This store seemed to have many Caribbean and African items. There was fresh seafood, meats and produce as well. I didn’t spend much time here but would gladly go again. The place was busy and staff was helpful.

Love shopping here! I usually buy the beef NY steak, Salmon fillets, and California blend vegetables. They have fresh fish, and a great selection of frozen seafood.

I was not impressed. The bulk of their seafood was frozen. In addition, what kind of fish market has no crab or clams/mussels? I mean seriously… Even Publix has crab and clams. I have no idea how this is a fish market… This was a wasted trip.

Took a drive out there on Saturday. I was overly impressed by the variety of seafood/meat they carry. The workers were extremely nice(I was wearing shorts :) that might have helped. LOL). This is going to be my future one stop stop for all ethnic food/meat/seafood.

This happens to be one of those markets that are not for the amateur food shopper. You can get really great foods and excellent bargains, but you have to be able to discern freshness and quality at eye glance. That is becaue some items at Broward are not all that fresh and others lacking, as in totally lacking in quality. I only shop here in order to obtain ethnic foods, their fish of for the more exotics like Everglade frog legs or range rabbit. They have a wide selection of ethnic, basically Jamaican/Caribbean, but other foods(goat, as is also a stable in Greece) as well. You’ll find that the patronage is basically minority, Caribbean or Asian, with tastes leading them towards food selections not common to the average Floridian, which is to me an educational delight. Every time I have been there, I have spoken with the other patrons and each conversation has proved to be a learning experience for me. Though it may sound ridiculous, it is here that I first learned how to properly peel a banana. Like you don’t open them from the stem, and just in the event you too would like to learn, here’s a good YouTube instructional video on it and one that might surprise you. And please note, if you don’t think that video about how to peel a banana is meaningful, then why is it headed toward 3 million views? And no, in case you do view it, my real name is not Brittany.

I was so pleased with this place! I got one of their weekend flyers and decided to go in and have a look at the specials advertised. I went in on a Saturday. They open at 8am and I was there 15 minutes before they opened. I decided to wait and they actually opened 5 minutes prior to the time since there was a crowd of people outside. The reason for the crowd: Well, 29 cents a pound for chicken quarters that is why!!! I bought 20 pounds for less than $ 6! I have so much chicken in my freezer that I am afraid I will fly away one of these days. This market has a HUGE variety of cuts when it comes to your pork, your beef, turkey, and chicken. They have a HUGE variety of fresh fish too! I recommend you come here and spend some time looking around their huge selection of meats. It will be worth your trip!
