Oh my gosh this place is über expensive for a holiday inn in the middle of nowhere! Room was clean and updated, but the river front view was a little spoiled by the parking lot between the hotel and the river.

Great customer service! Love Ronnie! Nice clean pool and whirlpool. Very modern, impressive lobby with huge fish tank. Showers are walk in with a built in seat instead of a tub — loved that! I won a free stay but I know we’ll back again, even though we’re from the area. We love the quaint little town of LeClaire! Great weekend getaway right on the Mississippi!

I only stay in Holiday Inn Express… This hotel was fine in general. Room I expexted. We didn’t pay the extra money for the river view because it wasn’t that important for us since we just needed sleep… but we were unaware that if you didn’t have a Riverview room that you got a room next to the train tracks. The trains didn’t come hourly but the one at 0330 woke my 2 year old and that was pretty much the end of sleeping for all of us. Another came at about 0500. I won’t stay at this particular HIE again but will continue to by loyal to the brand. Ample parking but no access to the hotel from the back parking lot. Additionally, their Internet connection was fair at best. Free so I can’t complain but my son tried to watch a show on Netflix and it would lose connection every 2 – 3 minutes.

Great facility. Unforeseen car problems forced us to stay an extra day, and if it had to happen, this was a great place to stay. The staff are extra friendly, the facility is clean, and the room was very comfortable. The only problem was that the shower was very slippery. After using conditioner on my hair, the floor was like ice. I had to put a towel on the shower floor in order to stand. I’ve found similar problems at other hotels, but this was the worst. I’m not sure why slip-resistant tubs/showers aren’t standard safety features. But still, this is a great place to stay, and Le Claire is a nice little town.

This place was what we’ve come to expect from Holiday Inn Express — comfortable, clean, with respectable amenities. Other reviews have mentioned the train noise overnight, but no one in our party of three noticed it until late in the morning. Our rather large room faced the water, which was nice. Breakfast was standard, but with the disappointment of no cinnamon roles! Supposedly they’re waiting on an order of them. We would stay here again.

I am writing this from my room right now, and I have the McDonald’s view vs the river front view but visibility is almost zero anyway. If you are a light sleeper the train goes by about 50 times a night and it is loud. They have an elliptical machine a hot tub and pool. I used them all. Still snowing, now eating peanut butter and crackers for dinner. I wonder if i could get some place to deliver? Oh yeah, back to the hotel. room clean, tv and remote work. No complaints here.

I checked in and they gave me my room. When I got to my room, it was clean, but had black spots like mold or mildew all over the walls. I guess I can’t call it mold or mildew because I didn’t sent it to a lab to have it tested. I went to the front desk and told them. They gave me another room, 2 doors down from first. Same thing. Room clean but walls COVERED in small and large black spots. I stay in a lot of hotels, and have seen a little mold in rooms,(mostly in the bathrooms), but never this bad. I left. Oh the manager said«sorry».
