Food was disgusting. Everything was cold, staff were rude. It was a party of 30 people and we told the front to walk the people part of our party as they arrive, they told us okay. As our party was arriving I saw they were looking confused as to where to go to so therefore no one walked our guest back which is very unprofessional. This is the worst buffet ever and on top of that me and another customer almost fell on our a** because they decided to mop as people were still getting food. Oh and this is the icing on the cake, have you ever seen people at a buffet that work there take all the food and eat while customers are still there eating and trying to select the foods they want? I understand if the place was closed and they decided to eat what was left but we were still eating and other people were too soooo unprofessional I even posted two pictures of them eating. WHATEVERYOUDOAVOIDTHISPLACEASMUCHASPOSSIBLE !! YUCK ! If I could give 0 stars I would !

This place is mediocre, nothing special but the price is really good for an all you can eat buffet. The food is whatever.

Located in an uninviting shopping center in Laurel, this place should come with a sign out front«Prepare to play football to get your food.» I felt out of sorts while taking my time looking at what was available to eat. People were literally pushing their way through to get to the food. You gotta be quick, reminds of the saying«First come, first serve.» I personally don’t like being rushed with making my selections. Here, it seems as though people have completely lost their manners and haven’t eaten in a month. On top of that, the quality of the food was mediocre at best. Service was good, drinks were always refilled in a timely manner. Can’t say that I would go out of my way to come here again!

First time here a couple weeks ago with friends, pleasantly surprised! I stay away from most buffets due to cleanliness, lack of variety and/or sometimes being too crowded for my comfort. This place offers a nice variety of Asian, sushi, and traditional American buffet food. My shrimp tempura was delicious! The place was clean, not even crowded for a Sunday brunch time. The waitress was attentive, but don’t expect a lot of chit chat or forced smiles here. They simply do their job, refill drinks, take away plates, that’s about it. I’ll probably check this place out again, would love to try it when there are crab legs!

My friends made a big deal about this place so we joined them one day. Yes they have blue crabs and hibachi area, but overall I was not impressed at all. It’s typical chinese buffet. Food was nothing special. I honestly think some people that work here are lazy by the look of how they bring out their watermelon. I wish I took a picture, but it was in these huge irregular looking chunks, size of a softball. Honestly, I wouldn’t go back here unless I have to.

I was there last year and loved it. The food tasted good so was the service. Fast forward to this week and I went there, from the hostess to the waitress everyone seemed to be in a rather nasty mood which was different from the service we got there the last two visits. At some point I thought they probably didn’t want people of my skin colour there coz the waitress simply tossed the straw when she brought me juice and after taking away the plates she left my fork that I was gonna use again on the table. The food quality has reduced too and the tea was literally lukewarm water I will probably be heading back to the country buffet.

Wow, I had my share of Chinese buffets and that has to be the worst one I have ever been to. I came through with a tour group and boy was it expensive. $ 17 for a dinner meal! The food was horrible, the fried rice was mixed with a lot of soy sauce to the point it was dark brown. The crawfish was subpar. the salted shrimp was just okay. The ribs and fried chicken was okay but what disappointed me the most was their mac and cheese! How can you mess that up?! The service was bad, the waitress we had gave me attitude. They also had us jugs of selected soda that was watered down! I am really disappointed! We should’ve went to the country buffet a few stores down.

There is a lot of variety at this buffet. The sesame balls, rice, and chicken are really great. The salad bar is decent, as well. The sushi isn’t the best, but it’s not terrible. They also offer a lot of different ice creams and dessert items. It’s a really big place and wasn’t very crowded or loud when I was there, so that was nice.

Very poor, Americanized Chinese food. Bad service– asked for water and was pointed to a table with cups and a pitcher. But here’s the tip– don’t drink from their blue cups. They were slightly wet on the inside, so I dried one off with a paper napkin, only to find a brown discoloration coming off on my napkin. Gross! Each cup on the table was like that. I asked the waitress if they had some clean cups and she either didn’t understand me or she just shrugged it off as if there were no issues.

Went here for dinner because my husband was craving a Chinese buffet. On a Friday night, mind you. Upon entering, we were told to pay before being seated. Um, what? Fine, we paid. Came up to $ 23& some change with military discount. Went to the buffet and for the size of the place, there was very little selection. I mean, who doesn’t have Generals Tso, Orange, or Beef Broccoli. They did have Sesame. However, the sesame we did get, and about every other dish we got was cold. I wanted something hot, so I went to the hibachi. I built my plate and waited and waited and waited for the cook to stop talking to his friend. The cook literally came around the grill and had a 10 minute conversation with the guy, all while I was standing there looking like an idiot. Tons of employees walking by and nobody said a thing. I almost put my plate down and told my husband to get a refund. I’d stay away. Never coming back here. Don’t waste your money.

I happened across this restaurant while actually searching for Old Country Buffet, which is located within the strip-mall. I always ask to «look» first when I eat in a buffet that I’ve never visited. When I saw that they were serving whole blue crabs, I didn’t really look much further and decided to chow down. Granted, the crabs were small and previously frozen, but how many Chinese buffets actually offer blue crab? On a scale of one to five, they were a two, but that was good enough in April. I ate about 10 — no complaining at all. They have a section where you can create your own plate of stir-fry, cooked by a chef, although shrimp was not one of the selections. I skipped this section. I also skipped their sushi bar. I concentrated on their salad bar, which was actually pretty good. In addition, to the blue crabs, I filled up on a self-carve beef roast and barbecue ribs. Both were quite good. The ribs were quite meaty. As for traditional Asian dishes served in buffets, the only item that appeared appetizing was their chicken and broccoli. The low-mein was very dark, lacked the usually veggies, and looked sugary. Their stir-fry yellow rice looked terrible, as did they white rice. They had a very interesting looking platter of veggies and shrimp, but it appeared loaded with butter which I avoid. They also had a stuffed-seafood mix served on a shell that looked pretty good, but loaded with mayonnaise which avoid. They also had crawfish, but instead of just boiling them as most buffets do, they loaded them in a sugary sauce. Oh, they had clams in the shell which were actually good — a bit salty, but good. They were actually easy to pull from the shell at the bar, to avoid having big shells on your plate, and they re-filled that platter very frequently. I observed a soup section and fridge with ice cream. I’m only rating this place a 3 because their Asian dishes appeared over-loaded with sugar. They have a section with the aforementioned, chicken and broccoli, as well as General Tso’s chicken, a beef stir-fry, etc. I didn’t find any of it appealing. They also have a section with the usual french-fries, egg rolls, chicken on a stick, chicken nuggets, fried chicken wings, etc, which also seemed second-rate as compared to above-average Chinese buffets. That being said, they had a fried fish that was actually very well done. I’m not exactly sure what type of fish, but they did a really good job with it. It had a southern flair, and I imagine this alone with some sides will satisfy many people. I won’t go out of the way to revisit, but if I happen to travel through Laurel, it’s worth taking a peak to see if the blue crabs are on the menu. At $ 12.18(tax included), this place is priced well and will satisfy most appetites. They have a nice attentive staff, and their is plenty of dining room.

Wife and I really like this buffet, probably twice a month which is alot for us. We like their sushi, we have never bought sushi, it is a nice appetizer with the meal. The hibachi grill is very good, steak, chicken, shrimp, etc. They have crabs/ribs for dinner and serve bus groups, seems very popular and you can be seated where there is little noise because it is caverous inside. They always carry away alot of empty plates from our table. It is easy to eat healthy or unhealthy here. Bathroom is centrally located, not hidden away somewhere. Always seems clean, no complaints from wife. Very reasonably priced for the food offerings.

Wow. First of all, this place only charges $ 12.50 for a dinner buffet! That is really outrageous. Outrageously cheap! I dont even know How they make any money, and the buffet selection is really decent. Love the fried plantaine here, and there is also a fresh build your own noodle bar. The customer service was great. I left Happy, answer sure it’s not fancy, but it’s decent for the price. Not sure Why this places has been rated below 3 stars. Anyways, hope this establishment stays open for a long time!!!

I’ve been here a couple times before and it’s usually not that bad. But today I was very disappointed with Grande Buffet. I only had a couple bites of each plate before I threw it away. The plates are not clean at all. There was a whole stack of plates with leftover food smeared on the side. I don’t expect it to be 100% clean but dude this was visible from a few feet away. I’m a huge seafood lover and this was the first time I’ve ever said no to oysters. Everything tasted bland and unappetizing. I can definitely feel the food poisoning brewing and I’m not looking forward to tomorrow. The only flip side is that they have televisions to watch the game on.

Food: 4 stars Service: 4 stars This place is solid. Avoid the sushi unless it’s fresh served, avoid the desserts bar unless you can take concentrated sugar cakes — other than that, I could eat everything in this buffet, down to the raw oysters. And then go for seconds. Bf introduced me to this go-to buffet of his, for $ 12(and 10% discount for military), we could have as many clams or crawfish as we want??? yessss please!!! lol. The clams were very delicious and to my surprise, were not too salty. I only came across one or two that had sand in them(dead clams) out of two full plates. So, for a Chinese buffet, it’s a solid 4 stars. The crawfish looked very appetizing, and we saw tables with mountains of crawfish so I assume it’s quite tasty too. I also tried a little bit of almost everything, the tri-tip was good(dinner only, by the self-serve mongolian bbq) quite juicy, the ribs were good too, the sour and spicy soup was awesome, the ice cream, yum, stir fried spinach, could eat it all day. ooh the baked mussels were great too, just right on the creamy and savory side. — some things I didn’t go for but looked good were, the sweet potatoes casserole, the pizzas, the mac n cheese, all comfort food for a different palette, depending on your mood! All in all, I’m just very pleasantly surprised that they didn’t go overboard with the salt /MSG in any dishes. I felt great afterwards with none of that sick feeling you get after too much salty chinese food. Like others have said, the space wow’ed me, it’s huge! and they didn’t skim on the interior decoration, which inadvertently adds to the experience. The service also deserves a little note, lady cleaning our table was super diligent and smiles all around.

I like the pork chops here. So tender and flavorful. The buffet is ok. The sushi bar is Americanized cooked sushi. I didn’t see any fresh fish served there. Nice and clean. Good for big groups for sure. only $ 8 for lunch. They catered the food to my office. Very good.

Better than OCB; but not by any measurable margin. Why, oh, why would the landlord allow two large buffet restaurants to occupy the same small strip mall? Times are tough, but it’s not fair to either of them. And, they do compete. This buffet has more of an asian influence, whereas OCB has none of that. Peel n eat shrimp a cut above So’s the Gyoza… Pot roast tastes out of a can. Pot roast is cheap– I so wanted this to be good, flavorful, healthy. It was a real letdown. BBQ roast pork quite good. Clams have some sand in them. That’s kind of off-putting. Broccoli on hibachi bar is really fresh! Vegetable spring rolls slightly soggy. The«Japanese Chicken» looks a lot like Chicken Teiryaki, but it’s not. Still, it’s quite tasty, and one of my favorites here. Update. After eating here again, I think that, even though the selection is better here, I prefer the taste of Old Country Buffet 100 feet away.
