Abingdon Manor Country Inn

Now my 5^th visit there this past week. The perfect stop on a drive between palm beach and NYC. Food is incredible care of Patty Griffey and her husband Michael ensures you feel right at home. I am a picky traveler and foodie and Abingdon never fails to impress.

Simply the best! Living in Northern Virginia, my wife and I often look for the perfect weekend escape from our hectic lifestyles. Guess what? We found it! We began visiting Abingdon Manor in the mid to late 90’s and have been back at least once a year since. The Inn Keepers, Mike and Patty Griffey, keep the tradition of southern hospitality alive and well by offering the perfect getaway complete with first class amenities, five-​star dining, superior service and a trip back in time. We graduated from the very first Abingdon Manor Gourmet cooking school, kayaked the waters of the Little Pee Dee river, experienced the thrill of NASCAR at historic Darlington Raceway, have been expertly guided on nature tours, experienced local historic sites, enjoyed antiquing… and the best part is that we often do absolutely nothing but sit on the front porch in rocking chairs enjoying the quiet surroundings listening to the birds and romantic sound of a train whistle in the distance. I could continue typing wonderful accolades, but Abingdon is something you must experience for yourself to appreciate.
If you are traveling, on business, vacationing or simply want to get away from it all, you owe it to yourself to visit Abingdon at least once in your lifetime. I promise you stay more than once. My very highest recommendation!
