Joe is a BARBER, not a stylist, he does top notch work. The only trouble is getting in. Cuts are $ 15 and appointments are $ 25. My schedule doesn’t allow for appointments so I have to take my chances on a Tuesday or Wednesday walkin, any other day is usually booked solid. The address needs to be updated(IH45 south between 518&96)

If you don’t set an appointment with Joe. Avoid going here as a walk in with his other barbers!!! Black dude named Matt took an hour plus on a simple fade. After the long wait wondering what was taking so long. He couldn’t even get the fade right. Hopefully I have enough hair left to go somewhere else that knows how to cut hair. I do NOT recommend this place. Even after Joe saw his guy F$&$ed up my hair he didn’t even offer to fix it… What a way to keep your customers satisfied…

Joe Galaviz is a top notch barber, always comes through in the clutch, great barbershop, clean. Comfortable seating. Even has a pool table. If your in the clear lake area and are in need of a good fade. Fadeaway is the place to go. Best to make an appointment. Walkins usually have to wait.

Hard to find a no-joke barber shop these days. my son was home on leave and in need of a decent haircut. This is what he wanted: low skin fade, with an ‘8’ on top, razor cut the edges. Not sure what all that means but he came out a brand new man. He said it was the first time he was able to tell the barber what he wanted and actually get it. He’s used to the military barbers that are clipper happy and gives virtually the same cut to everyone. These guys are a class act! They’re a dying breed. Let’s keep them open! It’s a Christian establishment so leave your potty mouths in the parking lot! It’s not exactly conveniently located(IH45 south between 518&96) but it’s worth it.
