Do not use the restroom. This place is just really dirty. I have no idea about the food, but this place is pretty sad.

If you need a quick fix between Ames and Crystal Lake this place is the ticket. The prices are great, the service is fast and friendly. The food is simple diner cuisine. Warning: the vegetable burger is a regular meat burger with vegetables, not a veggie burger pattie

Ok I understand this isn’t a fancy diner, but the food isn’t anything to write home about. I had breakfast and it was ok. Please stay away from the lunch special! I got the all u can eat fish and it was below all my expectations. Fish was greasy, cole slaw tasted rancid & the potato salad was warm & mushy. Yuk!!! Service wasn’t any better. When I sent it back & ordered the ol standby(cheeseburger & fries) the other staff brought that bill up & gave me a dirty look. I don’t think so!!! Breakfast was fine I guess, but I’m sure if you’re a local u don’t have a lot to choose from. Sad!!!

There was a ok store there for kids and a c-store look. But the reason for the one star is the situation in the bathrooms. It was very very dirty. A little elbow grease and care by the two employees taking gas money would have made this much better. Just have pride in ur work I guess. I would want to know if this is my place.

Wow! Cheapest brunch ever! This is a no frills diner. It reminded me of a cafeteria. The total bill for my 3 kids and I is $ 12.00. Where do you find that in Cali.

I went there once with my beatiful Filipino wife and ordered some food in the café. After awhile the waitress came and told me she was supposed to clean the table. I told her it was already clean. After a long time of not getting served I got the idea and we left. I went there once more and was behind a hispanic gentleman in line. The cashier ignored him and offered to serve me. I told him to serve the customer ahead of me. These people are backwards redneck racists.

I’ve been drivin’ all day, my hand’s wet on the wheel There’s a voice in my head that drives my heel It’s Gayle callin’, says you’re almost outa gas, get off here! And it’s half past four and I’m shifting gear… We were driving back to Ames from Minneapolis Sunday and although driving through farm country on I-35 is soothing and stunning, you do wonder where the next gas station is when your fuel empty light comes on. Luckily, the Latimer exit came up and a lone Dudley’s Corner beckoned. What I like about Dudley’s is that it’s not a cookie-cutter joint. Inside, you’ll find a nice local Iowa flavour, with a convenience store on your left and a café on your right. Under the Shell sign was a fellow traveler, perhaps on his way to the Hobo Convention in Britt. And soon enough we were back on the road, with another Midwest experience behind us and no doubt another Dairy Queen ahead of us.
