Dr. Wahi is a University of Nevada Medical School professor and practices internal medicine at their Las Vegas location. I discovered her through U.S. News and World Report’s «Best Doctors in the USA. Dr Wahi is a careful person when it comes to diagnosing and treating your ailments and helps you decide your next course of action. She will suggest, in a nice way, and always explains why you need an exam or medication. Always she’s been way ahead of me on taking care of myself and that’s the kind of doctor to have. My regret is not always following what I know would be a healthier lifestyle, in cooperation with my doctors’ help. The office has a nice staff and up-to-date digital record keeping that’s fairly new and getting better every day. Don’t be too put off by the waiting room. I guess UNV puts it funds into medicine, not fancy waiting rooms. Maybe someday Nevada will be able to afford better or some generous casino owner will donate a building here for our own medical school and it will have nice waiting rooms and doctors offices.

My primary doctor, Dr. Wahi, is wonderful. I originally found her ranked as a Top doctor from a Top Doctors listing from Desert Companion. She is straight forward and doesn’t prescribe or recommend any unnecessary tests, procedures, MRIs, etc. I think her main focus is preventative but as natural as possible. They don’t over-schedule patients like some other turn and burn doctors’ office. The wait is about 5 minutes to get into an exam room, and another 5 minutes for the doctor to come in. The staff there are also pleasant and when I need to refill a prescription, I leave message with the department and usually get a prescription in the mail in a week!
