A really great fall treat for families! We came with our 2 young children and there is so much to do! A couple of our favorite parts are the giant pillow jumper, the mini train, hay climb and the pumpkin patch! We made a day of it and were not disappointed, plenty to keep you busy. A few things I would recommend, extra water, come earlier than later, and bring your own food.

Great place for families, so many activities to do. I would say that I’d give it 5 stars but the Scream Acres was identical to last year — same theme, same scary parts *with the exception of the one new building which was great!* but I’m only rating it 3 stars because I felt like I paid for the same exact haunted corn maze I did last year, wasn’t even scary because I knew what was coming. Would like it more if the scripts/theme were changed up, even just a little from year to year

We were not the least bit impressed The lines were long, which was to be expected this time of year, but the anticipation leading up to entering the haunted part was quickly diminished. Something other than the standard, over played, lame haunted house would have been nice. We won’t return or recommend.

I am glad that someone put an entry on Unilocal for Fritzler’s Corn Maize. I was going to add an entry for it but it looks like someone made it before I did. So in that regard thank you! I would give Fritzler’s six or seven stars if I could. It is one of the best haunted features that rolls around every year during Halloween. I am a pretty jaded person when it comes to things that are horror based so when I say that Fritzlers gives me an occasional chill it is really saying something! Fritzlers gives me chills in the typical sense of people jumping out at you behind corners but then there is the psychological chill which is the kinds of ‘scares’ that really get me. Like the slight anxiety you have when you keep hitting dead ends in the corn maze and haven’t come across a marker or a hint in a very long time. Or the pale moonlight and how it hits the stalks and sometimes a breeze going through the corn husks which startle you because you don’t know if someone is going to scare you or not. The Scream Acres part is probably the best part. The hard working farming family that puts this up every year has the concept different every year but always to make sure to have the old favorites to what people like as far as getting scared in Scream Acres. There are other attractions as well like the 3-D Maze, The Beast, Corn and Pumpkin Cannons, Pedal Go Carts, and a big jumping cushion. In the day time they have the Barrel Train and other activities going on. If you make reservations and pay a tidy sum Fritzler’s will take you up in a helicopter so you can see the intricate maze design. It is different each year and has been in the national news from time to time and almost every Halloween season in the Denver Post. So this is no small operation I tell you. For about $ 20 you can go through many of these features at night except for the Barrel Train and a few other activities. Fritzlers sells concessions and souvenirs most of the time during the daylight and moonlight hours. During the off season the corn either looks shriveled or rows of green corn husks where a maze has not been conceived yet. Some props are left there all year around and all it looks like is a bunch of junk in a corn field. It is so much more when Halloween rolls around though. Fritzlers opens in early to mid September and though they don’t have the haunted attractions up and ready as soon as they open they do have squash and pumpkins for sale as well as some day time activities. Things really get busy in late September when the haunted attractions do open on the weekends. The last time I was here I made sure that me and my group came early because it takes a while to go through all of the attractions. Either it was poor planning on my part but this year my Fritzler event fell on a Saturday and there was a huge crowd that kept growing as the night progressed. The lines were just enormous! Usually we can get in and out on these attractions but this year there was a line for just about every attraction! The staff that work here and the actors that play it up in certain parts of Fritzlers usually do their best but when it rolls around 9pm people want to go home so they try to make you move along a little faster. But boy this last year when we went it would take them forever to get done scaring people. I am sure I am missing some points to touch on and some you just have to see for yourself. This past year was my 4th year here so I am a faithful customer in always coming back each season. You can find out more about Fritzlers by going to their website which is where you can get more info about them. For a person jaded in the horror and getting scared genre(I am not silly 13 year old teenage girl that screams at everything that moves) I always get a chill here at Fritzler’s maze’s and Fritzlers is a great place for the more jaded towards horror types to 13 year old girls who quiver at everything; it is fun for the whole family or whoever you bring. The experience is even more enhanced if you have a great love for Halloween and autumn.

A group of friends and I drove out from Boulder to visit the Frtizler corn mazes. None of us had ever been to a corn maze before, so we were pretty excited and looking for the whole experience. We told ghost stories on the way there, and listened to corny Halloween music. This place is in the boon docks of farm country, so we did start to get some goose bumps(especially from this creepy white car that was driving crazy in the next lane, which we couldn’t ditch). We arrived around 7pm on a Thursday. We were surprised at how many people were there, and how many attractions they had. We could pay $ 16 to go through the mazes(one nonscary and one«haunted»), or we could pay $ 20 for the combo pack(both mazes, «the creature,» 3D maze, pedal bike races, trampoline jump, and pumpkin/corn canon). For only 4 extra dollars we said, why not? And I’m sure glad we did. It’s not that anything was particularly amazing, but that we were with a good group of friends and everything was so kitschy that we made it into a good time. It was a good corn maze! The haunted corn maze has a section called«scream acres» which is more like a haunted house area, but in different trailers. It’s a little hard to explain, but it was pretty well done. The«actors» get into it. Two hours was all we needed, and we really had a good time. It feels pretty carnival, but I think that really adds to the experience.
