Love the vibe of this place. Very neat and modern interior with free wi-fi. An awesome place to meet friends or spend a quiet afternoon with a book. I don’t drink coffee but my boyfriend tells me their stuff is top-notch. What I can speak for is their hot apple cider. Hands down the best I’ve ever had. Add a splash of caramel(free of charge), you won’t regret it. Their food is great too. I’m a big fan of their quiches and if they’ve got the vegan pumpkin nut bread give it a try — it’s awesome. The service is always friendly and fast. The only thing that bumps a star off for me is their brownies. I didn’t care for them, they were way to sweet and kind of spongy and I like some sweets with my warm beverages so that was a big deal to me. I haven’t tried their cookies but they look pretty good. All in all though, great spot!

I stopped here on my way back from Aspen. I had high expectations that this joint would have good coffee. Coffee was just average. It was simply just bitter with not much else.

We went here about 3 or 4 times while camping out at Camp Hale. They had wifi which was what brought us in and the rest was a awesome bonus. the food they make is outstanding. The coffee and drinks were made very well. The atmosphere is perfect to hang around and people watch or get some work done. The staff was good and cared about what they were doing. It could be a ton worse and still get the same amount of business so hats off to them.

Airy and inviting décor, funky art on the walls(and a vintage bicycle atop a cross beam), and comfortable chairs invite lingering. They have a decent selection of hot beverages(they serve loose leaf tea — hooray!), including a spicy chocolate which I’ll have to try should I visit in winter, and some cold drinks. Bathrooms are clean, baristas are friendly. WiFi available for those who can’t leave home without a device.

A little over-priced, but definitely delicious. When you’re at nearly 11,000ft and jonsing for some caffeine, this is definitely the place. Nice relaxing atmosphere, with friendly staff. If you get your coffee to stay, it’s served in real mugs, which is cool. That said, grab a sleeve before you get your hot beverage to go from the baristas. The walk from the register to the sleeves by the front door with the to go cup is enough to melt the skin off your hand!

Provin’ Grounds serves City Hill coffee which is roasted locally and it is delicious. They have a a full kitchen and bake breakfast items every morning which include scones, muffins, biscuits, quiche, breakfast sandwiches, etc. I have never had a breakfast item that wasn’t good. The staff are nice and the atmosphere is relaxing. You can sit on a bench seat with a friend, at the coffee bar, or enjoy a table by yourself or with friends. Lastly, the hours are 6am to 6pm everyday.

One of the only(if not the only) coffee shop and bakery in town. All the food is made right there from scratch. Great place to hang out on a cold winter day or a sunny summer day to escape the searing high country sun.

Very good coffee and teas and the food was great as well. I didnt get a very good vibe from the main Barrista — she seemed to have an attitude. But I will still give the place 4 stars b/c we went there twice and their muffins were deliciious as was their Quiche

Came in for drinks on August 2, 2010 after a long bike riide. While there was a line, the atmosphere seemed welcoming so we decided to wait. The two of us ordered a large soy latte and medium soy chai. While we were waiting, the barrista placed a cup on the counter and said, «medium soy chai.» Before I could get to it someone in the group behind us picked it up and started drinking. We figured, no problem, we’ll just let them know and they can make another medium. When we informed the young lady barrista that this had happened, she could not understand that we had the medium soy chai and the person in the group behind us had a small soy chai. If you can believe it, she actually became angry with us for asking her to make another medium soy chai, and refused to answer my wife’s questions about whether she was making another one. When we asked again she snipped, «I can’t make the drink steam any faster.» When we suggested they use a name associated with an order she dismissed the idea. After all this, the coffee latte was fine, but the chai tasted terrible with no flavor or froth — surprise, surprise. The experience kind of reminded me of the Seinfeld soup nazi episode where being cordial with the staff was not an option — and if someone steps out of line, there will be hell to pay! Next time, I’ll choose one of the other options in Leadville, evidently business is good enough not to worry about good customer service.

Just what you need to perk up your sore back from sleeping on the ground in a tent, a stop at this coffee shop will caffeinate your body and soul. It’s warm and cozy, with tall ceilings, exposed brick, old heavy wood beams, and sofas and rocking chairs to settle into and hang out at long as you please. Bring a computer if you need to escape the idea of camping — they offer Wifi. The coffee is soothing and made with pride from a local CO roaster that sources fair trade coffee, and the baked goods will satisfy any cravings you have for butter and sweets. The chocolate croissants are extra doughy and divine, and everything is made fresh in-house. Portions are generous, and served in ceramic mugs. Baristas offer plenty of eye-candy for the men and are bubbly and smiley. Go, relax, sip, soothe.

Great independent coffee shop! Free Wi-Fi and unique décor. In addition to coffee drinks they have soups, baked goods and sandwiches. They have several specialty concoctions. I had the«Cow’s Tail» which was quite good. Unlike certain corporate coffee shops, if you have your beverage there, it comes in a real mug instead of a paper cup.
