Mutti’s German Restaurant & American Food

Normally, hole in the wall restaurants like this get good reviews from my friends and I, but this isn’t entirely this case this time. The food wasn’t bad. It wasn’t quite authentic German food (what can you expect being in Oklahoma), but it was good. And though it came in large portions, it was kinda pricey. The main thing that put us off though was the poor service. I apologize if this was an isolated incident, but it’s the kind of thing wait staff needs to be mindful of. The very first thing out of out waitress’ mouth when she got to our table was a crude, sexist remark, and it made us all uncomfortable. I think she could sense our apprehension after she said it, cause she seemed to avoid our table the rest of the evening and tend to the only two other tables in the restaurant at that time. Then as we were leaving, she had the nerve to remind us to tip her nicely. I’m no perfect human being, but when you demand a good tip for less than adequate service, you’re lucky if you even get one from me at all.

We love German food, but is is so hard to find in the areas we have traveled. We saw this restaurant listed on Unilocal and it did not disappoint! The food was so good and just what we were looking for. We tried the bratwurst, sauerkraut, schnitzel and apple strusel and we would recommend all of it. The only regret we have is that we do not live close enough to make this a regular spot.

now I was a little apprehensive about trying this food, but a friend was like «we gots to try this», so I did. Let me say, I was very impressed. Kinda old school German beer hall look, nothing that fancy, but the food and the service was excellent. So were the selection of German and import beers. If you are a beer fan, I highly recommend. Only bottled, no draft, but still excellent selection (not large selection).

The seating is comfortable. The food is amazing. The portions are large. The beer is cold and many options. I love this place. Family friendly. Large table seating available. The cakes always taste perfect.

The other reviews in location were correct. It was between some warehouses, but thanks to the other reviews we had a heads up. The food was delicious! The beer was really good! The servers were nice! We loved it! Germany is my husbands favorite country to visit and he really liked this place. We came around 2 pm on a saturday. I’d love to see what this place is like at night.

Delicious! So happy there is a good German restaurant close enough to altus. It almost makes up for being away from Dallas

I have been to Mutti’s a few times it never fails the food was good and the staff was very friendly. Will be returning.

This was my first visit to a German restaurant. My husband wanted to visit here but the location scared me and I always made excuses for not wanting to try it.
I was amazed that the food was so good, I was turned off by the salad though. I’m not use to seeing cold green beans, cucumbers, and shredded lettuce in the same bowl as a vinegarette based dressing.
The Rahm Schnitzel was outstanding! Everything tastes great and the staff was so friendly. My nervousness drifted away very quickly.

Hubby had the sampler, really good. My 20month old actually enjoyed the frankfurts and spaetlz. I had the jäger schnitzel. Good prices and food was quick and delicious!

Legitimate German food and beer! Walked in and felt like I was in a German beer hall. Oktoberfest is 10 days away and this will do. The staff was speaking German to their guests and to us. Awesome. Got a sampler plate that was delicious– three wursts, schnitzel (perfectly cooked), home fries– yum, German potato salad (my favorite of all of it), leberkase, and sauerkraut (reg and red). Washed it down with a German wisen beer. Yes!!! What a surprise in Lawton, OK!
