They even have a Bass here at this outlet mall! I was bummed when I couldn’t stop at Bass in Lenwood outlets, but boy was I happy to make it out here! Bass is located in the Laughlin outlet shops. I walked in and was greeted by a couple of friendly staff members. One older lady, who’s name I didn’t get and Elizabeth. Elizabeth was very helpful in finding my boots I’ve been in search for. I love boots and will wear them all days in the year. This location had the ones I wanted and in my size which was a huge shock! If it weren’t for Elizabeth helping and pointing out the great deals, I wouldn’t have walked out with three pairs of shoes today. I’m so happy with my purchases! Great customer service and clean well stocked location!

I’m so tired of manipulative business practices. I look at a pair of leather sandals two weeks ago for $ 39.99. They are not«on sale,» but the young lady that helps me says they should go on sale soon. Today I go in and magically the new retail price is $ 100 and they are marked off 60% to $ 40. The most expensive pair of sandals on the G.H. Bass website I found were $ 58. The sales lady tells me those online retail prices are actually sale prices. Honest business practices go a long way with me and these«fraudulent» sales are the reason I would rather buy from a Nordstroms. We spent a few hundred here a few weeks ago. That will be my last purchase from G.H. Bass.

This place always has good discounts, but it especially does on Independence Day weekends. And the quality of merchandise is very good. Bass Weejuns are all hand-sewn shoes, and thus one pair still often varies from another pair sized exactly the same. So all such shoes must be physically tried on to see how well they fit. I remember wearing them in college at San Diego State in the early ‘60s after reports filtered in across campus that these hand-sewn«penny loafers» were all the rage on college campuses throughout the Ivy League. In those days it was customary to place a shiny copper penny within a slit on the top of each shoe that was suitable for this purpose. Nowadays not all Weejuns are made with such openings. After three weeks of missing a pair of black dress shoes(I have no idea where they presently are), I thought it was a good time to buy a replacement pair – especially when this Bass store was selling a second pair of shoes at 50% off if a customer bought two pairs. So, besides buying a black Jeremy Bass dress shoe, I bought a black-brown combo Michael Bass Weejun with white stitching on the front, plus a pair of light blue shorts at a 65% discount. Yes, one shoe model is called a «Jeremy», and the other a «Michael», for I don’t know what conceivable reason. Altogether, after multiple discounts were deducted, I saved over $ 100 without even taking into account the bloated original price posted for the shoes that had been slashed in half on each price tag. I will continue to periodically shop at this G. H. Bass & Co. outlet store for high-quality shoes, sandals, and other clothing needs that are usually available at bargain prices.
