If you are a beginner or expert, it doesn’t matter. They have great help for the novices and the experts can dig right in. The staff is very friendly, especially Brenda. She is a riot. If… When we return to the area, we will definitely stop by again. They also have little gifts and knick-​knacks for those back home. Great spot for relaxation and to enjoy your company with some great wine.

This place is awesome! My husband and I stopped out with our two children just before closing and the service was amazing! Very, very friendly and offered suggestions as we were doing a tasting! The tasting per person was only $ 5 which I was surprised by as I thought it would be more. I could not believe the variety they offered and all the fun flavors. I’ve never had so much fun tasting wine before!

Love Thistle Meadow! I do not know much about wine, but know that I am never disappointed when I come to Thistle Meadow. When we came here for a celebration tasting after my fiancé proposed, my soon to be mother in law refused to drink any wine claiming she is not a fan of wine. I made her try a few sips of the Chickadee White and she was hooked! She walked away with three bottles of wine! Whenever I am in the area I always stop here. The staff knows their wine– they are so friendly and knowledge and take the time to gey to know you. Even if you think you are not a wine fan, there is something here for you!

I am not a wine snob by any means, just make sure it has alcohol in it and I’m good so I may not be the best authority to tell you about the tannens and flavor profiles.
However, I CAN tell you that the service here was unlike anything I have ever experienced. The two women that led the tasting, one young and one middle aged, were the nicest people I have ever happened upon. We got extra tastings, backrubs, the low down on what was going on in town, I felt like I had known these women for years by the time I left. It worked to their benefit as I bought two bottles of wine (one I drank there just to keep hanging out).
I would glady drive the hour and a half just to see them again. Well done ladies.

This place is THE BEST! We love this place. We visit here every time we are in the area. We go out of our way to go here if we are anywhere near it. The owner, Tom is so nice. One day we went there to pick up some more wine and they were closing for the day. Since we had been there a few days before, they asked if we were just picking up some more wine. We said yes. They said «come on in!» Then, Tom said «you HAVE to try my new plum wine !» Now mind you — I said they were CLOSING. Nope, he said we MUST try his new plum wine. It was so good, we bought some ! They are really friendly there and they let you try lots of wines. The Lucky Black is our favorite. It’s a blackberry merlot. Good stuff. They also have a store that sells all kinds of wine gifts from openers, t-​shirts, aprons, glasses, bottle holders and they even have Wine making kits !!! It’s a quick stop off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This place is a DO NOT MISS kind of place !!!
