For $ 11(includes 20% tip and drink of tea or coffee) it can’t be beat! Friday night’s and Sunday are my favorites because they have the BEST catfish fillets ever on those days! Friday also has chicken and dumplings like granny made… stewed squash and sweet potatoes, large limas, Mac n cheese, fried mushrooms and meatloaf are all delicious! I’m a regular on Friday night’s along with many others!

Visited 8÷8÷15. $ 7.95 w/drink This buffet location is under new management, apparently asian owned. If the got a few upgrades(bathrooms, carpet, deco) it would be over the top. It looks like this use to be an old Shoney’s. Some Food I sampled on this trip: Pot roast, carrots, potatoes, greens, corn and pinto beans. Corn was from a can, beans were cooked from scratch. rolls were from Sams, potato and macaroni salad(from Sams or Costco), deviled eggs from scratch. The peach cobbler was good. My best guess is about 25% of the food tasted like it was cooked up from scratch while the bulk of it was pre-made, prepped somewhere else. The salad bar was ok but maybe look at swapping out some condiments(chickpeas for beets;ect) Food was mildly seasoned and not overly salty or bland. Did not see any cockroaches as the past poster in 3⁄2015. The hot and cold bar was cleaned, wiped down often maintained often. Food tasted fresh and there was just enough people eating to keep the food turning. Desserts were so-so, banana pudding, hot peach cobbler. Service was excellent and the server never let the tea glass get empty. If your looking for something not fancy, cheap and filling, try it.

Let start out first by saying this place was a weekly spot for myself and my co-workers. We spent at least $ 100 a week getting breakfast and lunch from them since they opened. It was a great buffet until they decided to make some changes. Since I am the one that usually grabs our food, we’ve since stopped eating from this restaurant because of the poor customer service. I do not care how great the food or prices are, if the service sucks I will spend my money elsewhere. Slowly they’ve been making changes on how the customer is to make a to-go. Yes you read that correctly. Although the dine in and to-go plates are the same and you eat less getting it to-go they have been policing how customers place food in there. I work with men who enjoy tasting several different options so I get a little bit of everything for them. Never did we pile plates until they couldn’t close just merely get a good variety… I mean it is our money. Today was the final draw after I walked in to be ignored by management after asking for a tray. She then proceeded to point to the wall and rudely informed me I needed to read it before she gave me a tray. Not only was it rude but insulting. After spending so much of my money there I am appalled at how I was treated. Instead of being grateful for repeat customers you instead insult them by placing a empty to go tray and writing a diagram of where to place the food and what to put in it. Correct me if I am wrong, the average person eat 2 plates when they go to a buffet and a to-go is only one plate at the same price. I am actually saving you money by getting it to-go as I am consuming less than I would eating in. We would love to spend our lunch at a restaurant daily but since a lot of us need to be in the office at all times we like to grab it to go. I have decided to discontinue my spending at this establishment because they lack business acumen and proper customer service. My co-workers agree this is not a place where they intend to eat at anymore either. Eventually others will follow suit and maybe they will learn to better. Also hire more staff so customers do not have to wait 10 minutes to be served at the register.

Wonderful buffet! It is located across the street from Phoenix high school and right next to Papa John Pizza restaurant and Holiday Inn hotel. It’s a simple, buffet style, all you can eat home cooking excursion that’s hard to beat. I don’t eat a lot of meat any longer, so this had lots of veggie choices. I stuffed myself full of veggies but am not feeling guilty over it. Their coleslaw is the best – hard to find good coleslaw like that! They have breakfast, lunch and dinner at a good value for home cooking food. The menu changes from day to day but you can definitely find fried chicken there everyday. I usually stick with the vegetables and fruits. They always have multiple entrees and vegetable options, soup and salad bar and multiple desert options. I have to say they have great fruit choices. The pineapple, watermellon and orange, grape and cantalope was fresh. Restaurant looked clean and has a health score of 100. There is also a separate private dining room if you would like to have a party there. Hope the management keeps it up with the quality of the food. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. They try their best to keep the drinks filled at all times. I would still go back after being there many times. Sundays are usually very crowded. It is best to get there before the church crowds get in at noon. There are ample parking and they accept credit cards and cash. Be sure to come hungry the next time you are here. I will most likely see you there. Unilocal # 84
