If I could give them 20 stars I would.
I’ve probably had over 200 massages here in the past 20 years and my experience even dates back to the original location down the street. Not sure what the formula is but I think it’s the long-time employees who make sure they’re always surrounding themselves with the best talent. If you ask most people in Lawrence where the go-to place for a great massage is, they’ll name Southwind.
An hour or more spent here is the ultimate recipe for treating yourself well and for folks like me that pound keyboards for a living and like to get a lot of strenuous exercise, boy, they are the prescription for staying healthy. It’s with my highest recommendation that I tell you this place absolutely rocks and has for years. Of all the places I’ve ever given 5 stars to, this would have to be about tops.

For Cecilia at Southwind:
I’ve told you before, and I’ll say it to everyone who reads this: you are a miracle worker. This woman has taken horrible, chronic, whole-body pain and left a relaxed and smiling me in its place. She has an incredibly calming, soothing presence and voice. Her pressure is just right and she understands SO much about bodies and the mind/body connection, as well as Eastern medicine. She is talented, humble, gracious, amazing.
She honestly has changed my quality of life for the better in a big way!
The building is also calming and cozy, and the idea of the collective is brilliant. Lawrence supports local business, and this collective is a great example of that. I write here about Cecilia because she is the only person I’ve seen there, but I would not be at all surprised if they are all capable and competent at their trade.
