We went there this evening with a Groupon. The sushi was delicious and the waiter was delightful. When management didn’t trust me to calculate the tip, and instead added $ 9.05 to the bill for the gratuity, I was offended. I told the hostess the truth: that I was going to tip $ 10, but since a $ 9.05 tip was mandated, I’d leave it at that. What’s the use of having a Groupon campaign if the users of the Groupon, many of whom will be patronizing the business for the first time, are to be treated like that? We won’t be back to this restaurant.

I ordered carry-out for several people with specific dietary needs. They surpassed my expectations. All the food was hot and delicious. The only recommendation I would make is for anything that is heavy on sauce(like teriyaki) to be packaged better to avoid leaking. I look forward to many more visits for carry-out and also dining in.

We came to celebrate my moms birthday, the hibachi was delicious and they even had a coupon for a free birthday dinner.

Quick service. Quality of food was good. Restaurant was clean and service good. Chefs were kind of dry and lacked energy you expect at a Japanese steakhouse. Soup was horrible a bowl of hot water with 2 pieces of spaghetti in it? Really. Spectacularly mediocre. My kids love this style of eating so probably will go back since it’s close.

Growing up, going to Japanese steak houses were a treat. Not only did I get good food but I got a show as well. Onion volcanoes, spinning knives, and shrimp tails flying all over the place. Needless to say I may be older but I’m still amused. Ginza is another one of the quality restaurants that’s sprung up along the route 29 corridor. My first time here I got the chicken/steak meal with fried rice. The chicken wasn’t too dry and had good flavor while my steak was cooked to order, unfortunately at the time I only at steak well done though smh. The vegetables were also pretty tasty and the miso soup was light while opening up my appetite. The fried rice I thought lacked some flavor, I think Benihana’s is a little better because of the garlic butter they use. My second trip to Ginza was sushi run. I consider myself an expert when it comes to spicy tuna/salmon and philly roll because those are my staples. The sushi was solid, not the very best I’ve ever had but worth another trip if I’m close by. Make sure you ask for extra ginger, they don’t short you but IMO you can never have too much ginger. The prices are a hair under DC suburbs Japanese steakhouses but still not cheap, definitely worth checking out if you’re close by and in the mood for some Hibachi. Just an FYI, you will leave here with your clothes smelling like food.

I love this place. Food is so delicious, we try to get the same chef every time we come I believe his name is «Jose» he does such a good job with seasoning and he’s very entertaining. The owner is very nice as well he always comes over and makes sure everything is okay. I normally buy a groupon and go but you have to wait 24 hours before using it. My daughter loves it here, if it was up to her this would be her request for dinner every night. It is a little pricey but we do try to make it every other week :)

I’m surprised this is my first check in at ginza. The kids in our family all seem to love it, and this is one of our most frequented family/friends get together spots. The staff is always friendly, the service is excellent, and most importantly the food is awesome. I’m not one to believe in magic, but i dont know how else to explain the food. The sushi is fresh, and delicious. There has never been anything i have ordered from here that i was not completely satisfied with. This spot is a win for everybody. The kids get to see the food prepared in front of them, and the chefs make a show out of it, doing tricks for the kids, and really are good at making it a fun family experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Overall a great experience but the chef got an order confused and took food from one plate to another. The portion was lovely. Didn’t leave hungry or over stuffed.

I’ve been a long time fan of Japanese steakhouses and a long time patron at Sakura. Ginza opened up right by home so I’ve been coming here for sake of convenience. The atmosphere and service are as good as you’d expect and the restaurant is always kept clean. The reason for the 3 stars is the food– it’s not as good as other Japanese steakhouses nearby – namely the Sakura in Elicott City. It’s never as fresh and the portions are smaller – total bill for 3 people tends to hover around $ 60 and for that price it doesn’t really deliver. Still worth trying out but I’d go to Sakura instead!

Only got 2 stars because of how nice the staff was. For the food it was less than great. The fish wasn’t fresh. My roll wasn’t even put together in the container it just looked like a pile of fish rice and seaweed. The seaweed salad was good, exept 2⁄3 was lettuce. When I asked for a side of spicy mayo I only got 1⁄8 of a Togo ramiken. This place is beyond cheap I will not return

Fresh food prepared right in front of you. Really great taste and friendly staff. Hibachi is pretty expensive $ 18+ a plate.

Well if you go in with the expectations that this more of dinner theater Saturday night out for those suburbanites living between Baltimore and c DC, your expectations will be aligned with the experience. The chefs are comical, entertaining and generally make the evening enjoyable. The food is edible. A good time was had by all. That’s what matters here and they delivered it.

The two times I have come here has been a good experience. Never had sushi, only hibachi. Garlic shrimp, ok but not my favorite. I prefer the grilled or teriyaki(whatever the other option is) I like the combo selection, many options to choose from & I feel full when I’m done. I do wish there was an option for either soup or salad instead of both. I’m not crazy about the dressing they use(I don’t like it no matter what hibachi place I go to). I would return to this place for sure.

Average hibachi grill — no different than any other one. I prob won’t go back — there’s a Sakura around the corner from my house and it’s about the same.

Went here for a friend’s birthday this past weekend and this hibachi place has been the most fun one I’ve been to! Hibachi places are always so much fun and this one was certainly one of the most entertaining. First off, the service was great, our chef was very funny and lively, and the food was delicious. The pricing was also very reasonable compared to some other hibachi places here in NOVA/DC. Our server was very attentive to our big group and we had the back corner all to ourselves, which was nice. I ordered the filet mignon with scallops and it was absolutely delicious. I normally get picky about how my scallops are cooked, but our chef didn’t skimp at all and gave us a generous portion. In addition, they were cooked perfectly soft with just the right amount of buttery goodness. Great for groups, great service, and good food!

Good food and great service. The lunch bento boxes are the best. It has a great price for what you get. I haven’t been to the hibachi yet only the bar, but from what i can tell ideas that people like it. I would recommend them to my friends.

We went for lunch on a rainy Friday. I was skeptical, as my experience with Hibachi places hasn’t been that good. While they put up a good show, the food is rarely great. This one was different. Both the sushi and the hibachi was really tasty and well prepared. Recommend the golden shrimp(shrimp with egg yolk battered in oil on top) — yummy!

This is our new favorite sushi place in HoCo! We sat at the sushi bar and had a wonderful time! We will definitely go back for sushi and to try the hibachi. If you have the living social deal it’s only good for hibachi, not sushi. The sushi chef had a great, outgoing personality and the other wait staff was very attentive as well. While it’s not the restaurant’s fault parking in that plaza is a nightmare and we drove around for 15 minutes before we found a spot.
