The Yoga Center of Lawrence is the best! The teachers are so well-​qualified and constantly bringing in new ideas from around the Iyengar world. The only place in the area where teachers have trained in India with departed Mr. Iyengar. The studio is always clean and well-​equipped. You can attend any class for make-​ups. So there is a lot of schedule flexibility.
The studio also has a lot of special sessions with local and outside instructors. People from all over the Midwest come for those. This studio is truly a gem in the region.

Love this yoga studio!
Teachers are passionate and attentive, and take the time to adjust each student to receive the full healthful benefits of the poses. Classes are 90 minutes but the benefits last for days! Different levels of classes for everyone from beginners to lifetime practitioners, it’s the best place in Lawrence to practice Iyengar yoga!

I am thoroughly impressed with the Yoga Center. As one of the only certified Iyengar yoga studios in Kansas, I feel right at home. The studio is equipped with every prop you could think of, including mats, blankets, blocks, straps and metal chairs. My instructor is sweet as can be, and she listens to your individual needs – shifting poses so they’ll be more comfortable, or adjusting your pose as you go along. The classes are for an hour and half, perfectly balanced between active and less active poses.
I feel so good after class, I recommend yoga for everyone!
