Okay, so let me let you in on a little secret, half if the stalls here are owned by one family. They sell knockoff purses, clutches, sunglasses, and cell phone cases. They branding is all pretty okay, but the quality is really low. I was interested to buy a pair of sunglasses, but I had two sets of them break in my hands when I was investigating the quality of the hinges. The hinges are spray painted to match the the body, making them sticky and leading to them falling apart. No one here will negotiate. That’s probably my biggest letdown. How can this be a flea market if they aren’t flexible on their prices at all? One guy was selling used records for $ 15+ when you can get the same records at goodwill for $ 1(where he probably got them, as I saw a number of thrift store stickers still on them). My suggestion? Come here to buy knockoffs you only plan to wear once, and don’t buy anything else!

Just junk. if you need a plastic knockoff purse or sunglasses you are ok. You would be better off going to the Dollar store.

Dollar admission. Recently busted by Homeland Security for counterfeit bags etc, so many empty tables. I snapped a few pics for Unilocal, got some unwelcome bird dogging. I did not see any illegal goods nor was I there to do so. I take pics to prove I was really there, is all. Did buy Grandma a NOT knock off new Pockie, $ 25. GPS was all f****** up by trying to find this. Lawrence has a «North Canal», a body of water, and a rather long«Canal Street», but this here establishment is on the obscure stub«North Canal Street». Vendors were an interesting mix of what seemed to be hispanics and Asians, what a melting pot.

I live in the MV but did not know about this place until a relative who lives on the south shore asked me to pick up a pair of imitation Ugg slippers for her. She told me they were around $ 22. I dragged my husband along and we set out to find this place. If not for the 100+ cars parked behind the old mill that houses the flea market, i would not have ventured into the building, there’s a single door that doesn’t allow you to see in before entering. But must admit, once we entered I was intrigued — it’s run down and the whole environmrent is best described as a bit raw… but, I saw the Uggs and picked up a pair of slippers for $ 25 and a pair of boots for $ 40. I was wearing real Ugg boots and my husband couldn’t tell the difference between the two. They even come in boxes that are labeled with the Ugg name. Not bad for knock-offs. We walked through and saw that every-other booth was peddling North Face or Ugg items. The jackets were excellent imitations. Saw some cabbage patch dolls — not good knock-offs, creepy looking. Lots of Michael Kors, Louis Vitton, some Coach and Kate Spade. Like I said, didn’t buy anything else but would likely return in the spring and maybe pick up a bag or two. Not a place I would visit often but some of the imitations were good looking fakes, some were not. There were Beats by Dre headphones — plastic looking but at $ 20, I’m sure some kids wouldn’t even care about the quality of the sound but would be happy to have the label over their ears. Saw a few pieces of furniture, but the bulk of merchandise for sale includes bags, jewelry, sunglasses, scarves, jackets(North Face). There were few pieces of old furniture and some DVDs, marijuana pipes, swords, and an incense booth. We cruised through the entire place in about 20 minutes, despite the crowd.

I have been living in MA for several years and this was the first flea market I visited in the area. A friend suggested this trip because she is searching for inexpensive, antique looking jewelry to incorporate into her wedding theme. I did some research and suggested the flea market in Lawrence, since it is open Saturdays as well as Sundays. We met for lunch in Methuen, which is a bit of a drive for each of us, and then made our way to Lawrence. The flea market building was relatively easy to find based on the pictures posted on their website. There was a dollar entrance fee, which I sincerely hope goes toward a worthy case. The flea market was a huge disappointment and not at all what we expected. Aside from a handful of unique booths(if you consider incense and beanie babies unique), the whole building was covered in knockoff purses, cheap jewelry, and random electronic devices. Not sure who thought a sane person would pay $ 2 for a VHS tape, but those items were alive and well. We walked around every booth at least twice, but left empty handed. Even if I wanted to buy a fake Coach wallet for $ 5, how could anyone deal with an inside zipper that doesn’t open or close?! I hope to see what else the New England flea market scene has to offer. For someone who drove out of their way, the Lawrence flea market was a waste of time. Hopefully there are better days ahead because it can be a great experience.

I checked out the Lawrence Flea Market today. It’s at the corner of Broadway and Canal Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts. There are two entrances: one in the side of the building near the large parking lot, and one in the end of the building near Broadway. It was great to see some familiar faces from Derry, such as George, Dave’s Incense, Bob’s 420 Shop and Coins and More. In the back of the flea market, I found a BB gun shooting range. I also found the Three Stooges, Beanie Babies, bead bracelets, shoes, computer repair, furniture, televisions and even fish. I took lots of pictures. They are on .
