We stopped here for a quick bite to eat on our way to Monterey from Sacramento. We got the frittata plate. It was a really great value for the amount of food you get and it was delicious. The coffee was good too though our mochas could have been hotter.

Nice place with a cozy atmosphere, and located more towards a secluded area, but that’s what makes it better because the place isn’t packed with obnoxious customers. I’ve only tried their Hibiscus tea(size 12) and velvet cake, which added up to $ 5.10, but I can definitely say that their tea is more tart rather than sweet from Starbucks. I absolutely love the décor, it makes me feel comfortable and serene, so I’ll definitely stop by here to grab a peaceful breakfast or lunch next time.

First visit — a very pleasant«find» in Lathrop. If it hadn’t been on Unilocal,I’m not sure how residents would learn of this cute eatery! Lunch was fresh and tasty, and I plan to return soon.

When there to meet my sister for breakfast and fell in love with this place. What a cute place! I loved the tables being mix matched the workers were so nice and helpful. My 2 year old son had room to walk around and exploder. I got him the pancakes, which not only tasted amazing but smelt yummy. I had the breakfast sandwich and my sister had the frittata. Everything was wonderful and affordable this may be our new meet up spot for sure!

We have been stuck in Stockton for a few days and looking for a decent place to eat. Read the reviews for here and decided to come try breakfast. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the food was great. We even came back for lunch and the sandwiches were super yummy too. They make their own bread daily.

My wife and I had panini’s. I had the jalapeño popper and my wife had the Caprese. They were good, nothing special. The bread was good, but… Yeah… Just an ok Panini. We ended it with a dessert, their home made cinnamon bun. Please have a glass a milk on standby if you plan to eating the cinnamon bun. It tasted like a big dry biscuit with frosting. No very tasty.

This is a great hole in the wall, for now. The way they are building Lathrop up this place will be busy like most other places very soon. The service was excellent. Everyone was kind and very attentaive. The food on the other hand was just okay. I got a pepperoni pizza with a Hibiscus Flower Tea– the pizza was very good but I don’t know what flavor I thought the tea would have because it was a very flavorful, good quality tea but too cranberryish for me so If you like a cranberry herbal tea you’ll like it. I think it was a good drink just not for me. I will visit this restaurant again but try a different drink, maybe the Ginger Green Tea…

I will not be back here. I live down the street and so desperately want to support this small business. The food and drinks are GREAT. But the cash register has worked correctly only one of the four times I’ve been here. Wait. I came in this morning and nobody was at the counter. Wait. I was there by myself for more than six minutes before anyone bothered to look for a customer. Wait some more. The drinks, while good, come out SLOW. Wait waitedy wait wait wait. Walked 5 blocks with a 5 yr old on a hot Sunday morning for family breakfast to see a piece of paper taped to the window with new hours that somehow don’t include Sunday!!! 2 of those four times I visited, my order was wrong. And while .500 is a great batting average for a ball player, it ain’t really all that good for a coffee shop! Great idea on paper, but TERRIBLE execution. No signage visible from the arterial road 50 yards away, and while the furniture is a cool hodgepodge of old looking mismatched chairs and tables of all different shapes and sizes, the building itself has been designed with modern walls and fixtures. The combo makes you go «huh!!!» A very frustrating experience from beginning to end… I’ll pay more for the refined chain experience, and that makes me sad.

So I stopped in this evening for a Caprese Panini to go… I can’t stress how good this place is! One of the reasons that makes it so much better than most other places is the freshness of the produce… The tomatoes to be exact! The tomatoes on today’s sandwich taste like they were just picked from the vine! Certainly not the nasty cold storage tomatoes you get everywhere else. The Hibiscus Tea Shaken Lemonade is awesome! Keep up the good work Bites & Babycakes!

This little gem is worth every star! Love the cozy feel of this establishment. Family owned that treats us like family every time we come through the door. Food is well made, flavorful and fresh. The Hawaiian is amazing. Kids loved their Mac n cheese and cupcakes!

This place is a hidden gem that should be discovered! If you’re looking for refreshing drinks(better than Starbucks), delicious pasta, pizza or salad lunch… or if you just want sweet desserts over coffee, check out this place. The breads and pastries are made fresh from scratch and you can tell in the taste! My favorite teas: hibiscus flower and ginger green tea. I also the blueberry cheese Danish! I’m so glad the Lathrop area is getting quality food and friendly service. This is the perfect place to meet with friends!

Located a little out of the way in terms or surrounding business’s Bite’s and Babycakes is a cute little Café /Eatery serving a few Bakery items along with Breakfast and Lunch Staff are really friendly and spoke with my Husband and I for a some time while we were ordering, the Lady(owner, I assume) offered us complimentary samples of Baked goodies while we waited which was really sweet. As I had already purchased 2 Cupcakes and didn’t want to appear rude in taking them I politely declined at first then agree’d to us splitting a Scone which was really good. Not dry and hard like most. Sweet and slightly crumbly it would go great with a cup of Tea( ). As we sat and enjoyed the surroundings my Husband enjoyed his Breakfast Sandwhich( ) while I eyed up the other delicious Bakery items and tempting treats on the menu. The Cupcakes were all mine later that day which I really enjoyed too, a little more dense than most but with a good flavor( ). The Lemon Meringue( ) had just the right amount of tart to sweet and I was impressed at how well the Meringue held up after being driven home and then sat in my kitchen for a few hours. I believe the Cupcakes are $ 3 each. There’s lot’s of seating inside along with a few tables outside if you don’t mind the noise from the freeway. As it turns out we may be moving to Lathrop later in the year so I’m looking forward to the idea of having this place close by.

Breaking news! Finally a restaurant in our neighborhood that has excellent tasting cupcakes and dishes! The cupcakes are fresh with the perfect amount of ingredients that competes with the leading bakeries throughout the United States, that I have traveled in throughout my military career. It is gratifying to be a part of Unilocal, for I would have never known about Bites & Babycakes new opening. For those who want more than a great tasting cupcake, Bites & Babycakes have marvelous tasting frittatas, breakfast sandwiches, and oats to start your day! In addition, they have wonderful tasting salads, sandwiches, soups, and panini! They have various types of beverages. The restaurant staff are professional and friendly and well versed on each dish and cupcakes that they make from scratch! They have military discounts for military members! Bites & Babycakes wins our patronage as repeat customers! Furthermore, we are spreading the good news to stop by Bites & Babycakes and enjoy a meal and a cupcake at a reasonable price in the morning and afternoon. Once you visit Bites & Babycakes and taste their marvelous food, spread the good news to your family, friends and co-workers and they will become repeat customers too!

My family and I had decided to stop here for a little snack since it was close to the freeway. Although I was a little doubtful about the place, seeing that it was in a secluded area, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. I really enjoyed the overall ambiance(and ambiance is extremely important to me) and I thought that the service was very friendly. However, I thought that the food took slightly too long to make, but since Bites and Babycakes Café has only been open for a few months, I think that it’s on it’s way to becoming a thriving business. The food was yummy but didn’t necessarily have that ‘wow factor’ that I was looking for. The coffee was good and the pinwheel pastry we had was good as well. I thought that the name was misleading because I had thought that there would be more baked goods to choose from. I wish that I could have tried the cupcakes, but didn’t really notice because they weren’t even on the menu or in the display case. I would come back here again if we were ever in the area, but I wouldn’t come out of my way just to eat here.
