First visit of the year & our last. They removed the Black Bean Burger from the menu & coupons are very deceptive & very few low calorie items on menu. They are not very inventive.

Went there for Gluten free menu for someone in our party. I’ve been to better locations. I got wrong sandwich, but it was taken off the bill. But overall lacked friendly upbeat staff. Service was slow.

When I come to Uno, I always have a good experience. This experience was no different. The waitstaff was very prompt and helpful, and the burger that I ordered with my add this/hold that requests came out exactly as asked, and the deep dish pizza I got to take home was quite tasty.

Good old Pizzeria Uno! Since recently moving out of Upstate New York, I have since realized that there are even more delicious deep dish pizzas that exists in this world. However, I have to give this place props, they do have some tasty food. I love going to this place to meet up with friends in the bar area for the snack hour(4−7pm & M-F). This particular menu has since been downsized, but there are still many appealing options available. I recently visited and enjoyed the discounted happy hour beer plus half price appetizers at snack hour. The regular menu offers many tasty choices at full price. I would highly recommend checking out the take out menu, there are some good deals available on pizza if you choose to pick up your items.

I try and usually succeed at not eating at chains. However on a Saturday night, with an hour wait at each of our other 2 local Troy locations we wanted to eat at, we decided to say screw it and try UNOs. It’s hard to come into Latham with the only local options being sushi or more sushi, and wanting comfort food, you’re pretty much limited to a chain. Anyway, walking in to a 15 minute wait we agreed. After not even 5 minutes of waiting we were seated at a high top near the bar. Not my ideal spot but we were hungry. Took quite sometime reading their book of a menu but we decided on the Artichoke and Spinach dip to start, and got a regular size deep dish to share. The dip wasn’t special but it wasn’t bad either. Neither of us complained. Moving on to the pizza, I forgot the name of it but it had chicken, spinach, and artichokes. Also no complaints. The crush was especially awesome. Buttery and flavorful. We left with 2 slices left. Most likely would have gotten dessert and finished the pie if we didn’t split an app. They also had Angry Orchard on tap so we of course has to get a glass each of that. Bill coming to $ 39.00. Service wasn’t bad either.

Uno’s in this particular location has had its up and downs over the years. At this particular time, they are not exactly at one of their highs. The menu of Uno’s being all over the place cannot be held against them as its a chain — they don’t control its scattered concept. But in general, the whole experience, really just didn’t make me really care if I ate at an Uno’s again or not. I ordered a the firecracker chicken — sounded like a really interesting dish — had buffalo cheddar cheese, a spicy sauce, house-made guac — I was intrigued. The sandwich itself had potential to be much better, if I got a piece of chicken that covered at least 50% of the bread. Other than the lack of chicken in my sandwich, the rest was actually alright. I got one of the $ 2.49 mini dessert — the white chocolate macadamia cookie with ice cream — a decent enough dessert, especially for the price. Service was meh — our waitress had moments of greatness, but real moments of sucktastic service too. I was very torn on how to really rate the service because on the one hand, she brought us refills around the table without asking, however at the time she brought them, we had all been out of drinks for at least 10 minutes and we hadn’t seen her in about the same amount of time to even ask her(It was a Monday night at Uno’s btw and there were not many tables there — maybe other duties had to be done by wait staff, not sure). She never came by to see how food was once we got it, or to see if orders were correct, and then after she cleaned off the table it took her another 15 minutes to even bring the check. Now at this particular time I was less than pleased as punch because you could see the gathering of waitstaff several times to chat and hang out — which would be fine with me, if we hadn’t already asked for the bill several minutes prior. All in all, service is friendly, but maybe not the most professional. And food, not quite up to par for what I expect out of a chain like Uno’s, but not awful either. In the end, it was not so grotesque that I would throw fits and swear no one should ever eat here, but it also wasn’t so stand out that I would suggest when choosing a chain establishment, or looking specifcally for an Uno’s that one should dine at this establishment.

I usually like Uno’s, but this location was definitely a disappointment. We arrived on a Saturday night around 10 pm, and the place was pretty much deserted. I think there may have been two other tables filled in the entire place. Despite this, it still took a good 10 minutes for our waitress to come over and take our drink order. We ordered a variety of food. I got a chicken quesadilla to start and a deep dish pizza for my main. Unfortunately, everything just didn’t taste as good as it looked in the photos. My deep dish pizza was super greasy with nothing remotely healthy about it(despite the fact that I got the super vegetarian one). The chicken quesadilla was fine. Overall, I left just feeling like I’d had a mediocre dinner. There was nothing horribly offensive about any of it, but there was nothing great. Not that there are many places to go for dinner in the area, but I won’t be going back.

I am not a fan of deep dish pizza, I am more of a thin crust pizza guy. My wife likes the deep dish pizza so we decided to go here. In the past, I use to order a Santa Fa chicken sandwich, but I haven’t been back in so long they must have taken it off the menu… bumper! It was either between the fish and chips or a burger. I asked our server which is better and she said the fish and chips are really good here. So taking her advice that is what I ordered, so did my sister in law. For a app we ordered the chili nachos… that ended up being the best thing we all eat here. I should have not listened to her, it was terrible. I was starving so I manged to choke it down. The breading on the fish was super thick which made the fish extremely greasy. MY sister in law eat 5 bites total and like me she wasn’t a fan of it. My wife’s deep dish cheese looked ok, she didn’t say too much about it. Normally she would finish the entire 4 cut but she didn’t, I think I have converted her into being a thin crust pizza fan from now on. The waitress came back and asks us how is the food, she could tell from our plates we didn’t care for the fish and chips. She took both fish and chips meals off our bill, which was the right and correct thing to do. We order the banana foster for dessert to split, hoping this would be the highlight of the meal. Wrong again… I only eat 2 spoon fulls, my sister in law ended up eating the rest. I think we’ll skip on Uno’s next time, there are better chain restaurants in the same area.

Friday evening my parents asked me to dinner. Whenever I go to dinner with my parents it is a process deciding on a restaurant. For starters my Father is the pickiest eater I have ever met and on top of that they love chain restaurants. We did not have to wait for a table as it was not very busy but were seated at a booth in the bar area. It was very loud and I could barley hear my mother who was sitting directly next to me. I started with the field greens and goat cheese and walnut salad. It was pretty good. The amount of dressing was just perfect. Only thing I would mention is that the pieces of goat cheese were a little big in my opinion. For entrees my mom had shrimp scampi, my father went with a turkey sandwich(oops Dad, this was a Friday during Lent). I decided on the fig goat cheese and broccoli pizza on a 5 grain crust. Our meals arrived in a reasonable amount of time. My parents said their meals were standard. The pizza I had was pretty good. There were a lot of figs, maybe too many for my liking. I wish it had a little bit more pesto and cheese. The one thing I was disappointed in is the amount of non-pizza entrees that did not have any meat. I originally wanted a seafood dish but none of them appealed to me. Overall I think Uno’s is pretty good for the price.

Even though I am a bit of a snob about chain restaurants – you know, support local businesses and all that – this is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The menu is really great, especially since they redesigned it with the small plates. The stuffed mushrooms are freaking UNBELIEVABLE. I love the shrimp and crab fondue and I usually get either the rattlesnake pasta or the warm walnut-crusted goat cheese salad, depending on whether or not I’m being good. But food aside(as this menu is hardly unique to this location), I’ve been to every Uno’s in the area and this one has given me consistently wonderful service. Only once have I had a bad experience, and I went online and used the survey address provided on my receipt to give a review about a waitress’ poor service. I didn’t ask to be contacted, but the next day the manager called me, apologizing profusely, and she insisted on sending me an Uno’s gift card – I don’t remember if it was for $ 20 or $ 25, but I did not expect this at all. I hadn’t given a bad review looking for free stuff. That is literally the only time I haven’t been perfectly happy with my experience here, and that was over two years ago. I am treated well here, even if I’m here by myself. This is the best Uno’s in the area and the food is fantastic. What’s not to like?

Like the food but BAD service! We are here right now for a new years eve dinner and were prepare to throw down some cash for food and drinks for those of us that were drinking but Ashley, our waitress, rarely came by our table and we had to ask for drinks when our glasses were empty and now we are off to spend time where we would be more welcome. Food was good and the hostess who seated us was very nice but I would have liked to try at least another 2 or 3 drinks.

You know, I feel really sad that a lot of places I used to like are getting so shoddy in their performance. At this point, I’m not convinced it really is a «sophistication of the palate», it really is just the fact that this place(read: chain) isn’t anywhere near as good as it used to be 10 years ago. Granted the«health conscious» people have made it so they have to change the process a little bit(seriously, I don’t go here to eat healthy), but even with that, everything is somewhat poorly conceived and executed. It just makes me sigh. [sigh].

I use to work here so Im def biased. Trust me there re no healthy options, and most of the employees don’t care much about the customers or making actual quality food. Decent Bonless wings and good thin crust pizzas.

It’s a chain, and it isn’t one of my favorites. This Uno’s is hit or miss in terms of both food and service.(But for the record, I’ve had overall better experiences at the Uno’s in Crossgates Mall.) The waitstaff here is usually pretty attentive, but some are more friendly than others. Maybe it’s just me, but I personally feel I’m entitled to be waited on by someone who is at least willing to fake the basic pleasantries. I do really like their soup, which is consistently good, and the salads are also good. Pastas are okay, but who wants to spend $ 15 on a dish you could make at home for $ 3? I had the salmon recently, which was encrusted with so much seasoned salt that I had to scrape the top layer off. The bread wedge that came with my dish also seemed to be quadruple salted and I actually considered spitting it into my napkin. One of my pet peeves is getting a blended drink served to me with a huge splash all down the side of the glass that the waiter(/tress) didn’t feel the need to wipe off. I love sticky goo all over my hands. In fact, don’t bother giving me a straw; I’ll just eat it with my fingers. Perfect! Also, Uno’s has hiked their prices quite a bit recently, which I don’t appreciate, particularly since the quality is inconsistent. In fact, the more I type here, the less likely I think I am to come back to Uno’s.
