Stayed in main building and it was less than desirable. The black mold in the bathroom and the makeup stains on the bed covers were reasons for 1 star. Not worth. $ 100.

Spent 2 nights here recently, based upon a friend’s recommendation and the fact that our usual hotel in the Albany area was booked. The lobby was pleasantly decorated. The front desk staff was always pleasant to us. Enjoyed the 20% discount at Sake restaurant which is within walking distance. We were pleasantly surprised as we were upgraded to a king suite, and it was a very roomy suite with a great layout. Very easy access from the highway and conveniently located between Albany and Schenectady. The complimentary breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and fresh fruit. Warm cookies were available in the afternoon. Will definitely stay here again.

This Quality Inn is in a great location. It has easy on/off access from I-87 at Exit 6. I have a number of friends who like to stay here when they go to Saratoga for the racetrack or SPAC because of the easy access. But a lot of people seem to know that already. I got shut out of a room reservation here once a weekend recently when Dave Matthews was playing at SPAC. They are also convenient to the Albany Airport, with a shuttle, and they are about the same distance from Albany, Schenectady, and Troy — again, an ideal location. There are actually 3 buildings housing all the rooms, but I’ve only ever been in the main one. As seems to be typical with Quality Inns, each one has unique qualities, as does this one: Plusses: — Location(as per above) — As a rewards program member, I tend to get more upgrades at this particular Quality Inn than any other Choice Hotel — Free Wi-Fi — An outdoor swimming pool available in the summer, which is always clean and very well maintained — An exercise room with a treadmill, stepper, and nautilus — A discount at nearby Sake restaurant Minuses: — Smaller than usual breakfast area. The primary breakfast area is 5 tables, seating 4 each, in the lobby area. When it is busy, a nearby conference room is available as spillover. — This one doesn’t feature waffles. Instead you get scrambled eggs and sausage patties. The eggs are powdered. The sausage is sometimes greasy. The rest of the breakfast selection is typical continental breakfast fare. To their credit, it is always very well stocked. — During the coldest part of the winter, some rooms are challenging to keep warm. If you’re staying here during February, make sure you’re comfortable with the room temperature before going to bed, or be prepared to possibly bundle up. — I am more likely to get«uncooperative» room keys at this particular hotel. I think their key card machine is finicky. While there’s a few things which keep me from giving this an «Outstanding» review, this is still my favorite place to stay in the Capital District area.
