Amazing food for a great price! Very accommodating. The pizza was amazing! Not great at all and the cyst was firm and held together very well. Caste variety of toppings that suites a wide variety of tastes. Their gluten conscious crust can be well suited for those curbing their gluten intake. The pizza tastes like the stuff I had in Italy!!!

Ate here a bunch of times and each time it continued to taste worse, ingredients skimped on and staff are uneducated and unprofessional. Sad… it started off good. It is WAY overpriced for what you get. We will pay the money if our stomachs get filled up. Not here! Their beer selection is decent but the wait staff is clueless about beer and what is in stock and what isn’t.

Love this place. Pizza is delicious, staff is friendly and the environment is laid back and casual. The service is prompt, and they treat you like family. Great place for a get-together. They also have a 6 pack shop that boasts tons of craft beers. Excellent place!

Michael’s is our absolute favorite pizza place in the entire western hemisphere! Warm, friendly atmosphere, super efficient service, and the pizza is to die for. Their selection of craft beers is great, too. We visit once a week, and love to bring friends. Oh, and every table has a view of the wood-fired oven.

Wait staff had no knowledge of what ingredients were in sauce or did the cooks. Apparently only the«chef» knew and she was too busy talking to a table who I am guessing was her family. Chip appetizer was like deep fried Lays, do not recommend, the wait staff said they were frozen. Took the rest of our food to go. Go a sub and was not told it was a flat bread. Hard to see entrance from route 30, no lights. Would not be back! Bathrooms were clean, hence the one star. The pizza was one step above totinos.

The pizza was mediocre and served by a woman dressed like she just finished cleaning her house. The men making pizzas were reprimanded for talking too loudly and inappropriately(thankfully). The paper plates and disposable cups were fitting considering the staff and food.

This place should probably stop calling itself«gormet.» Between the kitschy decorations, the paper plates and plastic cups that the food and drinks were served in, and the extremely casually dressed staff that was constantly hovering and vacuuming around us, there is nothing gormet about this Route 30 pit stop. I had the pepperoni pizza and it only tasted slightly like cardboard. If you want gormet, then you need to spend the money on nice décor, lighting, ingredients, and for goodness sake some dishes, that shouldn’t have to be said. If you want a casual, medium price pizza joint and six pack stop, then this is the place for you.

Thought I’d take a chance after either terrible reviews or maybe some home cooked ones. First of all good menu not A typical for a Pizza joint. I think the food is average at best. The menu is way over priced and surely won’t last in our area. So bottom line is don’t take a family budget there it’s for a date night or a place to get a retro type meal. Just not a family night out dinning place. Pizza is different just not my cup of tea!

I heard they just started serving pasta as well as pizza. That got them an extra star.

Turned away 3 times, As a new restaurant in the area, they’ve not provided the warm welcoming. The staff is more anxious in leaving early than building a business. On 3 unique occasions arriving 30 – 40 minutes prior to close the staff indicated they were closed. A Wood fired pizza shop in New Derry has stoked the fire and the owner himself whipped up a pie after each turned away.

Very pleased with out first visit. We ordered the margarita pizza and was surprised to find it delicious. Restaurants around this area can’t seem to master what a margarita pizza truly is. Our pizza came out quickly and the service was cheerful. We will definitely be back soon.

I am new in the area, and have been looking for my new pizza spot. After several attempts I have finally found it. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and a good variety. I would recommend Michael’s wood fired pizzeria to anyone.

This place is pure hype! A friend and I ordered two of their«award winning» specialty pizzas and were grossly disappointed. The smoking goodfello pizza claims it comes with roasted red peppers on it. They were in fact red bell peppers. The pizza alla vodka barely had any sauce on it and each slice had literally one tiny piece of prosciutto. When I picked it up the first time they didn’t even remember to put prosciutto on it. I drove back to get another pizza and there was about a pound of mushrooms and about 5 one inch long pieces of prosciutto on the whole pie. I was told it would be an hour for pickup. Pizza was cold in the middle and probably had been done for a half hour. Don’t feed into their wood fired hype.

We wanted to try this place since we live in the area and its new. I have seen a lot of cars here since they opened and thought it may become our new favorite local pizza. As we entered we were quickly greeted by staff and it felt warm and inviting. We ordered the Michael’s Margherita pizza. As we were waiting there was some sort of commotion in the kitten area,(it is open, I suppose so you can see the fire.) I then smelled something burning. When our«large» pizza came out, I quickly realized what I smelled burning. The bottom of our pizza was very black and charred. I told our waitress and she was very nice and told me they will make us a new one. It came out quickly, It was ok, But you certainly could have gotten a better pizza just down the street. Its a shame, this could have been very good if only a few things were changed… I think just having someone making the pizza that had some idea what they were doing, they seemed very young and one thing that is very important is CHEESE! We most likely will not be back. I would also like to point out that I know what a wood fire pizza is suppose to be.(I over herd some kitchen members talking).

I got a small vodka pizza ad a bottled water for $ 15. The pizza came with no prosciutto while it was advertised as such. The crust was ok but the middle tasted like mush. It wasn’t even as good as goodfellas in ny which isn’t very good in the first place. I would pass and get ginos next time

Wood fired pizza? Yes. Good wood fired pizza? No. It was an American pizza cooked in a wood fired oven. Crust way to thick, not fresh mozzarella. Semolina dough? That makes the dough to soft and well doughy. Use double 0 flour, much better, chewier crust. My son and I ordered the Michael’s Margherita and the Pizza alla Vodka. The margherita came out first. Well I was shocked to see a yellow tinged cheese on my pizza. I turned around and looked at the pizza makers and they were pulling pre-sliced mozzarella out of a Tupperware container??? When fresh mozzarella melts it is white not yellow. If I am paying $ 13 for a 10″ pizza I want FRESH mozzarella as stated in the menu. Not the kind I can buy at the deli in a big long square!!! Big disappointment. Well the second pizza came out, the vodka. It was okay. but they forgot to add the prosciutto as stated in the menu. I chalked that one up to just opening a few days ago. There are only 10 tables in the place and they have 6 waitresses, and the service was still slow. Also there were 4 pizza makers behind cooking putting in about 3 pizza’s at a time when the oven clearly can handle more from what I saw. Service from a time standpoint, Bad. The wood fired oven is beautiful. It would make any Italian, like myself, jealous and I am. But why don’t these people learn how to cook in them and make true wood fired pizza like in Naples. And, yes I have been to Naples, Italy and had the pizza many times there. All in all I will never go back to Michael’s and will say the same to friends or family if they mention they want to go. Value, Service. etc all Bad… Nowhere to leave feedback on their website.
