On several occasions, Bill Myers has been to my house to bail me out of installation issues from other companies. Most recently, a wiring issue with a new thermostat from another company that didn’t work six months later come fall. Sometimes, I have to use other HVAC companies because Bill is booked, but he is my number one choice when I need an expert to fix my problem.

Let’s start with this: my initial call was lovely, and the people who work there are delightful. I explained that I didn’t need a NEW system, but that my current system didn’t blow air to the top floors of my 1949 colonial house. I didn’t understand why, but if I could have someone come by the house and explain it to me, I would appreciate a free estimate for the work, and we could take it from there. Oh yes, no problem. Then, the DAYOF the supposed estimate, *I* call to confirm the afternoon appointment. They kindly refer me to Bill Myers, the owner of the company. What do I get? «Oh, I’ve been trying to call you for DAYS!» Ummm, there are no voicemails on my phone, so I don’t really see how that could be, but ok… «My company DOESN’T do free estimates, and I don’t know any company that does!» Really? Because yours is the first company I’ve see that DOESN’T do free estimates. Everyone does. But. uhh… ok… So how much is it for you to come over my house and tell me what’s wrong? «$ 85 per half hour.» WTF?! FORYOUTODONOTHINGBUTCOMEINANDTELLMETHAT I PROBABLYNEEDTOINSTALLBLOWERS? You’re not doing anything! He was rude on the phone, and the conversation was absurd. I found him on Consumer’s Checkbook, but I am NEVER going to call him again. I suggest, if you want an honest workman, that you don’t either.
