If I could give this salon a negative 5 stars, I would. What started out with a groupon purchase over a year ago, I was at first pleased with the décor and cleanliness of the salon, but not impressed with the attitude of the staff. With that being said, the stylist Natasha did a good job so I decided to continue going to the salon even though I live in midtown and the salon is in Lawrenceville. At this point all was okay so I referred my daughter there. Over the course of my time at the salon, I have gone through 3 stylists as they keep quitting, the aesthetician left, as well as the masseuse, and their make-up artist. During my last visit, Chelsea did my hair and cut my bangs so short(and I mean real short — like they were only an inch or so long) and when I said I thought they were too short her response was simply«sorry.» I have been hesitant to go back to the salon, but now I am definitely NOT going back. My daughter had her hair done by Chelsea on Saturday and took a picture with her of Whitney Carson from dancing with the stars and said she would like that color. Bottom line is her hair looks nothing like the picture. It is platinum and black streaks. The salon is currently trying to fix it but it’s been an ordeal. My advice is stay clear of this salon!

the salon itself may look nice, but absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. DO. NOT. GOHERE! got an updo and brought two pictures, but my hair looked like something from the 90s. the manager, katie is rude and does NOT put the customer first. save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere.

My experience was lovely. As my first visit, I used a Groupon to try it out. The salon has a very nice atmosphere. I would recommend this place for any and all hair services and hair types: cut, color, press etc. The stylists are highly skilled and personable. Kendall did my cut and color and he made me feel he was very engaged in the analysis and execution of the styling goal we were going for. I think for the price point that they are very good. This will not be a budget cut place for me but one I can trust. There are little fluff goodies such as coffee and cookies to enjoy while you wait or process. However, as a higher end salon, I think they could upgrade this service just a teensy bit(e.g. upgrade the beverages to include soda etc and serve it in a little(disposable) wine glass and definitely offer to bring it to you). My compliments on the marketing plan though. This is a well run business.

They do a good job, but charge you extra for everything!!! They even charge $ 25.00 to blow dry your hair after you get color done. While I was happy with the color, I am happy most of the time when I leave the salon. So, nothing special. Way too expensive when they get done adding all the extras. I won’t be going back.

I decided to try this salon out because they had a Groupon. I got the cut, style & highlights. This place was beautiful. The stylist did a great job. They knew when I made my appointment and when I came in and spoke to the receptionist, that I was using the Groupon. I spoke with the stylist about what I wanted with my hair and also referred to the Groupon. OK so the stylist decided to use a toner on my hair while she was washing it and not tell me that that was what she was doing nor did she tell me that it was 25 bucks. As I was checking out, the receptionist asked for a higher price than the Groupon. I told her I was using the Groupon and she told me that the stylist should have told me it cost more but I still had to pay for the toner. I told her I was only paying for the services I asked for and not what the stylist decided to do on her own. I had to cause a stink before she just let me pay for the Groupon price. So as for the service done to my hair, they did a great job. The place was nice, inviting and comfortable. But as for the business and money aspect, they are horrible. It doesn’t matter how good they do your hair, if you get hassled as you walk out the door. Work on your customer service!

Just from my phone experience with this salon today, I would never go or recommend this salon. Kennedy was great, but then Veronica and the Salon Manager, who didn’t state her name of course. Joseph may need to invest in a couple phone etiquette classes for Veronica and his manager and how to speak to potential $$$ paying customers…

I purchased a groupon for cut and condition. As soon I got there they asked me to pull up my groupon. Unfortunately during my drive from the house to the salon the Groupon site went down and I wasn’t able to pull up my voucher. The girls at the reception were adamant about showing them the voucher and redeeming it before they could start my cut which was ridiculous! I had the email showing the purchase and I suggested that maybe the site will be back up by the time they’re done or I could call back with the voucher#. But they would not budge. Then they said I pay them the amount I paid for the groupon and get my services done. They demanded I pay upfront! When do you pay upfront for salon services? Just because I purchased a groupon that doesn’t mean I was going to jet off right after my haircut! I thought the promotion was to build their customer base. Not treat them with no respect. Anyways, after wasting 30mins I headed back home with NO cut and a bad experience just to find Groupon back up and running! Only if they had been a little more accommodating with the voucher redemption! Thanks to groupon I got my full refund and will NOT be going back to this rude place!

I went to Joseph’s with a Groupon for highlights. I have naturally blond hair that gets a little dark in winter so I wanted something lighter until summer. I was amazed what Kat did with my hair. It matched my blond exactly and looks so natural and she did it without using bleach. You can bet I will definitely be back!

I went to Joseph’s with a Groupon for the $ 55 cut and style and full highlights. The young lady at reception was really friendly. The salon is pretty, the décor is just perfect. My stylist was Kat. And she was great! When I got there, she asked me about the cut and color that I wanted– I told her that I don’t like a hair style that takes a lot of «getting ready time» and told her basically what I wanted. And she did exactly what I wanted. In fact, better. I have never had a cut that all I have to do is use the hair dryer to style my hair with, but I have one now. And as far as my color goes(full highlights) — I love it!!! I will definitely be going back to Joseph’s.

I too nabbed a Groupon to try out Joseph’s Salon, $ 25 for haircut/deep conditioning. The young woman making appointments was so gracious, and scheduled an appointment for me with Chelsea. I hesitantly mentioned that I wanted to donate my hair to Locks of Love and was reassured that ALL the stylists at Joseph’s knew what needed to be done to deliver the hair to that organization. Today(Tuesday) I arrived at noon and was promptly delivered into Chelsea’s talented hands. Words aren’t sufficient to describe how HAPPY I am with my new haircut. And the conditioning treatment left my middle age dry hair feeling soft like when I was 20 something. The salon is immaculately clean and the lighting is spot on, not too dim, not too bright. Altogether, a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

I took advantage of a Groupon they had for a cut, style and full highlights for $ 55. I my stylist was Natasha, who was amazing. Very personable and friendly. I love the cut she gave me. It’s a little short than I would have like but I think it really complements my face. I told her I wanted tons of blond around my face and she delivered. She did an amazing job. I also was impressed with the décor, everything was up to date and stylish.

I went to Joseph’s with a groupon for a cut and style with my mother-in-law. Stephanie took great care if us. I wasn’t sure what I wanted, but Stephanie used her excellent judgement and left me with a style that was new and exciting without being too jarring. She gave me tips on styling the new look, and I’ve received so many compliments since. I definitely intend to return. I live in Atlanta, but I haven’t found service this good in any of the salons in midtown or east Atlanta. I’m willing to drive the 40 miles just for the excellent atmosphere and attention!

I went to Joseph’s today and really enjoyed the experience. I started the pampering with a great massage. After my massage, I had a bergamot peel and I am very pleased with the results. It’s not an irritating peel and my skin does look more clear and«bright.» I then had a «buff and polish» on my nails(not a full mani/pedi, but a nice treatment) and enjoyed the personality of the nail tech as well as the final product — nicely shaped nails and soft feet. Finally, I had a wash and blowdry — the hairdresser did a great job straightening my course hair. My friends also had great experiences — there were four of us and I found this salon to be great for a «girl’s day» at the spa. There are treatments to suit everyone’s tastes. Overall, a very relaxing afternoon, in an upscale, professional salon. The salon itself looks great, is very clean and parking is super easy. I plan to go again. I drove from Atlanta, and while it was far for me, it was well worth the trip.
