This is a bit off the main street but well worth it. The staff are friendly and if you are struggling to figure out what is good — ask them. They are very helpful. I had the chicken and cranberry wrap and could not make up my mind what wrap to get. The guy who took my order (owner?) suggested a tomato wrap. It was fabulous. The coffee is always good there. It is surprising that for years Le Claire did not have a decent coffee place. And often if there is no competition, then the coffee is just okay. Not so with this place — the coffee is great.

I love the little town of Le Claire the Java house is sweet nice little place to sit relax and read. They have a small menu for breakfast and lunch. I had the Elvis peanut butter and bananas who knew with fresh fruit.

Not worth it at all!!! 2:50pm to 3:28, for one drink!!! The girl working was 100% clueless and it’s obvious the owners are too, by the way they run their small crap hole. I regret ever taking a chance and stopping here rather going to McDonald’s!!!

In need of my morning fix and I figured a place called «Java House» would be able to accommodate. I wasn’t disappointed!
The service was super friendly and quick (though there was only 1 other customer at the time)
The seating area was clean, large, and comfortable. *Nice touch* with the soothing lounge music playing softly in the background.
My large coffee was LARGE (24oz) but the price wasn’t. ~$ 2. Smooth, not burnt or watered down. No where near the swill other places call coffee
My breakfast sandwich was almost worth the nearly $ 6. A bit greasy/​drippy but what do you expect when it has a pile of bacon in it. Yum! My only complaint– the Agnes Sao I could order it on an everything bagel so I did. But it came on a plain. #firstworldproblems
I got my order to-​go but I will definitely be back!

Beautiful hipster environment! One other person here working on a laptop.
We pushed the two easy chairs together, ate, sipped latte/​frappé. Delish!
