Steak ‘n Shake

Love the food but the wait for the drive through is so incredibly long. Been here for 30+ minutes it’s ridiculous. Writing the review while sitting and waiting.

For the 3^rd time. My wife and I wanted to try and make a to go order over the phone. But just like the last 2 times, after driving 15 minutes away with someone «confirming» our order, my wife was told «there is no to go order.» We do not recommend making any to go orders, whether it be online or over the phone, they will act as if you are crazy for wanting to take some food home to eat and do their best to make you look like an idiot.
The night crew is very unprofessional and unorganized! Please do not waste your time like we have done too many times.

This is probably the longest wait I have ever had in a drive through. The voice on the speaker box was not friendly, and seemed annoyed when I placed my order.

I came here after a very very long time. Price, food quality and service… everything was awesome. I ordered a crispy spicy Chicken sandwich with fries and a side of their Classic hot dog. I loved everything. Definitely will come more frequently

I would say much better than IHOP nearby, as these 2 are ²⁴⁄₇.

I’m purely writing this review for a server Daniel, he puts up with so much from his costumers and does it with a smile.

You’re one of the sweetest servers I have personally ever had at any restaurant and I have been to many 5 star restaurants. You deserve a huge raise for sure for all of your hard work!

We frequent here when I don’t feel like cooking. The kiddos like it a lot too. Decent waitstaff. Food is always good. I’ve never seen it really slow in there, so they do a decent job of keeping it clean.

Came here to order some kids meals and a onion ring for myself. I had to wait like 15 minutes no big deal, I expect that for fresh food. Get to the window and pay, no onion rings. I inform the lady that my onion ring wasn’t in the bag. She asked for my receipt but it wasn’t in the bag. In my opinion if you make a mistake you pay not worry about a receipt that you didn’t give me. So they inform me that clearly I didn’t pay. All of this for a 2.00 onion ring?! I inform them that I would leave a negative review. They still take my payment and give me dirty looks. When I get my onion ring to my surprise it was a mess! Looks like they destroyed them with their hands and the food was over the top greasy. I didn’t eat it. Disrespectful and dirty. I won’t be back. Hope 2.00 was worth this review.

Worst burger joint! ! Got sick last time we ate here but decided to give it a second try… worst mistake! I felt my stomach bubbling as soon as I finished the nasty ass burger that I got from the drive Tru where the guy tried giving me 3 drinks with nothing to hold them with, makes sense I think that if you see a lone driver u give him some type of tray but after I asked for a tray to which he responded with an attitude as if I was doing something wrong! Got my food and normally you get the usual thank you he handed the food closed the window and never looked back! RUDE! Have complained to the managers before obviously it will never be resolved fuck this place you’re better off going to burger King n not deal with idiots

Triple cheeseburger n fries, and double cheeseburger n fries. Burgers were hot and fresh wait time was average. Fries were very cold. I wish they took as much pride in their sides as they do the burgers

Went to the Morrow location it was packed to the front and back so in ordered the Foot long Chilli Cheese no onions, two garlic chilli hamburgers no onions with Salt and Vinegar on the fries.
Food was good but I think I ordered too much food I had given a Burger away to my younger brother to destroy.

Horrible service this morning. I was the only person there and had called in a to go order. They hadn’t even started it when I arrived 15 minutes later when they had told me it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. There was trash littering the dining area and there was a large pile of trash in the kitchen area that they were just stepping over. Three employees working, empty restaurant, and yet it looked like that! They messed up the order a few times. I asked for no pico and no bread and yet, they wanted to give both. Then the cook tried to give me the CALIFORNIA skillet without avocado. No one spoke when I entered and there was no real apology for all the mistakes either. I’ve never had this problem with this location. They have an 88. Poor customer service and poor food presentation makes for a poor review on Unilocal

Food was good until I found a hair in my cheese dip. Ordered a salted caramel pretzel milkshake got a turtle instead husband oredered seasoned gets with his meal the came with mine instead. Service was ok just suck and getting our order right

This steak and shake is world’s all time worst restaurant ever. They’re service is awful. They’re restaurant is disgusting, bathrooms and everything. I have been sitting here for almost 2 hours waiting for 2 milkshakes and im just now getting my food. Would not go back. Would not recommend it either. Don’t even bother looking back in there in the kitchen, you will walk right out.

WORST DRIVE THRU EXPERIENCE EVER!
I waited 15 minuets at 3:45pm on a rainy Saturday afternoon for a shake. When I arrived at the window with money in hand ready to pay the «customer service» person was tying to hand my my drink instead. Ok, — I set my money down and the drink is being handed over in such a way that i have to grab near the top. The top is poorly designed and loose and pops off causing the first half in of the shake to go all over my hands and steering wheel. Shake is all over my hands and the wheel and she disappears and returns with a few napkins. I am trying to figure out a way to pay and just GET OUT of there, and I finally maneuvers the mess so that I can exchange the money. A different person now arrives at the window and in a short tone is trying to get my money. No mind, you I have yet to say a word and while I may not have had the most cheerful expression my demeanor in no way was indicative of the frustration I was feeling. I asked for a water (to help clean the mess that a handful of napkins was not going to solve. The testy woman retrieved one and handed to me with a straw as though oblivious to the shake spatter about my shirt and steering wheel. I pull forward and as I deplete my stash of emergency napkins trying to clean up enough to drive away I’m thinking WHY– Why didn’t they take my money first, no wonder the drive through took so long. Why didn’t they take the cup back and transfer the shake in to a clean container? Why didn’t they even apologize? Add, EWWWW –Why is there a dirty piece of cardboard in my water cup. I am so glad that I wasn’t drinking it. They did when I ordered and had been waiting forever for no good reason. After about a mile down the road, I decided why not try the $ 4 mistake and I reached down at the middle of the cup, but before I could get the straw to my lips; the top popped off again and it caused me to hit the center console with the cup which toppled onto the floor mat of the passengers side. I had to stop at a gas station and in the rain scrape the floor mat into a dumpster. With no hose in sight I used the rest of the water rinse my hands and drove to work. I am still going to have to deal with the floor mat sooner or later. I know that my pain might amuse, I know that if I read this and it did not happen to me I would smile. But most importantly I hope it will encourage you to TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. There are literally dozens of places within 2 – 3 minutes of this location to get nearly anything that they might offer. It is NOT worth it. If you do go and get burned, do not say you were not warned.

You can’t beat for its price! I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries for $ 4.99. My sister had the double burger with fries for $ 3.99. And the thing is we both finished almost everything. Usually I can only finish half a sandwich but it was so delicious and the thin fries are so addicting. You can never stop. We ordered the one with seasoning on it. We both shared the Caramel milkshake which was good too, a little too sweet for me though.

This is my go to place when I’m craving a tasty hamburger and milkshake on a budget… Food is always cooked to order and customer service is a hit and miss. I normally go through the drive-​thru so I can’t really speak on the inside of the restaurant.

Very friendly staff. Very busy, but did not have to wait at all. Convenient location. Best fries and shakes.

I haven’t been to steak in shake since I was 16, now we know why.
I think the worst service award of the year goes to this one girl who served us at this location. Our water took 20 minutes. hahaha is that a joke?
Then we smelled weed, look, I get it. Smoke it out, I don’t care, just give me my damn food.
It took 1 hour for our burgers to come out. never. ever. again.

This location stays busy, being across the movie theater as well would add to the large groups dining or waiting in the drive through line.
Service:
Our server Daniel was great. We informed him that we had a movie in the next 45 mins and he had no problem bringing out our check calculated when our food came out. He even had a great attitude as some of our guests ordered additional items and recalculated the bill. I think he made the usual «Meh» experience and wait times better.
Food Highlights:
Still the same as usual, not bad nor great. Still good for what it is.
Total Bill w/​Tip & Tax:
Great deals for the $ 4 menu items for a burger and fries.
Summary:
Wait times might vary depending on the weekends. Just don’t expect more like you’re royalty when the lot is full and the drive through line is wrapped around the building and you have to wait.
