I’ll go ahead an openly admit here that I find overly-hippy-ness annoying(believing all non-local-organic-food = «toxic», for instance), so that may slant your overall opinion of my review, but… The bread on that foccaccia sandwich was AMAZING. So soft and warm and good. The insides of the sandwich were good too, and it came with chips and I ordered a side of the roasted potatoes. My friend liked her stew as well. Then, dessert: I got a rose-chocolate scone and my friend the banana-nut cake. I’m not a fan of banana-nut, but even still I could tell this was good cake. And the icing was unforgettable. My scone tasted fine, but it was kind of comically disappointing. I don’t think prices were listed for the desserts, so thank GOODNESS it was only $ 0.75 – I almost laughed when I saw the size of it.(seriously. I’ll try to upload a picture later. It was the size of a girl-scout cookie.) We also got coffee and hot-tea, which was adequate. The food was a solid 4.5−5 stars. The experience, and a few other things, were more like 3-star: 1. The aforementioned«hippyness». I’m not saying you can’t be hippies. I promise. But there’s a LOOOONG«prologue» in the menu about where they source their food(again, that’s fine…) but also about how it’s silly we even call food«organic» or «non-GMO» by those names, and that really we should call that«food» and all the other food«toxic food» or something ridiculous like that. Personal and petty, I know, but I’m mentioning it. :-P 2. Also in the prologue, they talked about how real food is made-to-order and takes a long time(again, this is true) — but it kind of makes you worry… Our food *did* take a long time and for sandwich and a stew(things that are probably already ready or prepped), that doesn’t make sense. Still, that wasn’t the problem: it took forever just to get acknowledged by a waiter. 3. As we waited up front after our hostess told us it would be a few minutes, another friendly lady walked confidently up to us and started with«Hello ladies…». My friend even interjected with«table for two, please – » before the lady could continue to tell us that she actually didn’t work there, but was selling Essential Oils in the back and so-on-and-so-forth and to please stop by her table before we left and free sample and… I’m sorry. That’s totally inappropriate to be accosted by an MLM while you’re standing in a private restaurant waiting to be seated(or at any time in the restaurant process). I’m not even totally hating on the lady, because it was seemingly done with the restaurant’s approval. 4. I’m all for«natural» cleaners(I guess…) but the *overwhelming* smell of pure vinegar as they wiped down the table next to us is a little unappetizing as you eat. Water it down(or maybe mix it with some essential oils???) 5. The waiter was nice but seemed just a little untrained(as is my experience with hippyish places… GOSHDIANASTOPBEINGSOMEAN…). Just a bit slow overall, and took a long time to bring us dessert(he admitted he forgot about it), forgot to bring a spoon or creamer with the coffee. In his defense it was busy at the time. - Despite my desire to wax poetic about all my personal kerfufflisms… the food was a sweet little surprise in the cute town square of Lawrenceburg. I was visiting with a local friend but I’d never been in the area(it was her first time to the restaurant, too). The food was was really good, I just would try a different dessert next time. I really would recommend this place to others and come back if I’m ever in the area. I’d recommend going at a not-peak time as the tables and dining room is small. Don’t expect the food to be «cheap», but it does seem genuine, freshly made, unique, and tasty enough to be worth the price.

I ordered an Americano and I was not disappointed in the coffee. The next time I am back in the area I will be stopping here to eat.

Wow, incredible fresh ingredients. Ate there two days in a row. Soups are fabulous, corn chowder and roasted cauliflower and salads and sandwiches are great too. Mango iced tea is perfect, not too sweet. Save room for dessert, all homemade, would make grandma proud. Will be back.

Great food. Fresh and all nature. Probably the best desserts I’ve ever had. Will for sure come back next time I’m around here.

My daughter and I decided to try this place out for a late lunch on a Tuesday around 2:30pm. Immediately greeted by a sweet lady as soon as we walked in. We loved the atmosphere! The walls are lined with jars of loose spices and teas, each clearly marked with their prices per ounce or pound depending on what it was. There were several shelves full of various kitchen and tea related items for sale, all in adorably set up vingettes. This place is right on the square downtown so it still has the great old hardwood floors and the high antique tin covered ceiling. There is an old time counter in the back where they display homebaked breads and such along with the cash register. There are several table and chairs set up with a couple of large ones in the middle for about six and the rest for 2 or 3. Even at this time it was still fairly busy but not crowded. We were informed of the day’s special, pizza grits and given the menu. There are several sandwich, salad, and soup options including one to get a half sandwich with some soup and chips as well as whole sandwich options. The menu seemed large at first until I realized the last several pages were lists of the various teas and spices for sale. The prices are a little higher than what you might expect for soup and sandwiches in such a small town and and out of the way location but it all sounded very appetizing. The grits sounded good but seemed a bit pricey at $ 9 an order so we instead opted to split a turkey sandwich. The waitress had told us it was quite large so we figured half would do and it came with chips as well. The waitress had it put on two plates for us, very nice. It really wasn’t large at all though and I ended up wishing we had each ordered a whole one. It was $ 6 for a sandwich and chips. The sandwich was absolutely amazing and I would even say it was the best cold sandwich I’ve ever gotten in a restaurant! It was turkey, served with yogurt jack cheese and apple slices on homemade foccacia bread. The bread was divine, some of the best I’ve tasted. They offer the bread at $ 7 for a rather small flat loaf. If it had been cheaper, even five bucks, I would have taken some home. The chips were just standard bagged chips. We got water with lemon to drink and it was served in adorable blue mason jars with a side dish of nice fat lemon wedges, not the thin slices you seem to always get nowadays. The service was terrific. I really enjoyed the food and even at what I think is a higher price for a sandwich, I can’t wait to bring my husband here to enjoy some more!

We stopped in for lunch on Saturday at 1pm. We had to wait about 20 minutes, that’s how busy they were! And for good reason! The word is getting out that Bliss is blissfully delish!!! We had the cheese plate and a soup and sandwich. The soup was green chilie corn chowder and, oh my goodness, it was amazing!!! The sandwich was the chicken salad and, well, ditto!!! The blueberry tea was refreshing and the chocolate cake was perfect! Wonderful, homemade food with a friendly service!!! Will come again as often as possible!!!
