IHOP

I decided to begin my daughter’s birthday by treating her to breakfast. We get to the Laurel IHOP at around 7 a.m., and it is empty save 2 booths. The hostess sits us down.
We wait 8 minutes and the waitress comes by. She asks us if we want coffee we say no, just juice and water. She leaves.
We wait 15 minutes and I get up to ask for the waitress. They find her in the kitchen and she comes back to us and takes our order.
WE WAIT ANOTHER 20 MINUTES. Why? Because we were having a nice discussion about family issues, and we were discussing about what we were going to do the rest of her special day, etc.
After all the waiting — I am furious and ask the waitress I flagged down from the patrons behind us if she could get our waitress to come to our table. No cigar. We wait more…
We get up and see her exit the kitchen and ask where our food is? She says she is sorry she forgot and had just put our order in.
We walked out.
This particular IHOP has always (the last 13 years) had problems with their waitstaff and I have simply shrugged it off, but now I know I will not return to this location again after this incident. When they did employ good waitstaff they would not last long.

The only two people actually working was a younger man and an older man while the «waitresses» talked about Snapchat and just laughed, very unprofessional but the food is decent. Those two need a raise or a new job that doesn’t involve a bunch of hens.

The food was excellent and prepared the right way.

I’ve been to this Ihop about 5 – 6 times over the last five years that I’ve been visiting my friends in Laurel. I don’t think I’ve been t any other branch on my visits to America, but I may have done.
This is a slightly old fashioned feeling venue which looks like it could do with some colour. The staff are always polite and friendly, especially when I take so long to choose what I’m eating.
I normally go for a combo meal of some sort. either pancakes or brioche toast. Both times on this trip I had Brioche toast with Sausage, Scrambled Eggs and Hash brown.
I’m not sure why this I-​Hop has such a low score on Unilocal.I can only assume that those who have reviewed have had much better experiences in the area or at other I-​Hop branches.
Anyway its nice for a weekend treat and not too busy as a branch.

Manager doesn’t know what he is doing at this location. Just walks around and watches the staff and people. Staff is very slow and inefficient. My scrambled eggs came out mushy and gross. I didn’t even want to see what the second attempt would come out like so I declined a rerun. They put my pancakes on such a small plate when I poured syrup onto the plate it rolled out onto the table.

Worst service I’ve ever seen at any restaurant, not just IHOP… not only did they take forever to take our order, but they completely butchered our orders… I like IHOP because they serve breakfast all day but I would not return to this location if it were the last IHOP on earth.

I ordered the stuffed French toast with strawberries and a mushroom spinach omelet. The omelet was OK but the French toast was hard and dry. It had poor appearance as it looked like a tampon. I called to talk to a manager and they hung up the phone. I would never order that from here again nor will I ever go here again.

It’s just IHOP… but the food hit the spot… and service was great. Courtney… our waitress was delightful and attentive.

This was my worst experience at Ihop ever! My hash browns were burnt, and the service was slow! We were so thirsty at one point that we had to get up and go look for a waiter to get out refills! The waitress was borderline rude to us and just never around! Definitely not going back!

I got milk at this I hop, and I drank less than a fourth of the glass and threw up later. So therefore, they have bad milk and I will never be going to this I hop ever again. Thanks for a bad breakfast

Our server, Courtney was courteous and professional. She did an excellent job. It was the manager who was unprofessional. First of all he kept hovering over the shoulders of his employees, micromanaging the tasks of their job.
I found his behaviour repulsive and distracting. He kept nitpicking and berating the servers. Criticizing their every move within ear shot of the customers. Its one thing to criticize your charges, its another thing when you do so in a belittling manner. He needs to work on being more respectful to the employees.
Not only was he annoying but he himself needed some critiquing. His shirt buttons were undone and he was sweaty. I never saw him wash his hands and he was handling food and going to different tables. I wish I remembered his name but he was acting the same way when I visited the same location in January.

I was craving their pancakes yesterday morning so I decided to order take out… when I get home the pancakes where burnt. so burnt… they smelled burnt… I tried calling them but the line was busy. .smh how does I hop mess up pancakes .smh

I like this location, never had any bad experience. The place is clean and food taste the same.

Foods always pretty good but if you decide to go an hour or two before closing time then they will be really act like your the biggest pest of all time and not treat you like paying customer. When I went in at 1:30am on a Saturday (when they don’t close till 3) the man that worked there started shaking his head at us with disgust and began to look down at his watch over and over. Smh I wouldn’t go back if it wasn’t for the prices & the peach topping !!

I normally come in on slow nights and get served promptly and the service is good. Today my wife and I went in on a Sunday afternoon and it was a packed house. We were very impressed with the service and how fast we received our food even on a busy day.

Not enough seating for the waiting room.
We sat outside in the cold. I heard them use the intercom when we got there but didn’t when it came time to call us…
The food… not impressed.
My fried chicken was okay. They say 4 pieces of chicken I got 3 pieces and a tiny wing that had literally no meat on it… literally.
The mashed potatoes were not buttery, salty, or anything they should have been. They tasted like powdery instant potatoes.
The corn had decent flavor. But was overcooked and a little mushy. Not really good corn.
My girl got the steak tips dinner. Same problems.
The steak tips were very dry.
They didn’t have any soup ready. So we got stuck with fries. Fries I didn’t get till I finished eating. They were too hot and not salty or flavorful whatsoever.
Service was decent, our waiter did a good job.
Not good enough to make up for the food.
Next time I’m there I won’t be getting dinner food. Hopefully breakfast is better.

Aah IHOP, you treat me so well. The coffee is hot. One star. The service is impersonal and relatively rude, no star. The food came out pretty fast, one star. My sausage looked like a diseased turd, minus one star. Eggs over easy and already cold, still had uncooked white on the OUTSIDE, negative one star. Server brings one replacement sausage, also cold. Minus one star. Waitress misplaces my debit card. Minus one star. Giving me a sorta discount by changing my $ 7.99 two eggs easy breakfast no toast to a $ 4.99 weekday classic, one star. Tally up the totals: three stars up and four stars down. What? Unilocal doesn’t give negative stars? Oh well. That’s what I get for eating at IHOP.

Come on guys; it’s a Ihop for heavens sake and it’s amazing. We’ve always had wonderful service here — prompt and efficient. The hubby drinks so much and we rarely ever have to ask for a refill. Whatever we ask for we always get. We LOVE the choc chip pancakes, bacon, eggs cooked the way we likem’, fried chicken, club sandwiches, hash browns — it’s all good. We can barely get up, our tummies are so full. I’m usually called «honey,» and the hubby and kid are fondly called «sweetie.» I don’t mind it though. Day, night, weekend or week day — service is friendly and food is good.

It’s not the best IHOP I have been to, but the proximity from work works for me. I learn not to skip breakfast. I still IHOP it.

Hmmm… IHOP, why does this location open at 7AM? Had our monthly office breakfast meeting here last Friday and I must say, we will not be coming back to this location.
As we sat waiting for drinks and our food, 2 small roaches ran across our tables. The server saw it and really had nothing much to say.
Worst tasting IHOP i ever had. My hashbrowns were warm to coldish, which sucked. Pretty much the roaches, subpar food, ok service reflects the rating!
