Ok I’m not much of a golfer but love to hit things with sticks as much as the next guy. I unloaded my golf bag before I went. Took out the pellet gun and fishing pole and left only balls tees and clubs. I feared this collar only golf club might not dig my redneck golf skills. I have been known to bring home many a dinner after golfing. Bass, rabbit, doves, ducks, at various clubs even got a goose at Rivera back in 93 before they got so uptight. I am an admitted hacker. I play for fun. Beer is an essential golf tool. The more I drink the better I get. I usually load up a 12 pack a side. I once won a trophy for golf with an amazing 20 net. Too bad I was too drunk to remember cracking it in half at the clubs bar celebrating. It proudly sits somewhere glued together in my garage. Mojave Resort Golf Club is a sportsman’s paradise. 1st hole a coyote runs across the green. Hell yea I thought game on! But the others in our 5some would not let me golf out of turn for a shot at it. I went 3 over par and lost a ball on this hole. Fuck! Next couple of holes I see rabbits every where, but they’re no good in the summer. They got worms in the summer and can make you sick. So I passed on the rabbits and got my drank on. It’s hotter than hell in Laughlin 105 degrees at 9 am you need to keep hydrated! The heat was getting to me and I managed to lose a ball or 10 over the next few holes until my buzz kicked in. At this point Tiger ain’t got shit on me I was hittin’ the crap out of the ball. And luckily for me the sand traps here are like concrete so I was kickin ass. Long drives sweet putts, you know tin cup shit. That was until Bob woke me up from my stupor by running into my golf cart. No worries I saved the cooler! At this point I was suffering a heat stroke and didn’t care anymore. I got Intimate with a few of the homes on the course taking out a few roof tiles and spooking a couple of retirees sunbathing in their back yard. I think I finished 20 under or over par depending on who you ask. This is a pretty well maintained desert course. But it a desert course so be prepared with sunscreen and lots of beer. The clubhouse staff were nice and friendly but I’m sure the laughed and said Hi-Five Ass Fucks as we headed to the course. I’ll be back, but with proper hunting implementation.

Fun desert course. Really hot with little shade, so I’d recommend wearing spf sleeves here. Typical desert course layout… lots of bump and run opportunities. Ball doesn’t sit well on the greens… super dry greens equals balls rolling off(first clue is the no ball marks on green, not one!). Greens were a bit beaten up due to the heat… a mix of green and brown, cracked dirt. Greens are really slow! Some of the rough was cracked and dry. I don’t recommend playing out of the bunkers as they are like hitting off a concrete cart path. Not worth it to break a club or wrist. Like another reviewer, I also putt out of a few traps. Lots of hills on the course, so there can be a few bad lies(ball above/below feet). 4 options to tee off from. Black(low handicappers), gold(typical back tees), white(most seniors/women), and green(high handicappers/beginners). Most men were teeing off the whites here. Carts have gps and pointers, so that’s a plus. The course is near the AVI Casino. You drive past the RV park to the entrance. There are houses around the course. Layout was pretty with the mountains in the background. This course is comparable to Vegas courses for half the money. No real clubhouse here. You can get a drink, but the restaurant is more like a snack shack than a typical resort/country club restaurant. Green fees cover cart, range balls, and bottled water. Lots of opportunities to refill water along course. Staff was very nice. Had fun here. Would play here again. Interested in seeing how the course plays in a different season.

The best overall golf course in the Laughlin area — and we have played them all. Greens, fairways, layout are all great. Can’t wait to come back, and this time we will play here 2 days instead of some other local courses.

Annual golf tournament here for past 10yrs. I like the layout(location of bunkers, water, etc.). Greens are in great shape! Finished our round in just over 4hrs.

Overall — 4.5 stars Course Layout– 5 stars Rates(July 4th /$ 39 includes cart 2 bottles of water & unlimited range balls) — 5 stars Tee Box conditions — 5 stars Fairway conditions — 5 stars Green conditions — 5 stars Pace(3 ½ hours) — 5 stars Bunker conditions — 2 stars(like cement and had a sandy save using only my putter) Customer service — 4 stars This course is about 15 minutes from the Laughlin Hotels and seconds from the Avi hotel. This is a forgiving course off the tee and a nice challenge around the greens. The greens play slower than they appear so take a couple practice putts before hitting the course. The club house & maintenance facilities literally consist of a double or triple wide trailer and a extra large banquet tent but who cares when you’re there to play golf, not get married. I’ve played all the courses in the area and I have to say this is my new favorite. Side note– I had the privilege of scoring my 1st ever hole in 1 on the 5th hole. It was a 183 yard 7 iron that took a single bounce into the hole!

I have played this course twice now, and both times were a lot of fun. This course will make you feel like a great golfer. The fairways are wide, and although many holes were well bunkered I only found one after playing all eighteen holes. Mojave resort is a pretty typical desert links style course. The exception being that there are a fair amount of trees bordering the fairways, making it a little easier still to keep your ball in play. The greens were in great shape, but excruciatingly slow. They don’t rate them at clubhouse, but I’d be willing to bet they read at about 6 – 8 on a stimpmeter. Just aim and bang away, these greens won’t punish a bad putt, and take a lot of read out of the equation. The course wasn’t too extraordinary in terms of design. Most of the holes were pretty forgettable with the exception being the last 2 holes. 17 is a beautiful par 3 over a lake, and 18 a narrow par 4 with a lake bordering the right hand side of the fairway(slicers beware!) which must be carried on the approach to the green. The maintenance here is pretty good. I did see a few brown spots here and there, but nothing too bad overall. The range is great, lots of targets, and GRASS! The balls were in good shape, and clean. The putting green wasn’t too big, but read nice and slow just like the greens on the course. No chipping allowed. The staff was nice and pleasant. I was treated well, and enjoyed discussing golf with them before my round. I would definitely return to this course, although I thought Laughlin Ranch was a better course overall. It’s greens and design were more challenging, and interesting. Mojave Resort GC would be appropriate for higher handicappers, or beginners if visiting the Laughlin area, Laughlin Ranch GC would be a better choice for more experienced players. Both courses charged the same green fees during my most recent visit. If the greens were faster this would have been a 4 star review, It’s hard to take a course serious when the greens aren’t.

This course is a diamond… better than a diamond actually with no real rough. This is a golfers dream course and I’ll tell you why. The fairways are just as wide as they are long. Feel free to spray it around on most holes and you’re still hitting on nice semi short cut grass. They closely mow the grass around the green too so feel free to putt a shot 20 feet short or sometimes even long. It’s like a collection area on all sides. The greens are really hard though so sticking shots isn’t easy. Very links style so run it up in some cases. The greens looked fast but believe me they are deathly slow so you can really go aggressive at them. Played an American Airlines shotgun tourney here a week back and had a great time. The staff are super friendly and the course is really clean. Upon driving up to the course you can tell you’re gonna have a blast based on how green it is against the desert brown backdrop. This is truly a beautiful course.

Friedly staff, course in good shape. A bit pricy, so look for a twilight time, when cost is much more reasonable.
