I had dinner here with my girlfriend on 05÷28÷16. We arrived around 8 p.m. without a reservation, but they quickly and warmly greeted and seated us at a very nice table overlooking the river. This is a romantic restaurant with dim lights, white table clothes and fine stainless. Go with someone you care about. The food was perfectly prepared and served properly. Service was excellent; our server was Carl. We ordered the Seafood Crepes as an appetizer and they were delicious. Next we ordered the Veal Marsala — excellent as well and perfectly prepared. We split that dish and note that there is a $ 7.50 plating charge, but it would have been too much food for me alone. We like to split large entrees at night. With alcoholic drinks, the total was $ 70.22, without tip. Overall experience was 4 stars! We will return!

This is, by far, my favorite restaurant in Laughlin. From the ambiance to the staff to the food, you get an experience you will never forget. This stay I enjoyed the house salad tossed table side with the best house dressing I have ever had in my life. My entrée was the veal piccata with linguine and marinara… I didn’t want it to end. Hubby had the lobster tails and he said they were so good they didn’t even need the butter or lemon. Before dinner they bring you a delightful sorbet to clean your palate. Each visit I try something new. Last stay was a delicious steak with béarnaise sauce and the onion soup. What are you waiting for??? Make your reservation today.

Service was very good. Soup good. I had the seafood with the Newburg sauce that is the favorite I was told, it was a hot mess. Tough and all tasting the same. My husband had the steak special he said was good. Borderline if I would go back as the price is steep.

This place is excellent! All of the food here was created with care and imagination. We had a reservation and had to sit at the bar for an extra 25 minutes but the wait was worth it. This French restaurant definitely has that slow feel that takes you from one course to the next. We were here over three hours eating our dinner so it was not a place to go if you are in a hurry however the perfect romantic spot to enjoy an evening with someone you love!

Best dining experience on the river. If you are looking for a high end classy five star restaurant in Laughlin this is the place to be. Happy Hour in the bar is also a must if you like good drinks or specialty martinis. Great piano music also adds to the relaxing on the river environment. Love the bar area and Joe is a phenomenal bar tender. All in all I would give this place 10 stars if I could but 5 is the maximum lol

Service was outstanding! Waiters were wonderful! I had the filet mignon with lobster. Food tasted great, but was on the cold side. For being market price, it should have been better, the filet was a bit over charred on the bottom. I did take into account that there was a power outage, but it did get stuffy in the restaurant. Lobster was a bit on the smaller side, but it was very good.

Had a absolutely terrible experience thanksgiving day from everything from the food to the service. Decided to give them a second chance they did better the next time but it is definitely not worth the money to come dine here. There are better steaks to be had in town.

If you like French food, this place is the bomb!!! Try to done here when the sun is setting. Truly a romantic ambiance. Food, service, and ambiance is probably the best you will find in Laughlin. Oh and don’t forget the casino after your meal. The slots are pretty loose at the Riverside. I have had good luck there.

We were in Laughlin on New Year’s Day to catch a movie and had planned to go to another restaurant for dinner, but that restaurant was unable accommodate us before our movie. So, we went here in a whim and were very glad we did! The service was very good and the food was great! We had the escargot for an appetizer and they brought out a nice bread basket. My hubby had a wild game platter and I had seafood langoustine. Would without a doubt go back here again!

We came to Laughlin for a few days of golf and gambling. My bother told us this was supposed to be the best in town… wrong. The view was great, the service staff was exceptional… but the food was horrible. I started with Escargot, which was so over salted it spoiled my taste buds. I don’t understand why there was course salt covering each piece. For my entrée, I had lobster ravioli and wished I hadn’t. The pasta was tough and the sauce was burnt, I had two bites and quit. My friend had the seafood special and was underwhelmed. But my brother loved his steak au poivre… hence the two stars. The chef came out to speak to us and was a nice guy… but the damage was already done. I don’t mind paying the high prices, but I then expect high quality food. I recommend going someplace other than here.

Laughlin’s première restaurant. Service is wonderful. Wide variety of dinner options — French, Italian, seafood, and steaks to name a few. There’s even quail and duck served. Wonderful views of the river through floor to ceiling windows. Save room for dessert. There’s a tray showing choices or have Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee, or Crepes Suzette prepared table side for two. Reservations are a must.

Had my beautiful wife’s birthday dinner almost ruined. We made a 7:00pm reservation well in advance, but when we arrived we were made to wait 40 minutes before we were seated, although the restaurant was practically empty with less than 20 people in the entire restaurant. Once seated it took 15 minutes for our waiter to show up and offer us something to drink. The service was extremely slow throughout the evening. Even during desert I had to ask several times for a cup of coffee. Once again I want to point out that there were maybe 20 people in the restaurant, and over 50% of their tables empty… I wonder why. By the time we ended dinner it was almost 10:00pm which caused us to miss our show. The food food was good, but unless you have all night I would ask if they are fully staffed before having dinner there. The 2-Stars are for the food not the service.

On August 6,2015 at 6 pm boyfriend Justin made a reservation at my favorite restaurant. Yes the Gourmet Room in the Riverside Casino. I love this restaurant, boyfriend took me here yet again for my birthday. We had a quail for appetizer, we had spinach salad. Boyfriend Justin had elk, so tend to die for. I had ½ of grab legs with melted butter and a chocolate moose pyramid with raspberry sauce. Everything was so good and the service is excellent.

We arrived in town for me to meet the girlfriend’s parents for the first time, but traffic was lousy on the 15 North so we postponed the meeting to the next day. She brought me here for dinner citing the view of the Colorado River as the compelling reason. I was pretty famished so I was prepared to eat anywhere. We end up liking the food and the service. I had the shrimp linguine and she had the steaks. And she was right, the view of the river was pleasant. The immediate negative is that even though this restaurant is nice, it is located in a crappy old casino. It presents as more rundown than the ones in DT Las Vegas.

It was my second visit to Gourmet Room and I am going to come back :) Food was spectacular, our server Justin was great!!! Very helpful, professional. Cooking for us table side, made this dining experience incredible! The restaurant has its own charm. Old-fashioned, very classy and romantic. Piano playing in the background is a definite plus and adds to the nice atmosphere. Cozy seats, beautiful River view… Perfect date place!!!

Love this place– love that the décor hasn’t changed– old Vegas vibe and menu. Fined there three times during our stay. Table side Cessars salad is awesome and not T all pricey. Chateaubriand for two was better than the best, more expensive steakhouses in NYC. Also pre ordered the beef Wellington– definitely try it– hard to find that on menus today. Cooked perfectly! The soup or house salad comes with the meSl and the soups are also incredible. finish with a 70’s inspired dessert — we had the table side bananas foster and loved it!

New chef, excellent food and service, and after another return visit, it’s back to 5 stars for the Gourmet Room. This time for an appetizer I began with a folded, browned, and sumptuous La Crêpe de Fruit de Mer, Seafood Crêpe Gratinee composed of scallops, shrimp, lump crab, spinach and mushrooms in a quite yummy Creamy Lobster Sauce with Parmesan Cheese. I followed this with La Soupe a L’Oignon Gratinee, excellent traditional French Onion Soup, as well as an excellent bowl of Chicken Saffron Dill Soup, the soup of the day, which tasted like the inside of a Chicken Pot Pie. It was chock-full of cubes of white chicken meat, pieces of carrots, and celery in a creamy sauce. A nice complimentary Bread Basket was filled with fresh Sourdough Bread, Poppy Seed Rolls, and Breadsticks. A House Salad prepared tableside for ONE(although enough for two) was delicious, including mixed greens, Radicchio, Red Grape Tomatoes, Artichoke Heart, Enoki Mushrooms, Red Onion, White Onion, croutons, and Bleu Cheese Dressing with Bleu Cheese crumbles. And I was given enough time to finish off the crêpe, two soups, and a large salad before very refreshing Lemon Lime Sorbet as a palate cleanser and the entrees arrived. When placed before me, I marveled at how colorful my entrée plate was, featuring bright yellow cauliflower, orange carrot, green asparagus, red radish, Red Bell Pepper, and white and gold Redskin Potatoes, along with a large fillet of golden Seafood Stuffed Hawaiian Sea Bass that was filled with crab, shrimp, and lobster stuffing and coated with both Lobster Sauce and Hollandaise Sauce. The well-prepared fish was both rich and delicious. Diane once again savored a rich version of Coquilles St. Jacques, followed by Lava Cake with a molten center and a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. I finished with a cup of hot decafe and a generous slice of light and tasty No Sugar Added Chocolate Mousse Cake embellished with Blackberries, Raspberries, and Strawberries. Our floor to ceiling window view of the Colorado River right before our table for two was spectacular as the sun was close to setting. Water refills were fast without any need to ask for them, and Chef de Cuisine Ross even dropped by our table to see that everything was satisfactory. This was the Gourmet Room – where we have now enjoyed dining for over 15 years – in top form.
