The owners still work there. This is a very old building, but competition that ended up across the street went out of business as this place makes the best! It’s a cool place. People that sit at the drive thru talk to the people as we all KNOWTHEM. He knows most of his customers by their own name. Even if you’ve been gone a year he still knows you. This is the best place to get donuts hence the long lines you see at the drive thru and inside. I’ve been going there since I moved to League City several years ago. It’s a great place to sit down and enjoy a donut and or pick up to bring home. I never go thru the drive thru as I see it’s long each time. I go inside. Sometimes you can’t find a place to park, but you can on the side back street. There is also a gravel road on the back right side so you can either park or leave and use the street light to turn left or right onto FM518. Unless you park in front of the building, Yes, you have to back up unto FM518. This was a small country town, once so no need for a bad review for having to back up on a main street. If you don’t like it don’t park in the front of the building. Problem solved. They do have workers that only work in the back making the donuts and do not work with the customers so that is why one might of passed you up with the one bad review below. There are only about three people that work the front counter, only. If you don’t like crowded busy places where people like to talk go down the street and go to a place where they don’t know who you are. They get up at 3am to start making the donuts. I have even gone when they first open to get stuff. Thank you to the staff and owners of this business without you in League City and how you remember everyone’s name it just shows how much you care about your customers. Keep up the great work! Thank you.

The drive through gets backed up and because it’s so close to the main road it can make it difficult to turn in. The building itself is too small to «dine in». However the staff is very friendly. Get them while they’re hot if not there half as good

Dirty hole-in-the-wall place. I didn’t even know it was a Shipleys until we pulled up. I’m wondering if they are even affiliated with Shipleys. Poor service and workers didn’t seem too thrilled to be there either.

Things in life should sometimes not be this good. Haha Being a girl from Florida. I’ve had Dunkin Donuts and Krispy cream, but hands down nothing was as taster than this place. I try to eat not a lot of sugar and junk food. I went HAM and got too many yummy filled and glazed donuts. With a medium coffee. I’ll be back, devil… Hehe

I love doughnuts and was so excited to try a Shipley’s since it had a five star rating. I figured that it couldn’t get any better. I was even more excited when I arrived and found the drive through with a long line and a long line inside. I always judge a doughnut shop by their regular glazed and their cinnamon rolls. They both were dense and more of the glazed sugar ended up on the floor than in my mouth. They were good, but there was nothing special. I would go back, but they are not my favorite.

Shipley’s are the best donuts in the country. With that being said, not all Shipley’s are created equal. This Shipley’s is the best one I have ever been to. Their donuts are the BOMB. Also, many Shipley’s sell kolaches. However, this location has the best Kolaches that I have eaten at a Shipley’s. I guess the one drawback on this location is the size of the business. The building is very small and crowded. The drive-thru only allows two cars at a time. The third car blocks part of the street which will always require some donut hater to honk at you. Park and go in. It’s worth it. Employees are friendly and efficient. Not real chatty but honestly, they don’t have time to chit-chat.

The absolute best Shipley’s. I know it’s a franchise. But they don’t all make the exact same quality as this one does. This is a hidden gem.

Nice people, donuts OK. It’s a donut shop so I don’t go there very often, but comparing to larger chains and other boutique places where I’ve lived, I’ve tasted better. However, love supporting local business and the people that work at this location are always sincere and kind.

Love these donuts. Every time I come to Houston I make sure I have some here. SOOOOOOOO good. PS — the service kinda sucks but who cares … the donuts make up for it.
